(Hi, can some of you guys please use the quote/reply feature, as there are some posts that I’m not not sure as to what comment is being responded to, thank you.)

I've made the joke to her myself... It's not an unreasonable observation. She was very detail oriented and particular and Chris seemed to just roll with her having it her way. Again that is not an excuse or validation in any way!

Interesting!

Another thought that may have to do with financial stress. If SW was paid without taxes taken out she would likely have a big tax bill come IRS day. I wonder if they owed the IRS too? Not saying this is the case, but possible IMO.

*i don’t believe this is questioning her job, just whether IRS came out or not”

Her accountant would be having her pay quarterly estimated taxes.

I like how you think and I agree. It would kill me too.

The tank thing blows my mind. I think I can speak for a lot of child loss families when I say that walking away from our child's grave after burial is one of the hardest things a parent can do. Many, MANY nights I laid awake, unable to sleep, and wanted to drive back to the cemetery and sleep in the grass on top of where he was interred. And after burial, I stayed until the very last clod of dirt was dropped onto his vase and every flower was arranged around the disturbed earth. They basically had to pry me away from there. And it's a beautiful place! A little country cemetery with panorama views of the mountains, wild flowers growing everywhere, horses grazing on the other side of the fence, etc. Very peaceful. I can in NO way imagine dumping my child like garbage and just walking away. I mean, we chose the burial spot because it was next to my grandmother and in front of my uncle because we didn't want him to be "alone". And CW doesn't even put the girls in the same tank?

There are literally serial killers who take more care with their victims' bodies.

Lots of things don't make sense to me in this case, but (IMO) there seems to be zero remorse on his part. Let's say, for the sake of argument, that his story is true. It still doesn't explain tossing your children's bodies into such a scary, lonely place (for a child, anyway) by themselves and then heading on to work like it's just another day. (For the record, you all know I don't believe his story. That's just another example of WHY I can't possibly believe it. None of it makes sense to me.)

Seems to confirm they were maybe alive when she returned home.
IMO, most obituaries are written by a family member. The date stated could be from the family,ME, funeral director...we are not sure. We still do not have MSM telling us the exact time of death...so we wait.

To date I have yet to hear his parent's speak out. Now I'm sure they are devastated by the events in the very least, that their son is being charged. That said, I am shocked to not have heard a peep from them. Yes, it would be awkward to contact Shannan's parents to give their condolences even if they believe their son to be innocent yet still they could have released a generic statement saying their family is devastated by the loss of their grandchildren and DIL, condolences to Shannan's family and then end it with we will not be giving any further statements in the future. At least it acknowledges that cared enough about all of them and they will be missed. To remain silent imo only makes the rumors going around that the mother didn't like Shannan and the peanut incident, refusal to go to the kid's birthday party seem baseless. They didn't and I have to say for me it makes me feel ever more confident that the rumors are true especially that she did not care for Shannan. Right now they come off as cold and distant and cold, distant, unsympathetic mother's sometimes raise very disturbed little boys that grow up and do bad things. This imho is actually how I think it is.
I'd like to know what the dad told him to do and say, iirc he wouldnt confess until he was able to talk privately with dad.

Imo, I think he would have told him to accuse her of killing the kids and that he killed her because he felt helpless and enraged at her.

Maybe we need two different forums on this case. I originally joined this website because I was in Bardstown, KY right after CR disappeared and I was hoping BH would be arrested and CR found.
I thought it would be a good place to discuss theories, ideas, etc about this case but I guess not. Tricia, is it possible to separate?

I think that is pretty cold hearted. You have NO idea what they are going through.

What case (CR and BH) are you talking about?

Oh, if you only knew me IRL. :-) We run a kitten rescue as a hobby and I've literally spent the evening wiping kitten bottoms (3 week old litter abandoned and now I'm mama) and sprinkling the floor with baking soda. #countrynightlife

A thought about the funeral home streaming the funeral...I saw elsewhere that people were complaining about this and thought it in poor taste. I get it, though. This is such a high profile case that I could totally see someone going in there, sneaking pictures, and then trying to sell them to the tabloids. If it's streamed, though, then such things would be practically worthless. There are also people like us who are kind of caught up in the tragedy and are legitimately interested in watching the victims be laid to rest. We might not know them, but we care.

TL:DR I think streaming the service is both practical and considerate and I like cats.

I don't think we're owed a statement from CW's parents to satisfy our own morbid curiosity.

To be honest I can't blame them one bit. With the level of hatred towards CW I would imagine some is bound to spill on to them. Also I do think they will be taking their cue from CW's lawyers.

One interesting thing about the obituary- Shan'ann Cathryn Watts, Belle Marie Watts, Celeste Cathryn Watts....and "Nico Lee"

Not "Nico Lee WATTS".

Just Nico Lee.

Different daddy maybe? I know the arrest affidavit said they discussed marital separation the morning she died, perhaps it wasn't *just* his affair that was part of the reason. Maybe they both had grown apart and gone their separate ways, and maybe that's why he wasn't excited about the pregnancy, etc. He wouldn't be the first man to lose it and commit violence over something like this, and it makes a bit more sense of why it all erupted that morning. Maybe there's more details we don't know about this pregnancy.

Lee is Christopher’s middle name. IMO, not including the last name was an oversight.

If they hated him so much why include his last name when referring to them!!!!

I can’t believe we are now speaking ill toward his family.

That obituary was heartbreaking yet very well written.

I wouldn't continue to obsess about CW wearing a wedding ring in one picture and not another. I routinely get in a hurry and forget to wear my wedding ring, it doesn't mean I am cheating on my husband or planning to kill him.

JMOO.

Are you a family member of his ?

All this date business reminds me of the discussions we had in Abby’s and Libby’s case re: same type of thing with the 2 different dates. Maybe somebody can summarize that clearly if they remember the explanation given?

I don't know about Abby and Libby's, but I remember this discussion in both Lucas' and Mollie's threads. I just pulled out Lucas' memorial folder and it says December 3, 2012 - February, 2018. They don't know the date he actually died. I think on Mollie's, they used the date she was found. (I haven't looked to be 100% sure.)

In any case, it does not mean they were alive on that date. That's absurd.
