GUILTY CO - Richard & Mayumi Heene charged in Balloon Boy Hoax, Fort Collins, 2009 - #2

  • #221
lets not forget:

"Richard Heene has shared many opinions on his YouTube channel(recently taken down), but one of his most "entertaining" offerings is Heene's rant about makeup, fake breasts, and Britney Spears, during which he puts on women's cosmetics and prances about in a white brassiere."

No remorse from this guy I guess. He has "Free Richard!" up on his website now.

I hope he sticks with his full first name.

I think you're mixing his website up with Bill Clinton's. :saythat:

That's Richard Heene's website.

I wonder if it's the network that airs "Wife Swap" that pulled the video clips -- b/c sheesh, maybe it doesn't look good for them having had a potential felon and a certifiable psycho on the show. (or maybe not; IDK; I dont watch that reality TV stuff) (For example, I dont watch John and Eight Plus Kate; I just read enough about them here to sufficiently loathe them.) :)

To know, know, know them, is to loathe, loathe, loathe them, and I do and I do and I do...

IMO, the only "reality" TV shows are the one's where nobody is aware the camera is there. (i.e. bait car and video from hidden camera's in stores and such.)

Once somebody knows a camera is on them all reality leaves the situation. Their actions are no longer honest.

I hope Colorado Protective services gets in touch with Calif prot. svcs. How does that work? Is there a national database that they log into, to cross-check states?

This part of the TMZ report really sticks out:
"In the docs, Heene says he needed the restraining order to get Wineroth to "stop falsely reporting derogatory information to agencies who have an interest to conduct investigations resulting in wasting my time."

In the end, Heene's request for a restraining order against Wineroth was eventually dismissed because Richard was a no-show in court.

Interesting that Richard doesn't want others wasting his time, but he's more than happy to waste everyone else's time.

I have a feeling he no-showed in court due to the fact that he would have to prove the allegations false and he wasn't quite prepared to do that. :cow:

Or maybe he just didn't want to waste his time. :snooty:

Top balloon whoppers 2:28
The best and weirdest moments from the Balloon Boy saga. CNN's Jeanne Moos hands out awards for the biggest whoppers.

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/offbeat/2009/10/19/moos.ballon.whoppers.cnn

That's freaking funny!!

OMG at the video part I didn't see: "Who the h*ll is Wolf?"

*trying not to laugh, trying not to laugh, trying not to laugh* It was rude behavior, but just the randomness of it caught me off-guard* LoL

It's ok to laugh at others rude children, just not your own.

i think that some of the children may have add/adhd and the middle one seems to have an ocd and is doing something with his hands/ arms towards the end of the is video.
its of the family on the larry king show

YouTube - Balloon Boy's Pop: This Was Not A Publicity Stunt
YouTube - Falcon Heene: Balloon Boy Vomits on Today Show

heres the family on the today show: (after falcon said they did it for the on the show larry king show the night before)

YouTube - Colorado Balloon Incident- Today Show
8 mins 41 seconds gives some interesting background info on the family
5:19 into the video is the interview with the family, before that is the background info

the dad is asked if its a publicity stunt and says "what do i have to gain out of this?"
i think that some people are addicted to getting publicity (this applies to famous people as well) and they will do whatever it takes to get more.

i really think falcon was so scared (his dad probably got mad at him the night before after what he said on larry kind that "we did this for the show"). i wouldn't abuse past the father at all and it seems falcon threw up more out of fear of his dad and the whole thing than anything else

they don't draw the line between positive and negative attention/publicity.

Bolded by me. He should demand a refund from that acting class, just sayin. :loser:

here is the rap video the heene family made:

YouTube - Falcon Heene Rap

that whole family is out of control!!
the video features the kids simulating crapping in the road, and one sitting on a toilet covered in fake feces! just listen to the lyrics:eek::eek::eek:

:blushing: :blushing:

From behind dude! From behind!!

If you listen after the dude jumps him from behind somebody off camera says something like; "Turn off the camera's dude we're winning."

I really don't blame the guy. I would go nuts in a situation like that. Good lord that's intrusive into innocent people's lives.

Have any of you guys done the calculations yet? To see HOW much Helium it would take to lift 45 kg (just a random number) to a height of 3000 feet? Just curious to see how my numbers match everyone else's. :) TIA

When I see dad Heene on TV, all I can think of is "Moe" from the 3 Stooges. I don't know why...

  • #227

Good grief. There was no limit to the running cameras to capture all the bad behavior. The guy running after the tussling men with his hand camera was quite a sight.

When does freedom of speech, the freedom of the press become so intrusive and aggressive it is criminal in itself?

I wonder if this is more than Heene bargained for or exactly what he wanted?

IMO, you couldn't be more wrong about that. MOE was A LOT smarter than RH. :cow:

Moe knew he was a ridiculous character. I'm pretty sure RH is unaware of that fact about himself.

If this had been a media circus of pity and things like the neighbor deal happened he'd prancing around in his bra singing "The sun will come out tomorrow." The way it now, not so much. I think his bra is full of tears now. :loser:

OT: I don't recall using the :loser: smiley more in one thread than this one. Just an observation.

Oh, I agree, Moe was smarter...intellect didn't enter into my statement. I think it's his Moe-like hairstyle.

Interesting background on Mayumi Heene

http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment...eene-conspirator-abused-wife/story?id=8865824

"She's from Japan. She told me stories about her life in Japan with her father. He was very overbearing and abusive. She came over here to be an actress," Slusser said. "Who does she meet? Richard Heene. They met in acting school when she could barely speak English. He wowed her. She kind of went from the frying pan to the fire."

CBS interview with Co-Workers: Heene Was Ballistic

Science show hosts Barbara Slusser and Scott Stevens show concern for the Heene children and tell that Richard Heene could go ballistic.

I did a rough calculation, not sure if I'm right:

Breaking news! CO-Boy Floats Away In Homemade Balloon Craft Urgent search underway - Page 10 - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

With the new info we have perhaps someone can ruth through it again (as I'm traveling right now)...

I did a rough calculation using: Helium has a lifting capacity of 1.02 kg/m3 (0.0640 lb/ft3).

Say the balloon is 21 feet - the radius would be ~10 feet. Say the balloon height average is ~2.5 feet. The area cylinder area would be ~780 cubic feet. Each cubic foot can lift 0.064 lbs. So 780 x .064 = ~50 pounds of lift.

Mylar does not weigh very much. I have no idea how much the gondola weighs.

Falcon weighted in at a whooping 37 lbs.

It would be close.

This said, you can tell from the lift videos and balloon flight there is no payload inside. Also, I noticed the balloon lost a lot of helium from the original takeoff volume (almost 1/3 was gone upon landing) - which is strange as mylar balloons usually hold gases very well. I believe this balloon / construction was not high quality.

Ugh! I can't stop myself from commenting on this...

From the article:
"It's a cultural thing and he leveraged that knowledge," Stevens said. "He believed that Asian women can be subservient and that's what he wanted. But it takes two to tango and she was with him for more than a decade. Every day that was the dynamic in play."

She/They/He sound a lot like a couple I know that I've mentioned on here before. He is a neanderthal man, never married, 45 when they met. She was originally from the Philippines and they became pen pals. Long story short, he hocked some of his guns and visited her there twice. The second time was for their wedding. It took another year for him to get her over here, but she sounds/acts soooooooo much like Mrs. Henne. They even look the same -- simple long hairstyle, modicum of makeup (just so you know, I'm preaching to the choir here -- I have a simple bob and wear very little makeup, but because I want to, not because my husband dictates it).

Anyway, watching how she interacts with her children and husband, they seem so similar to this woman I know, and her husband. I don't know about the Henne boys, but the little boy this couple has is being raised to be just like his dad (expecting subservience from women). As an example, we were visiting one day and this boy made a mess of his toys and when it came time to clean up, looked at me and said, "You can pick them up for me." I looked at him and said, "I don't think so."

Having said that...there could be abuse going on in the Henne family (as I suspect there is in the family I know). BUT....BUT....BUT....the woman I know KNEW what she was getting into (she married this guy so he could send money home to her family -- it happens quite often there)...so, while part of me feels for her, the other part of me says, "this is what you signed up for." She got $$$ for her family, he got a maid. Did this happen with the Henne's? He seems the type...so does she.

It seemed weird to me that he wouldn't immediately be able to tell that something was inside when it took off. If he wanted to make his video genuine he should have shouted something like; "What the :censored: is wrong with that thing?!"
