Is "One Love" a reference to Bob Marley? If so, seems kind of paradoxical, because Bob Marley sang against violence, not for it...Maybe a reference to ganja?

well, when I googled "303 one love" smoke shops in Loveland and Ft Collins showed up so could be and I think it could be Marley but I think it goes much further than that...it's his little dua prayer to Islam...

this is a link to One Love Loveland...it's got the marley flag inset on the page but I don't believe it's a pot dispensary...it has a hookah lounge but I think it's probably been there since the 70's...it sells paraphernalia...and probably lets you smoke your own stuff there...

Folks, something must have happened. This thread went from the normal 1 guest viewing to 37 guests viewing in just a few minutes. Anyone have any info as to the reason why?

Ok, that's weird. Going to do some poking around, see if I can find anyone talking about us.

I didn't find any new references to the thread. No new news articles. Seems you scared them away...although I see a few right now.

Can someone PLEASE look at the creepy photo we were talking about and compare it to grandparents house?? Look at the greenery, and what I think is a tall rooftop ( or hill) in the background of the creepy picture. I really need people to tell me that there is no way it's the same place , not even possibly the back of the grandparent house. I need to be able to stop obsessing over that picture. ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! Lol

Sad to say it looks like it's in the same neighborhood but doesn't look like grandparents house...Can't find the right angle but the overhead power lines are a giveaway and the building in the back with green roof can't find but its almost identical to apartment buildings down the street...can't find the exact location though...

I added some extra tags right then (NS, etc.).

Or maybe people are searching and hit us on:
Bob Marley videos.
Medical Marijuana.

Or maybe the task force is having a group meeting, lol.
(Upstream its stated that they have daily meetings.)

Mayor: Police Pursuing Active Shooter in Chattanooga, Tenn.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Jul 16, 2015, 12:49 PM ET
Associated Press
An active shooter was reported at a military facility in Chattanooga, the city's mayor and the U.S. Navy said Thursday.

Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke said at a news conference that it was a horrific situation. He did not release any other details. Berke said there's "an officer down" at a military reserve center.

"It's a very terrible situation," he said.

I'd initially posted this, by mistake - or maybe the mods moved it over - to the Chattanooga thread:

OT(ish). Some background on the Tennessee shooter, allegedly Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez.

< snipped so it doesn't get moved to Chattanooga again >

ETA: I checked for recent unsolved highway shootings of cars in motion in Tennessee and parts of neighboring states that might suggest a prelude to the Chattanooga shooting, as some suspect might have happened in our case. I came up with very little. There were a pair of shootings in late 2012 in Clarksville, TN, about 150 miles northwest of Chattanooga, and another pair on 12/3/14 in Memphis, TN, about 260 miles west of Chattanooga.

Given the very fast spike in guest count, and it's not having persisted, my guess would be that it was an artifact of how some crawler or search engine does its work. That or some electronic distribution of a link to a very focused group. Can't think who or why, though.

Re: Foragers Post 956

That was a good idea to check that.
Did we ever check California area for any possible random shootings or car window shootings at the time frame where we expected him to be in that last month before he killed his grandparents?

I may try to do some google searches to see if I spot anything that may have happened in CA.

Hatfield has back on the shatterings now and I know we discussed ninja rocks in the early days here...and some of the following was likely posted way upstream...

BBM:

"Tempered glass, which is used for the side windows of most vehicles, is manufactured with an extremely high surface compressive stress and high internal tensile stress, giving it strength and durability, but also leading it to abruptly shatter into thousands of tiny pieces when it breaks. When thrown with moderate speed at a side-window, a sharp shard of the exceptionally hard aluminium oxide ceramic used in spark plugs focuses the impact energy into a small enough area without blunting to initiate cracking, releasing the internal energy and shattering the glass.[7] However, ninja rocks are ineffective if the shards are insufficiently sharp, thrown with too little energy, or thrown against windshields, as these are made of a laminated type of safety glass, and therefore do not shatter."
