I have to be careful how I word this: but I am not sure that we know this, and IMO it depends who you are referring to. Don’t assume the co-worker is the only AP.
Would not be surprised if he was active on dating sites...

It can track heart rate also! If her heart rate only increased once and then stopped well that’s pretty damn good evidence to refute his claims not to mention show time of death! If she was upset from an “emotional conversation” and took it out on the kids (which I in NO way believe) I would think her heart rate would have been increased then as well.

We had another case here where everyone thought the victim was wearing a Fitbit and that information could be determined. I never saw that they garnered that information.

Wouldn't CW and his dad be sitting in a room at the police station where everything is being recorded? So if dad was talking to him about what happened, police would have known?

I don't think they let people have total privacy while sitting in the police station unless the person has request an attorney present.

Maybe someone can correct me?
Maybe they were recorded.
Maybe his dad requested a separate room where attys. are allowed to speak to their clients in private. What state does his dad live in? I'm wondering if he is an atty. in another state or works in the legal field.

I believe they talked when Chris picked his dad up from the airport.
And in a room at the police station after that?

And maybe sites known for things other than “dating”????

There are some people that just sing the praises of their spouses. Excessively. Like never saying, hey your wrong. My son is about to marry someone that does that. Her mother does the same. I mean, they act like he walks on water. I, of course, look like the mean one because I keep saying, are you sure your talking about my son? I think my son is great but I can see his flaws.
My ex's mother insists that her son is perfect. She'll say, "I know 'nobody is perfect,' but, really, I do think my son is perfect!"

She hates me so bad lol.

I would think the question is not IF she was murdered but rather does his version of the story mitigate it. I have to believe that is what he’s attempting to do. IMO.
Yes - it mitigates the mens rea, or intent aspect of the crime, which can downgrade the charges, and hence, the sentence.

(Sierrah Jaughin case)

Here's another:

Cops use murdered woman's Fitbit to charge her husband
  • Connie's Fitbit registered movement at 9:23 a.m., the same time the garage door opened into the kitchen.
  • Connie Dabate was active on Facebook between 9:40 and 9:46 a.m., posting videos to her page with her iPhone. She was utilizing the IP address at their house.
  • While she was at home, her Fitbit recorded a distance of 1,217 feet between 9:18 a.m. and 10:05 a.m. when movement stops.
If Richard Dabate's claims were correct, detectives say the total distance it would take the victim to walk from her vehicle to the basement, where she died, would be no more than 125 feet.

Not necessarily, if he was having the affair with a coworker. Probably wouldn’t need a dating site if that’s the case.

It doesn't but they do it. Each parent also has to pay half the childcare regardless of income. The child support is based on income but the daycare is split. I am not a lawyer but my partner is. I ask him questions all the time. Plus I said in another message I don't know anyone who doesn't do 50/50 in Colorado and that's friends family and coworkers.

As someone who was divorced a million years ago before laws changed forcing uncustodial parent to pay child support I am curious about this topic. When you say 50/50 does this simply mean both parents share equally in all the child's expenses or does it mean the child must spend 50% of the week with one parent and then the other as in shared mutual custody.

Wikipedia
Strangling
The reported time from application to unconsciousness varies from 7–14 seconds if effectively applied [9] to one minute in other cases, with death occurring minutes after unconsciousness.

I'm glad the unconsciousness happens rather quickly but the actual death takes minutes. How could he to his own children!

Don’t assume a candlelit dinner & a walk in the park was what he was looking for online. ;)

Just casting out a line here, but is there any evidence of CW being a narcissist? Wanting attention, etc. Because looking at how poorly his plan was, going on national T.V. and begging for their return, burying SW's body where it could be seen, it makes me think he possibly planned all this for attention and fame.
With a sheet lying close by to boot. You may be into something here.

That's what I think too.

I'm still trying to understand that. I thought that Shanann posted on either Facebook or Instagram that CW encouraged her to try for another pregnancy?

I still think it was premeditated. He was playing the perfect husband by pretending to want to expand the family. Perfect husband, perfect daddy. Perfect mask. (Imo)

She was only 15 weeks pregnant. Could CW have turned so quickly into actually murdering the whole family in that short amount of time?

Well, I guess, like many if you say, we may never really know what 'dark' thoughts could be hidden inside that mind. Only that which he chooses to share them (honestly, at least - but then there is the conundrum - we wouldn't know if he's being truthful)

You know I really think the big issue there was they just wanted to go home. Seven weeks sequestered like prisoners. A finding of guilt would have led to a sentencing phase and who knows how many more weeks. So they didn't find her guilty of anything that would require a sentencing phase. Not even child neglect.

I remember one juror talking about how she just stood in the window resentfully looking down at the hotel pool they could not use. (Maybe because it would bring them into contact with other people).

They were treated like they were being punished. The only relief from the absolute monotony they had was half days on Saturdays when their families could come and spend time with them at a secure location.

Wth? 7 weeks of that.

Since that case judges are far less likely to sequester juries and when they do it is not with as onerous circumstances. For example, they can go home on the weekends.

And we have to also remember that in the thousands of cases we have watched on here since the OJ trial, how many murderers have been found not guilty when it seems clear they were?

Out of thousands of cases, we keep repeating two.

Nevertheless, I am worried for this case. I'm worried that the path to justice may be super horrific -as in maybe a hung jury at first. Maybe two.

And frankly, after thinking and talking with my family about the case, I think there are two big reasons for that possibility.

1. The more attractive a person is the harder it is to find them guilty. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.st...a2f47009-d1af-5ddc-9231-f9a33c21e1a3.amp.html

As much as many of us here find the man repellent, he is conventionally attractive and has a look that many straight women would like.

Coupled with videos and photos showing the gleaming facade he maintained of a loving father, a facade so good people have been shocked at what happened, and who he turned out to be, that may make certain jurors more inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt as to the more serious charges.

2. There is a ton of hateful criticism of SW. I have seen it in MSM articles posts. I have seen hints of it here.

She was involved in a type of business that many abhor.

She was an attractive woman who seemed to have it all and even in death there are those who feel less than her and jealous.

She was a type- A, overachiever which again, bothers people who feel insecure. They may have an inherent dislike for her.

She posted incessantly positive and cheerful social media posts about her kids, her husband and her life. There have been studies as to how social media causes depression as people tend to post only the good stuff and others feel inadequate in the face of that and don't measure up. As a result, there has emerged a deep resentment of people who portray a "perfect" life on social media by people who know their's aren't. They feel anger toward those for making them feel bad about their lives and circumstances.

I have seen a lot of that in comments when it comes to SW. "She needed to work on her marriage and get off social media!"

"She spent too much time making sure everyone saw how great her life was instead of caring for her family!"

That kind of stuff.

In fact, one of her very own friends was commenting to the media that he "had to block her" because he was "jealous" of her life! What? You block someone for doing something wrong. Not for portraying a life that you covet. Just get off social media and put things in perspective - few post the struggles they deal with. They don't want to make anyone feel down.

In any event there seems to be simmering anger out there against people who portray a wonderful life.

I worry that the defense could capitalize on those two things in this case. All we need is one person on the jury with feelings of inadequacy and the inability to use basic logic.

This is not a complex case. But I fear that we are in for a horror show. And I don't think Shanann's poor family are going to be able to withstand it.
I'm not sure about a hung jury but I believe it will be horrific for SW's family. I believe they will drag her through the mud and blame her for his choices and behaviors. I hope it makes the jury angry enough to convict him, if the evidence is there. I tend to believe the DA believes there is enough evidence that he can prove that CW is guilty or he wouldn't have been charged, with the girl's deaths. We will see.

I'm confused about what could be an important point. So, can someone clarify what is known about the "shrouded doll" photo posted on SW's FB page on August 9th? More specifically, is it known whether SW both took and posted the photo, or just posted the photo?

  • #1,358
Chelly, with respect---CW didn't confess to a murder. Go back and look at the affidavit. (I'm not in the fan club, just making the point.)
OK I'm confused. I thought he did admit to murdering SW.

Yes she posted that on FB. It's possible at that time he still wanted to be with her and the kids, or at least try. Remember in his speech he says that having a kid can save a bad relationship(LOL) and maybe he started having an affair shortly after.

Its crazy though like you said, can that really manifest in 15 weeks? Go from trying to save a relationship to murdering your precious children and wife in cold blood?

It's also possible SW was just saying that on SM and it wasn't necessarily true. He didn't look thrilled in that pregnancy video.

I believe they talked when Chris picked his dad up from the airport.

“A law enforcement source told The Daily Beast that the suspect picked up his father from the airport Wednesday morning and family members convinced him to turn himself in.”

Husband Arrested for Killing Pregnant Wife and Daughters After Telling TV Their Disappearance Was ‘Tearing Me Apart’
copied from the arresting document. He asked to speak with his father, who was present at the pd. Chris said he would tell the truth after speaking with his Dad.
