Thomas P. Ravenelle, the special agent in charge of the FBI's Denver office, said federal authorities can provide additional manpower and will assist as needed.

The articles today are the first I have seen that indicate that two shots were fired at the woman who was injured.

If we only include the two victims who were shot, the culprit doesn't need a car. Both sites are in easy walking or biking distance from Timnath or one of the farms or small developments in the area. Someone traveling this way is not limited to the roads. You can for example walk from Timnath to near the site of the Jacoby murder by following the railroad tracks.

If one or more of the window breaking incidents are included, it is a good indication that the culprit is traveling by car.

(I've been meaning to post this for a while, but keep forgetting. Here is its fwiw:

Several weeks before the first shooting of CR, maybe a month or 2 prior, obviously before I started this thread, my bff told me about her friend's car window shattering on I-25. We happened to be talking about the cost of windshield repair, or something of the sort. I remember she said something along the lines of, "Have you ever had your window shatter while going down the freeway? It's like an explosion..."...not the exact words but you get the idea...She was on I-25. My friend told me her friend now thinks and wonders if it might have been related to all this. I'm not sure if she contacted police yet, as I'm only the friend of the friend, but I will try to find out more information and urge my friend to to urge her friend to report it, if she has not already.)

Thanks again Forager and FHG for your work on this case! Now that the 2 cases have been positively linked, we are already all in place---we have every article, and thanks to you guys thorough map and timeline. Yes, possibly unrelated incidents could be listed, but they're there just in case, just like documenting attempted abduction cases nearby in a mp case.

As we head into these new waters with LE's confirmation of a positive link between the random shootings of CR and JJ, I'm thinking my approach at this time would like to be to look solely at those 2 incidents, map and timeline wise.

Perhaps a comparative table / chart...brainstorming.
