Thank you! I didn't even think about it when I did it! Removed the name. (In my defense, I am quite new....I was just happy I recognized something against TOS. :)

That literally made me laugh out loud. Thanks for that!

If that term was added to his confession as a result of speaking with his dad I am going to give the dad the benefit of the doubt. It could have been brought up innocently. He confesses to his dad and his dad says what?? What DO you say to try to understand what your son has just done. It's very possible his dad asked him were you in a rage after seeing her kill the kids. Not that dad was suggesting he use that rather just trying to get his mind around his son's state of mind as it happened. Probably would have sounded good to CW because he had no better excuse did he.

I don't know if CW is intelligent enuf to understand the significance of what "rage" can mean in a murder case. From what I've seen, and asked around about on this forum, we don't know how much if any he told LE before meeting with the Dad. We don't know how long he met with the Dad. So I'll just leave my JMO, IMO Dad helped formulate the story. But I am willing to be shown what CW had confessed to BEFORE he spoke him. That would clear it up...

But his story doesn't make any sense no matter where it came from Any normal human being would have pushed her away from the kids and called 911. He could have saved 4 lives.

TRIGGER WARNING. DO NOT READ PAST THIS IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE HEARING HOW THE BABIES MIGHT HAVE DIED.

--------------------------
There was nothing calm about his grotesque murder of those babies. It took a long time during which they were terrified and suffered. I hope no one who loves them reads this.

I apologize. “Calmer” was the wrong word choice. Although I’d like to think that he did it in their sleep relatively quickly. Sigh.

I agree. Is dad in law enforcement or the legal field...

I've seen some bizarre things in psych evals. I believe it is possible that the kids felt something off. Something deep in their subconsciousnesses (is that a word ya'll?) that had them play in this manner.

Yeah but your subconscious cannot act out what the brain has never yet seen. Unless they were allowed to watch R rated movies, crime scene shows, or the late night news with their parents....?

I have to wonder, since CW and his mistress were both married, if she was planning on leaving her dh to be with CW. I hadn't realized at first that she was married with children herself. She very well may have received child support whereas he might have had to pay some.

So well said. Thank you. This is all that really needs to be said, but then on top of it, we also have the poor babies being dumped in crude oil, the mistress, the total lack of tears, the chilling hammy TV interviews, and more. CW's story is ludicrous.

YES. 4 PEOPLE died in that house that night. 3 of them were innocent children, one unborn. And their mother, pregnant and not feeling well.

CW was the only one who survived out of 5. Clearly the largest, the strongest. And afterwards, he was emotionless and smiling. No grief. No rage. Just dump 'em all & move on. Yet somehow he's claiming to be the innocent one in this and there are people who believe it.

Disgusting and asinine.

It's uncanny, the similarities, isn't it? Not only is CW comparable to Scott Peterson, but Shanann reminds me of Laci.

Scott Peterson - Wikipedia
Laci's loved ones, including her mother and younger sister, related that she worked enthusiastically at being the perfect housewife, enjoying cooking and entertaining, and that she and her family welcomed the news in 2002 that she was pregnant.[3]

I also think LP and SW shared similarities. They both strike me as women who were meticulous in their appearance and they also kept beautiful homes. I've yet to read one thing bad about either of them from the people who knew them in real life. This tells me that they were very likely as beautiful on the inside as they were on the outside.

Of course, no one is perfect, but my thoughts both that LP and SW tried to be the best that they could be. JMO.

We don’t know they were playing corpses though, that’s a meaning we have ascribed to the photo afterwards, knowing what we know.
My kids would put a sheet over their dolls head copying how I put the blanket over their heads when they ask me to cover them with a blanket, it’s just a silly thing I do that makes three giggle before I put it over them properly. Or they might cover the doll with the sheet to “hide” her, then pull it up to make sure the face was covered, not realising they had uncovered the feet. Small children are not particularly good at hiding themselves or other things. Like I say, it’s something I could see my own kids doing, and the sinister overtones could actually just be coincidental.

Except the blanket was WAY past the body. There was a pillow where there was NOT a head. And then the blanket was gathered in such a way to appear that there was a head laying on the pillow. It was a 3’ doll that appeared to be in a minimum of a 4’ arrangement. The pillow appeared to be above the doll’s head to make it appear longer.

I had a family member kill their spouse and them self and we went to the funeral we were in the obituary of the murdered spouse. CW's family wasn't in the obituary I think that speaks volumes. Never once did we blame the murdered spouse for our family members behavior we were all so distraught. We wanted to take the other families pain away and we were grieving too for both of them.

SBM

Not necessarily (imo) If CW never let his 'mask' slip she would have no real reason to take it as a dangerous message from CW. I can see it making her feel uncomfortable, though. Kind of a nagging in the back of her mind. The book, THE GIFT OF FEAR, enters my thoughts.

I agree that CW COULD'VE staged the doll on the couch. Esp after reading posts where Shanann said,"the girls have each other's back." ( IIRC)
If they didn't do it and didn't know WHO did it - then of course it would seem like they were covering for each other. They might have been telling the truth.

Sorry If this has already been touched on. I'm way behind - had to not read this thread for awhile.

That’s true. I didn’t understand the whole “they have each other’s backs” statement. But if Dad said “Oh the girls were playing!” And the girls were like, “Not me, mommy!” Then yeah. Dad did it. But what a creepy, sick thing to do! Like what the heck!!!! Was foreshadowing necessary? Because geez....

Yrs ago I read a true crime book and the ME said it took a victim 15 minutes to die from strangulation. That stayed in my mind.
If the ME was correct it is a cruel way to die. IMO

Wouldn't CW and his dad be sitting in a room at the police station where everything is being recorded? So if dad was talking to him about what happened, police would have known?

I don't think they let people have total privacy while sitting in the police station unless the person has request an attorney present.

Maybe someone can correct me?

Oh wow really? I did not realize that. Not that I thought it was a gentle way, but I didn’t realize it took that long. Yuck.

HLN talking now about the Apple Watch SW wore and how there could be evidence gained from it...such as her activity level. Didn’t even think about that!

If I recall correctly, apple does not give out information to release even to the federal government on cases.

Who knows who has the password and privileges to get into her account, but if no one did legally, Apple is very resistant on giving information out in my opinion. Perhaps others have examples of other cases they have?

There are some people that just sing the praises of their spouses. Excessively. Like never saying, hey your wrong. My son is about to marry someone that does that. Her mother does the same. I mean, they act like he walks on water. I, of course, look like the mean one because I keep saying, are you sure your talking about my son? I think my son is great but I can see his flaws.
Extending the thoughts/questions in my last post. CW has, according to LE, been having an affair.

What I heard from Shanann's friends in the video where NT and AT are on the park bench talking to the reporter, was AT saying that maybe Shanann had thought she might be seeing signs of an affair but was talking herself out of believing it?

Sometimes, a gaslighter will make their partner feel crazy, and even guilty, for suspecting signs of an affair?

What if that was happening to Shanann, and some of that guilt-tripping might well make someone in that position end up coming across as excessively gushing in praise for their spouse as an apology for being suspicious and not trusting their partner, who's convinced them that this is a false accusation?

I haven't seen any report as to 1) how long the meeting was or 2) if it was recorded.

Yes that is why it stayed in my mind. It could have been a guess on his part but still....pretty awful if correct.

I have to be careful how I word this: but I am not sure that we know this, and IMO it depends who you are referring to. Don’t assume the co-worker is the only AP.
