I think that’s a great way to approach this case specifically, and reported news in general. Even though the network or organization may be reputable, their sources may not.This has happened with the Post, they were sold to some kind of hedge company and have had massive layoffs. I subscribe to support the survivors. The cable channels, Internet etc. have really hurt them. I guess I should have added that I find the big cable news networks to be sloppy as well. In the case that is the subject of this thread, I am relying on the information released via Colorado Judicial Branch , and taking absolutely everything else with a big spoonful of salt. imo
Unless it comes from the mouth of law enforcement, or court records, “taking everything with a grain of salt” is the way to go.
