The tattoo on Chris' back is the logo of the band Metallica with added embellishment.

Good sleuthing. I knew it was a rock band but wasn't sure which one. ( The other bands he's also into were on his twitter account . That's now closed I believe, last week)

No. Its not extra info. He stated it in his interviews:

Chris Watts: I called her three times, texted about three times, just to say, you know, what’s going on, like, I did… I after… after I called her and texted her once, like, right maybe she was just busy, like, she’d just got back, you know, like, everybody probably calling her from her trip, she just got back from Arizona and… I figured that she is just busy but when her friend showed up that (inaudible) I registered, like, right, this isn’t right.

Chris Watts: Yes… uh… I’d text her a few times, called her but I didn’t get a response, that was a little odd and then her friend Nicole showed up about that afternoon, I see her on the doorbell camera and I was like: Hey, what’s going on? I can’t get ahold of Shannan and that’s when I was, just like, something’s not right. She’s not answering the door and she said the car was here, it’s like I gotta go home and got here, got inside and no… nobody was here, not… nothing.

Chris Watts: She was here at the front door and… that’s when I knew: Okay, like, if she’s not answering anybody else either, this’s… this isn’t like her. I mean, she works at direct sales business and that’s her, that’s what she does and for her not to respond to any of her people that, I mean, she hasn’t answered to me, that’s fine, I’m like she is busy, she has staff going on, but not to respond to her people, that was… that was not like her.

I've never watched these interviews in their entirety until just now just because he made me so mad, I'd have to turn it off. But after watching both, am I missing something or did he NEVER say "I love them"? Heck I don't even think I heard him say "I miss them"

I haven't been on in a few days. Has anyone talked about the possibility that LE is extracting data from Alexa (if they had one)? Also, the doorbell camera, does it record data or is it just streaming? Does it have an audio feature? I'm just curious to see what was heard/recorded on those devices that night and when Shanann got home from her work trip.

I have a Ring doorbell so I can answer that question. Mine saves recordings. I pay a monthly fee for that option but it's only like $3 a month, I pay it yearly. It's possible they didn't have a plan but I think Ring may still be able to find that info.

I'm still not sure why you believe Shanann wasn't in a good place.

IMO It ties in with that poster's theory of last night where SW killed the children because CW said he was taking them away, (that was as he was sleepwalking and somehow hanging himself was a goal, too). Then he threw them in crude oil after threatening to take them from SW, he cherished them so much. And that Nickole, the friend, wanted into the house because she was afraid that SW might have harmed someone. Maybe the poster could tie up the loose ends, that's pretty much what they presented last night in a nutshell.

One day, or incident, of crying doesn’t mean someone is depressed. Could be something as simple as allergies also. When mine flare up my eyes swell and water and there certainly isn’t anything sinister.

Maybe before that she was laughing so hard she was crying...also a daily occurance for me.

You’re reeeeaaaallllyyyy stretching being able to tell her mental state from that video. With as much as she tried to show a perfect life on SM for her job I highly doubt she went live or posted a video while puffy from crying. IMO.

I would quite say that's its a stretch to tell someones state from a video as that's what many are doing with the CW interview video, including drs hired by media.

So in Cw's court appearance, he waived having a preliminary hearing and I believe the reason his lawyer gave is that they need to see the evidence. To me, this means he doesn't want to plea until he knows how much they have on him. I believe this is also to leave open the possibility of a plea deal (I hope they are dreaming on this option). I think he might plea guilty to the termination of pregnancy and body disposal but not guilty to the murder charges since he will say SW's murder was not first degree. Or is it all or nothing, i.e., can he plea guilty to some charges and not others? I work in the legal field but don't know anything about criminal law so sorry if this is a stupid question.

Am I right that COD of SW and her daughters has not been made public yet? And that we’re assuming strangulation based on CW’s statement alone? Not sure why we should believe this over anything else he’s said (except the detailed way in which he describes the girls’ death could be a real description how they died, with him replacing Shannan).

But in the affidavit, it states that Shannan died as a result of her pregnancy being terminated. Unless the autopsy has already been completed, there would need to be visible evidence indicating that’s what happened (I don’t want to speculate what that would be but can imagine). Either way, it suggests that CW didn’t strangle SW as that’s not listed as her COD.

I looked at the Wiki page you linked to of homicidal sleepwalking. Two cases struck me as more likely to be true, and one included the husband waking up and calling LE there and then, in an apparently confused state saying he thought he'd killed his wife, and he was absolutely horrified.

The other was a strange one of a man who drove 20 miles in his sleep and committed murders, and after he woke up he drove himself to a police station and turned himself in.

So it seems far more likely that in a true sleep-homicide that the person awakes to find a truly horrifying situation and their first thought is to call the cops ... they're too horror-struck to even consider that they ought to hide the body of their loved one.

Oh...the ones where he was all smiley for the cameras, showing off his new shirt, showing zero concern nor any signs of being distraught AFTER murdering his family (IMO due to the facts and evidence we have seen so far), and driving them 40 miles from home to DUMP them in dark, black, disgusting oil and throwing SW in a shallow grave?? Those videos?!

If he just did away with her, he'd be "stuck" with the kids -- fixing their food, cleaning their clothes, tend to them when they were sick, dressing them, hauling them around, entertaining them, reading to them, can't leave the house without them, cleaning the house, groceries, washing his own clothes, etc., etc., etc. Girlfriend may not want to help. Bummer. Nope, that won't do at all. Because it is all about ME. I want a do-over.
