just wondering...does anyone know if there is a video game that simulates this behavior?
Great question sG!
just wondering...does anyone know if there is a video game that simulates this behavior?
Knock on wood...(I think the perp(s) might be hoping for this, jmo).

'Why would they release the info of other agencies being involved in this investigation, yet not want to release the names of the other agencies to the public'?
The circumstances are showing no distinguishable patterns? I am at a loss...

Northern Colorado shootings task force sends letter to public, includes shattered windows update

The letter explains that while the FBI, Windsor Police, Loveland Police, Larimer County Sheriff's Office, Weld County Sheriff's Office and other agencies are involved in this investigation, authorities don't want to release the names of the other agencies at this time.
The letter also explains that the task force is not releasing some information about their investigation on purpose.
"During a normal investigation, we might very likely outline the numbers and types of resources being used, however with the unique nature of this investigation we have concluded that revealing those kinds of specific details could be counterproductive to expeditiously solving these cases," the letter says.
As for the sharp increase in reports of shattered windows, the letter reiterates that so far, there is no connection to the shootings.
"To date, we have found no solid evidence that any of these incidents are related to our shootings," the letter says. "However, to be sure, we have assigned a work group at the task force to review any and all of these types of incidents that are being reported."
The letter goes on to say, "Not only have we not found physical evidence tying them together, but the circumstances are showing no distinguishable patterns. Again, we are not in a position to give too many details, but so far it seems most likely that these are being caused by road debris."
Right after the Vehicle description came out I tried searching craigslist, oodle, and a few other trucks for sale sites. THAT is like a needle in a haystack! Lol.
here's a link from this morning's Denver Post about the FBI and NOCO Task Force and the latest incident... http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_2...es-loveland-lead-colorado-shooting-task-force
it says they closed off 18th St between Chelsea Drive and Denver Ave...short stretch of road in a residential area with a string of LE officers lined up appearing to do a grid search?... notice there is a white Ford SUV parked in front...
I don't know what is more frightening: That the 2 Loveland shootings are done by the shooter of Romero and Jacoby and that there is a serial shooter that is that heinous and aggressive, OR that there are actually 2 lunatics driving around shooting innocent people!

I had wondered about CSU earlier, but that vehicle doesn't seem like a typical "college car." That truck would get TERRIBLE gas mileage.Yes it is. But it's all we've got, so keep searching, lol! That's my exciting plan for this weekend
Maybe it's a college kid's car. You know, one of those Point A to Point B cars...
Ft. Collins listings / CSU...?
Foxfire, the same thing immediately crossed my mind. It is indeed odd/interesting to me that some agencies can not be named publicly. I've never seen this stated in a case here before, have you guys?
I have been thinking long and hard about the other possible agencies that could be involved, and why they might not be named. Since LE has stated that this anonymity is in order to protect the integrity of the investigation, I will refrain from speculating on this aspect, but I did want to ask you guys out of curiosity's sake if you've ever seen in a PC LE openly state they can not name the other agencies involved.
This case / thread is unique in many ways from most of the other cases we see here on ws imo...it is an interesting change of pace from an investigative stand-point, as far as my approach in a missing person's case, but perhaps the one common factor is the importance of mapping, and perhaps awareness space...is awareness space a strong consideration in a case like this? I'm not so sure if it applies as much here, or does it? Do you guys think the perp(s) might shoot in his own backyard, or do you think he might take a trip/excursion further from his awareness space? I still think there's a strong chance that he could be in the area for work...jmo

Thank you, searchinGirl, for this news, more info for the map.
Yes, Thank You for sharing, searchinGirl.. This is excellent news that NOCO Task Force investigators seem to be hot on the serial shooter's trail, due to a citizen/s tip...imo.. I've never seen seen that many multi agency LEOs lined up on a street, shoulder to shoulder before, except during riots..
Is the LEO on the right side of the street searching a trash can?

Margarita...this is a very good post...thought provoking...an excellent article about geographic profiling...and regarding what the task force has to say...it's like they are saying its useless for us to speculate and theorize because there is so much we don't know but keep on speculating and please do keep calling in those leads...
I agree this is great news they are actively searching for evidence.
To me, it appears they looking for a shell casing or the projectile itself.
So we here at WS are on the right track too with all our discussions.
And you were right Foxfire that many tips flooded into them once they released the info on the truck. [/B]
I just hope that LE begins to realize that they can use the public much more quicker than their past policies. I understand they need to keep some stuff under wraps but I think they can flip it around entirely.
Like instead of thinking what little bit they can dribble out to the public, how about thinking what little bit they have to keep under wraps and give us the rest so we can help LE catch criminals like this sooner.
I appreciate your continued awareness and realization that the public can be LE best weapon in fighting crime when it is utlized.
