I am surprised the defense did not call any specialists to say Lane had mental issues. IMO from what I read, Lane did know right from wrong but appeared to be twisting some facts.

Why did the defense try to get the charges thrown out saying the prosecution did not prove its case? They had Lane 's testimony...what did I miss?
