I’ve wondered that myself. I can’t imagine her not putting up a fight... I think we will see blunt force trauma to the head (to knock her out) then strangulation. I really want to know where his necklace and lupus bracelet are. It will be interesting to see if theyre in the home and he just chose not to wear them for his interviews or if he threw them away...

Has SW's cause of death been released? Or are we assuming strangulation because that's what CW said?

I think he could've done it without her fighting back, especially if he waited for her to fall asleep or if he restrained her. I don't think it happened in the middle of a confrontation - I think he had the upper hand without her knowing what was going to happen. Just my opinion.

Didn't CW pick up his father at the airport? Couldn't they have talked about it then?

I'm not sure what to make of this conversation with his Dad. If CW picked him up wouldn't they have a conversation about his missing wife & children?

I think they had 2 seperate conversations. News reports said that CW picked his father up from the airport Wednesday morning, and his father convinced him to talk to the police and tell the truth. The affidavit says CW requested to speak with his father before confessing.

So it makes sense that his father was at the police station with him, since they went straight from the airport.

His story was blown anyway, I think his dad probably could tell. When he left to get his dad the Thayers called detectives to talk about how he was acting strangely and not doing anything to help or showing any emotion. And before he confessed they spotted the bed sheet at the remote worksite with the drone.

Let's just say that if you are sleeping on your side of your stomach and a man sits on top of you very quickly and Sits on your arms and back, you pretty much cannot struggle against him. At least in my experience. And no, it wasn't a violent struggle, it was something amorous. Just speaking from experience, a woman can easily be overcome by a man if she is asleep.

And even more telling is if they were deleted. Had he spent some time that night deleting evidence from her phone. He was charged with altering/destroying evidence. We assumed it meant moving the bodies or perhaps partial clean up within the crime scene. Might it also include the phone? Would they need a seperate charge for that or would it be included in the 3 charges already filed.

On that assumption then. Killing the girls before she got home wouldn't work. As I'm pretty sure IMO that she would have gone into the girls rooms to see them, even if CW told her not to disturb them.

I agree he needs to be watched like a hawk especially once he has been sentenced.

I still don’t understand what his actual plan was. With his own home camera and his neighbors (that he may not have known about) even if he had more time, how was he going to explain how she left? Was he going to drive her car off and leave it somewhere? Maybe this has been discussed before and I missed it, but it just doesn’t seem like he had any kind of plan. I know he didn’t have time to clean up and get rid of her phone and other evidence, but even if her friend hadn’t come over that day, how much time did he think he had??? She is too well connected and has too many friends that she is in constant contact with. I guess he couldn’t risk not showing up at work, but it seems like he would have checked in to work then head back home to clean up. I suppose the flight delay really messed up whatever plan he had... too many people have cameras. I just dont understand how he was going to get her car moved without someone seeing something.

Actually I do think that was his plan. I am not so sure he even knew about the neighbor's camera angle but even if he did it is still possible he believed he could fool everyone. Since I believe he had no intention of reporting her missing that day rather waiting to the next day, he still could have driven the car off in the middle of the night (worn a hoodie so not to see his face) and abandoned the car somewhere. If she showed up on camera that was his "proof" that she left on her own. He could have planned to hide it in plain sight so it would be found with them being "missing" from it or hide it someplace he had already scouted out where it would be less likely to be found. There's many things he could have done to make it appear to be something different then it was. I also do not put it beneath him to believe his plan right along was to make it appear she had been the guilty party as he clearly did in the end anyway. Nicole's visit totally screwed up whatever plan he had in place so we will more then likely never know how he intended to get away with it. Caught off guard and having to fast forward and alter his plan put him off his game. I do think he had intended to say they had an "emotional conversation" but not THAT night, he was going to say it happened the day after when he cleaned up after himself and finished staging things. He is not a bright bulb but I don't think he is stupid either.

He did have from 2-5:15am and didn’t clean up, So maybe he did wait for her to go to sleep?? I don’t think we know for sure it was strangulation. If it happened like he claimed it did, you would think he would have hit her in the head not strangled her.... wonder when we will hear about the autopsy report. Is it just me, or have they done a good job keeping us in the dark? I know that is what they are supposed to do, but it seems like more details get leaked than what we have heard so far..

Oh my, just this weekend I was joking with a family member if something ever happened to me they could use my fingerprint to open my phone without a password. Oh my gosh the thought of that in reality. That he did such.

He's in protective custody because of the publicity. I agree though, they need to watch him like a hawk. Especially once it gets near trial and he can see that nobody is buying his ridiculous story and he's getting life.

Youd be surprised at what they get/get away with in jail. My husband is a deputy and depending on crime or what housing unit youre in these criminals get their own ipads. Completely ridiculous. If youre a non violent offender you can get "jobs" in the jail, can actually be out of your cell for long periods of time. Most actually prefer to stay in county jail and not be transferred to a state prison.

This isn't the case every where. The County jail is way worse, in most states.

We know he admitted to strangling SW. What I can't figure out is why did he not have scratch marks all over him? She had very long nails.

Maybe it wasn't the first time he'd done it.

I don't know...if my son killed his wife and 3 yr old baby girl, God Forbid, .....I am not sure I could sit behind him in court.

I can't say 100% but I can say I'm 99% certain I would not be in court if it was my son who did this. Not only would I be so out of mind with grief if he did it, but I could never sit there and listen to what happened to my grandchildren and DIL at the hands of my son. Not saying I would not love him anymore because he would still be my son but I could not support him in THAT way by being in the court room. You do the crime, you do the time my mantra with all my kids. Justice needs to be served and I would be there after the fact to help him cope with the consequences that he brought on himself.
