I recall "coloring her hair" was often on SW posted agenda. And after seeing her promote the location and grand opening of her Mum's new salon, it made sense to me.....

If one can colour their hair themselves, why not: it is far cheaper, and doesn't necessarily mean that you are broke: just smart.

I’m not sure we can say she is a murder victim just yet. He admitted to killing her but not murdeing her.

What does this even mean?

I've taken a break for a day or so to see if things would calm a little and it seems like it's just getting worse, with more bandwagon activity. What on earth is going on? This has become little more than a CW defense thread now? He's now not even a murderer?!

I know there are rules and TOS for discussing his version but honestly, I feel horrible for the VI and for Shanann and her family. This is just beyond.

Are there any rules for protecting victims and families when this kind of thing happens?
I hear you. All I can say at this point is bring this to a mod.

Do we have SW's flight info? I'll do a search but thought someone might have it handy.

TIA
Oh, bah humbug. I'm coming up empty on flight information. I can find upcoming flight info, but not historical info without paying a high fee for it.

Anyone know how to find the info? She was flying from Scottsdale, so I'm assuming she departed from Phoenix PHX on Sunday night, Aug 12.

Knowing when the flight was supposed to depart and when it actually did depart could help us pinpoint a possible time she communicated with him. That might give us an indication, perhaps, of his activity.

She probably also texted him (if not called him) when the flight landed. As a pregnant wife, I would expect she would be in touch with him after a delayed flight landed. By that time, of course, he knew she was late because she wasn't home.

hmmm....

One thing that stands out from his media interviews is that he was sticking to a basic script. I say this because he repeated similar phrases over and over. I think his basic script was "we argued about separating and I left for work, and they were gone when I got home and I have no idea where they are."

I think he was trying his very hardest to stick to this script, but in his mind, he knew his plans had been derailed due to Nicole calling the police. But with the media he still stuck with it.

He imagined he would kill them, make their bodies disappear, and then use his script listed above.

I feel there is a clear connection between the crime (wife/children dead in oil tanks/field) and his story to the media.

I think that if Nicole had not called the police, that is the story he would have been telling people when someone finally realized she wasn't answering her phone/texts/social media.
Thank GOD for best friends.

So... killing ≠ murdering? Dude.

Apparently. It is comments like this that make me unable to take this other view seriously. They're just having a laugh.

Reports say ********** is her name. Worked at the oil place. Her name is on witness list.

Wait until we can sleuth her. And, you had the wrong last name by a couple letters anyway.

No, that is not what I said. First, you posed several questions, and I did not give you a blanket response. I understand you've only been posting since Tuesday, and extended you courtesy but there's much information available here already to corroborate my posts.
No, I was originally replying to that long post you made, then I pointed out that your account was not in the arresting document I believe you said your account was "cited" in the arresting document. Well I don't see it, but guess what, I'm not losing any sleep over it either. Then, you essentially told me to go look around. So let's just agree to disagree. I asked you where you got your account, it wasn't where you said it was, so let's just not communicate, I get along quite well with everyone here. And I grew up in Seattle so I like Seattle too!

I know. I just finished “Man’s Search For Meaning” (Viktoe E. Frankle) . The prisoners of course expected poor treatment by the Nazis, but found that some of their hardest betrayals came from their fellow prisoners.

And I’m reminded of how the Nazis carried out their crimes against humanity with great psychological prowess: The Big Lie. Hitler On The Big Lie

“that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility”

Examples of CW credible statements: “I strangled SW. I dumped the bodies. I saw NUA and blew through traffic lights”

MOO, everything else from him: lies.
And I trust LE and forensics to expose his big lies.

I also read Man's Search For Meaning" as well. Very good book. The big lie was how they managed to control everyone including the youth. Repeat something enough times lies become truth. Very common in politics these days.

Your examples of CW half truths are spot on. Just enough truth to make it credible AND easier to remember when retelling the lie when being interrogated.

If CW planned this. Wouldn't he take into account the fact that NAU was dropping her off at their house when they landed? All the better for the delay maybe, as it was very late, but if originally she was scheduled to be home sooner, then it's entirely plausible NAU might pop in, for whatever reason.

Exactly. I can fry my own hair for about $30, or I can go to a salon and let them fry it for a couple hundred. This is a toughie.... lol

About Shanann's scar on her neck- I found this- Shanann mentioned on Instagram that she had an "anterior cervical discectomy fusion with Arthroplasty implant",https://www.instagram.com/p/BZAU-2vAg1t/... which means she had a cervical (neck) vertebrae fusion, which is a surgery done with the incision on the front of the neck, to fuse two vertebra together. Here is a description of the procedure- https://www.spine-health.com/.../artificial-disc-vs.... This ACDF procedure is the reason for the scar on her neck.

I had a very similar surgical procedure done last fall as well, although without the fusion (mine was called an ADR- Artificial Disc Replacement), because I have arthritis and degenerative disc disease. I was rear-ended while 39 weeks pregnant 16 years ago, which has caused extreme issues with my back. (thankfully- my daughter who was in utero at the time of the wreck is now a happy and healthy 16 year old and was not injured by the accident)

The process of the surgery involves an incision on the front of the neck as that is an easier/safer way to access the vertebrae without disturbing the spinal cord. The fusion is done by inserting rods between two levels of the vertebrae and introducing bone to fuse the bones together (with some kind of cushion inserted where the disc had been). It is a pretty easy surgery, all around, with most people having one night in the hospital and then going home with driving restrictions for a week or so. It can be a very expensive procedure, however, depending upon insurance policies. Mine was altogether about 15k, but that was not my out of pocket expense- we paid about 500 due to a great insurance policy and meeting our out-of-pocket limit for the year.

More info than you probably wanted to know, but it was something I knew a bit about having gone thru such a similar process last fall myself. I believe Shanann's ACDF was done in late August or early September 2017.

On Fb she was tagged in pics saying flight has been delayed at 6:23 they were already in a restaurant so I am guessing the flight was probably supposed to leave before then. 10:36 another tag says flight delayed don't know when we will be getting home so based on how far they live from DIA I think they landed about 1 am but prob should have been to denver at about 7.

Welcome to WS! Wow - what specialized info you're able to share right away.

Glad to hear your baby has fared well after the accident. :) No longer a baby!

This is so depressing, we have run off a VI. I really am upset this happened because she specifically said she was here to help process what has happened to Shanann and the girls with us. :(

I feel very, very badly for her. There are members who expressed their condolences to her, and I felt those condolences were very sincere. This is all very fresh to her and it is also very personal. I think a support forum, and not a sleuthing forum, would be more helpful to her as she tries to work through her shock, grief and loss. I hope she has found one.

In strangulation, there will be some type of bruising around the neck.
Source: my child had to be sent to the state ME for these to be ruled out. The coroner went over the info with us in detail.

SBM. Source:*(
Question - if someone attempts CPR on another person, would their DNA be transferred to the area around the mouth, where one would pinch the nostrils closed and/or the neck to open the airway?
Same with feeling for a pulse (artery on neck or wrist most common,y used).
*I realize that there may be “environmental factors (oil for days)” in this case, so that may or may not contribute.
TIA

Aha! Thank you for that!! Much easier than what I was doing. :)

I wonder if he fed the kids dinner. That was something he said in the interview - wanted to tell them to eat.

I need to think about this a bit.
