Catching up and I also want to thank everyone for the hard work put in.

I cannot think of anything else to add at this point.

Its interesting to me that over in the NY inmate escape thread that I was thinking that the escapees are probably holed up somewhere and waiting till the heat dies down first before they make an attempt at a bolder move to get out of the area.

Maybe perhaps the Colorado shooter maybe doing similar. He maybe is waiting till the heat dies down before he strikes again. The news reports may have jarred him into thinking that LE was getting too close. So he may be waiting awhile now.

I do think he will strike again in due time. Just not sure what will trigger him.

<BBM for Focus>

You may be on to something, Hatfield. The NO CO Sniper/Serial Killer may no longer be the hunter, but may have now become the hunted, imo. If this is the case, this is likely due to the awareness being created by the MSM coverage and social media, combined with the raising of the reward, and the loosening up of info<vehicle/s of interest, etc.> being released to the citizens by the task force, imo.
It is also possible that the task force already has the shooter on their radar, or even in their cross hairs, but is crossing their T's and dotting their I's to insure a successful prosecution..

The two things that we can be reasonably sure of is that there has been no more shootings or murders of innocent victims since the June 3/2015 killing of 65 year old William Roger Connole Jr.. and the Co Sniper/Serial Killer is no longer escalating..

Map tip. Google maps never open to the zoom and placement you want.

To Zoom:
- Hit the + and - keys on the keyboard, or
- Click on the + and - icons on the lower right side of the screen, or
- Roll the mouse's wheel, if yours has one, forward for IN and backwards for OUT, or
- To zoom IN, double LEFT click, using the open hand cursor, anywhere on the map (except when it's hovering over a map marker), and
- To zoom OUT, double RIGHT click.

To Pan (to move the map up, down, left, or right):
- Hit the directional arrow keys on the keyboard. (But not the "<" and ">" arrows on the top of the comma and period keys.) Or,
- Click and drag with the open hand cursor.

Forager, I love your map...I think the area of this aerial photo is just about the area of the triangle formed by the 3 crime scenes... it's everything but the Cori Romero crime scene that's barely cut off on the right side... Loveland is about as far as you can see from there on the left side a little more than halfway up...and the Windsor crime scene is directly east of the water body on the left - Fossil Creek Reservoir... I thought it was an amazing find and hope you agree...

I certainly do think it is a neat find, searchingGirl, thank you. It's a breathtaking view of the area. Various features seen near where John Jacoby was found appear in the view you found as well, interestingly enough.

Nice! That photo adds a lot to my sense of the lay of the land. Let me see if I can mark the two murders on it and get in onto the map. Thank you!

There is a lot of water around here and right now most of northern colorado is under a flood advisory...if it rains heavily the already soaked ground leaves the water no place to go and the streams and rivers swell...if it's hot and sunny the snowpack melts and floods the creeks and rivers in the canyons ... Many roads are washed out and there are unexpected detours...Do you think the shooter could possibly not be escalating because he can't?... IDK...these killings remind me of son of Sam more than anything else...I don't think he's done...

Thank you, searchingGirl, for these details, it may support the notion that this is a local who is very familiar with any number of factors in the the areas selected to strike, is capable of going unnoticed so quickly and effectively so far as to avoid detection, and is very cautious and deliberate, as Foxfire pointed out earlier.

Thanks again for posting that. It is a great shot, and just the sort of thing to make the map tell the story better. I'm seeing the angle of the photo differently than you, though. Check me, but I think it, misses three key shooting sites.

Arial from over I25 Panoramio .png

The screen shot of the map shows red lines for the limits of what the camera was seeing from the blimp. Click on "Blimp Photo" entry, at the end of the list that is below the map title, to see the arial photo you had linked. Or click on the red lines on the map itself.

Here's the case map link.

FindHG tipped me to a shooting incident in Denver from late Friday, 6/14/15. To us, it seems quite different from the ones we have been looking at, but judge for yourselves:

An unidentified woman was cleaning her car at a car wash when two cars pulled up in front of her. They shot six bullets: two thru the hood, two thru the front passenger window and into the steering column, one thru the back window and one in the front bumper. None hit the woman. It happened at about 9 p.m. Sat. 6/14/15 near South Yosemite St. and East Hampden Ave. in Denver.

A purple star at the bottom of the screenshot marks the shooting. It is a 60 to 70 mile drive to the Connole, Jacoby and Romero shootings. I expect to take the marker off the map shortly unless someone sees a connection that I'm missing.

WOW. That would be a really different MO and quite an escalation if the car wash shooting was connected. I mean TWO CARS, brazenly pull up and open fire?

IDK. It sounds more like a gang shooting to me. But who knows?

I agree that that particular one at the car wash sounds a lot like a gang drive-by shooting.

We have a lot of random gang drive by shootings where I live and they are getting ridiculous around where I live. We even had 1 at a car wash too not long ago. The gangs sometimes shoot at random people as the news says the people are sometimes elderly and definitely not in a gang. Around here, I honestly think the gangs sometimes do it just for "points" or "prestige" to move up in their gang which is unbelievable and ridiculous these days. Many years ago we didnt have to worry about driving late at night. Nowadays it is not even safe to drive to certain parts of town after dark because of all the stories of drive by shootings from vehicles. It is really sad these days.

I agree Katydid23.. It is likely an unrelated incident, imo. While scanning the other news stories I ran across another likely unrelated broad daylight shooting in Denver from May 25/2015 which was tied to road rage..

I haven't been able to spend as much time on her this last week, so I havent kept totally up to date. No individuals shot for two weeks, but have there been any more window shatterings? I haven't heard much. Is our shooter being more cautious now that LE and the public are watching? Or is he/she/they busy with work, etc. Is the rainy weather inhibiting him? Or is he still looking for his next location/opportunity?

PrairieWind, bumping this post to update you. Yes, there has been one reported car window shattering, if my memory is correct.

<snipped from link & BBM for Focus>

On June 3/2015, William Connole, Jr. was shot and killed at East First Street and Saint Louis Avenue in Loveland.

The task force, comprised the FBI and multiple northern Colorado law enforcement agencies, has linked the shootings of Romero and Jacoby. The task force has said the shooting death of Connole is likely linked to the other two shootings.

Dozens of shattered car window cases in Northern Colorado now being reviewed by shooting task force

Thanx for sharing this eyeopening article, searchinGirl. Imo, the stressing of the June 3, William Connole, Jr., murder by the task force as being likely linked to the CO Serial Sniper is huge and has elevated this investigation, which is very tragic breaking public safety news for local Coloradans.. We no longer are sleuthing a serial shooter, but an organized Serial Killer/Predator who has no preferred victim profile and arbitrarily targets random unsuspecting victims of opportunity. The most difficult of soulless stealth predators to identify and apprehend, imo..

Imo, many, if not most of the shattered windows incidents will not be linked to the CO Serial Sniper/Killer by the Task Force due to a lack of thorough initial investigations by first responding officers, combined with the length of time that has passed since the incidents..
Ironically, imo, this was the intent of this well versed investigative and forensically aware organized serial shooter/killer.
This is indicated due to the many police jurisdictions where the shattered window incidents occurred. Due to the lack of communication between the various LE agencies, and the common occurrance of shattered car windows by road debris, the proverbial dots were simply not connected.

This calculating and creative serial predator has used jurisdictional linkage blindness very effectively to delay the dark and bleak portrait, that he has been masterfully, yet patiently painting, from being revealed until the time he so chooses for the unveiling..

for PrairieWind:

All new incidents have been updated to the map, as well as some of those that have come up that may be of curiosity but unrelated.

Just getting in and caught up, not sure if this has been posted:

"Rock blamed for shattered window in northeast Fort Collins"
http://www.coloradoan.com/story/news/2015/06/15/rock-shattered-vine-waterglen/28790457/

There was another shattered in Ft C yesterday afternoon. They found a rock inside the car. The window had heavy tint so didn't shatter all the way like the others. The driver was insistent there were no other cars around. They are investigating if it was fired from a slingshot, etc.

"shattered a driver-side window..."

"near Vine and Waterglen drives in Fort Collins..."

"Monday afternoon..."

"a half-dollar-sized rock.."

"in between the seat and the door..."

Sounds new, margarita25. It should go into the map and spreadsheet. That's good aim with a slingshot, I wish we had a picture of the rock. Maybe they'll release a more specific time and details about location exactly. Posted and quoted as such for the map and spreadsheet reference.

"Because the window was so heavily tinted, parts of it stayed in place, according to Fort Collins police. "
