Oh my, just this weekend I was joking with a family member if something ever happened to me they could use my fingerprint to open my phone without a password. Oh my gosh the thought of that in reality. That he did such.

Right? A lot of posters think he's on the dim side. What if he isn't dumb in the knowledge of forensics?

Some people make awesome auto mechanics , but might not be intelligent in other areas. They can tear down an engine and put every nut & bolt where it belongs.

My son is extremely intelligent, but doesn't know a thing about cars.

Actually I do think that was his plan. I am not so sure he even knew about the neighbor's camera angle but even if he did it is still possible he believed he could fool everyone. Since I believe he had no intention of reporting her missing that day rather waiting to the next day, he still could have driven the car off in the middle of the night (worn a hoodie so not to see his face) and abandoned the car somewhere. If she showed up on camera that was his "proof" that she left on her own. He could have planned to hide it in plain sight so it would be found with them being "missing" from it or hide it someplace he had already scouted out where it would be less likely to be found. There's many things he could have done to make it appear to be something different then it was. I also do not put it beneath him to believe his plan right along was to make it appear she had been the guilty party as he clearly did in the end anyway. Nicole's visit totally screwed up whatever plan he had in place so we will more then likely never know how he intended to get away with it. Caught off guard and having to fast forward and alter his plan put him off his game. I do think he had intended to say they had an "emotional conversation" but not THAT night, he was going to say it happened the day after when he cleaned up after himself and finished staging things. He is not a bright bulb but I don't think he is stupid either.

Yes that makes sense. I just think he should have known that one of her group would be suspicious real quick if they didn’t hear from her at all that day. The more I read about her and watch her videos it does seem like she was in constant contact with her team. I have a lot of friends and family that would miss me if I didn’t respond to calls or texts quickly but not as quickly as her friend did. I guess he did have her phone at the house so he could have planned to respond for her...

But surely you would wake up straight away and use your hands to fight him off? Also he said he killed her in the kids room.
That may be one of those half truths. He very well may have killed her there. That saddens me because if he isn't lying and he did in fact move them all together, she would have known her children had been murdered. I hope she was spared that in the very least :(

Would she still not fight though? Fight or flight?
If she'd been conditioned. Victims of domestic abuse often don't fight back or defend themselves because they know what happens when they do.

I honestly don't feel he thought they were a threat to his plan. If they called he could have given them the we had an emotional conversation and are getting separated BS and held them off for a day or so. He had NO idea someone would show up at the house and call the police BEFORE he even finished staging the scene. I bet he is cursing NUA every day he is in jail and probaby blames her for screwing things up for him.

Who knows, maybe she was asleep when he strangled her. That would negate any type of resistance or scratching from Shanann.

We are really just speculating, because we just don't have enough information about the timeline, how things happened. Did he kill the girls first? Or later? We just don't know.

It is possible. I'm just not there with the domestic abuse.

I'm just trying to think of reasons why she might not have fought back or why he didn't have any marks on him (that we could see) during the interview. It's a possibility. Domestic abuse victims are 10 times more likely to be killed if suspects choked them in past.

Maybe i’m the odd man out- but i could see a scratch on his neck in the interviews. One angle it was very clear. But i would think you would have more than just a single scratch if you were fighting for your life.

I think if you were being strangled you might be trying to get his hands off your neck instead of scratching him....so you could breathe. You wouldn't have much energy to fight if you can't breathe.

Travis Alexander..took days for his group to find his body although he was in daily contact through a multi-level marketing organization. Perhaps he was thinking of that. And he perhaps thought 72 hours or 24 hours for a missing person report to be considered

Yep. Freeze as to not call any more attention to yourself or "set him off"any more.

Agree but even then, SW's nails would have still caught him somewhere. Will be interesting to see the police pics.

True but after a few seconds or so of trying that and it not working- would you try to scratch at them in other places to make them stop? I mean none of us know what we would do in a situation like that until you are in it. God forbid any of us ever find that out.

Bill Carson: From post #1 on this thread:

Sad news ...

husband of the missing Frederick family has confessed to killing them and officials believe they know where the bodies are.

Husband of missing Frederick mom of 2 detained Sources: Husband of pregnant Frederick woman detained, has confessed to killing her and 2 daughters

Chelly,

It is possible that CW made a separate confession that we are not privy to, but the version of a "confession" that is set out in the Affidavit is not really a confession at all. I think those LE sources were jumping the gun or they were drawing unnecessary conclusions. I mean, we know for certain that the confession listed in the affidavit does not match the charges against him.

If you open a phone with a fingerprint, you think can change the passwords? And then you could open it later? Forensics and the phone will be interesting.
