That would be a good question to have a good answer to; unfortunately, it's hard to know without having research results on that specific product. Caffeine may increase pregnancy risks, but not at a much higher rate than expected and not consistently in studies. As with any ingestion in pregnancy, best to avoid anything not known to be safe and medically indicated.

What would you advise a Lupus patient in her first trimester to do? Abstain from wearing the patch altogether? Thank you.

I didn't confuse the two.
Sorry I thought your original reply was about choking?

"Although sometimes the words are used interchangeably, "strangulation" and "choking" are not the same thing. Choking is when air flow is blocked by food or a foreign object in the trachea. Strangulation, by contrast, is defined by reduced air flow and/or blood flow to or from the brain via the intentional external compression of blood vessels or the airway in the neck"

Still, if their income really was $140,000/yr. combined, that sounds like it ought to be doable to me. (This is not a legal opinion.) I guess it depends on the type of debt and the nature of the demands by creditors. As Dave Ramsey says, you eat 'beans and rice' and 'rice and beans' until you get it paid down.

Maybe @MerryB can interpret the bankruptcy tea leaves for us.
Is this gross or net, sorry if I missed which one?

If it's gross, I checked a 2018 federal tax calculator for California, obviously different state (there's a link for all states & it's the same), year and it's a combined income which puts it into a higher tax bracket and this is without children or special circumstances applied, but still approximately in the same ball park?

The take home pay would be around $95,000.

I think she may have told him she already finalized her plans. She was moving the girls to NC and working from there. And he would pay child support and see them on some weekends. I think he was very angry about the financial burdens that would come with divorce/separation. He wanted a do-over.
I just don’t think she was done with him yet..I really think she loved him and would have fought to make their marriage work. I think she obviously knew they had issues but by getting pregnant again she showed she was willing to do anything to make it work. Maybe the NC trip was to scare him and make him come around...and it didnt work like she had planned..but I still think she would have continued to fight for her marriage.

Does anyone have a source for either of these?
  1. CW used a babysitter on Saturday night
  2. Birthday party on Sunday (was this a video interview?)
I have no clue on no. 1, but yes bday party Sunday was a video interview (don't ask me which one!)

I assume CW and SW were friends on facebook. If CW was dumb enough to be facebook friends with an AP, the AP could have gone through his friends list, seen SW's profile, figured out CW was married to SW and sent SW a message and ratted him out. One possible reason for CW to delete facebook. JMO.

CW mentions the girls "Rain Machine" in their rooms.
I wonder what brand they had? I googled it and the machine emits white noise and relaxation sounds so I am assuming they had it set to the sound of rain. I wonder if the rain machine was on their night stands beside the baby monitor? Did the rain machine emit light on the display? If so how much light?

I’m thinking maybe he didn’t hate his life...he just didn’t want to be bogged down—financially with a wife and 3 kids. If they were really “missing” and never found, he maybe could take over her ‘thriving” thrive business and all the fun trips..but eventually with a new girlfriend.I don’t think his work gf was as important to him as Amber Frey was to Scott Peterson. I think he just wanted someone new..anyone new, and no financial strain of 3 kids... maybe he wanted to be the Alpha in the next relationship..and also get sympathy for his wife and kids being missing.....OR none of this...he doesn’t seem to be much of a planner so maybe I am way off and it was a fit of rage???? I don’t think anyone was actually strangled....I think they were all smothered with a pillow. JMO
It seems there's a thread of truth in what he says so in my mind someone was strangled -- probably SW. I don't think the modus operandi matters too much here because (imo) he murdered them no matter what, unless her DNA is on the girls in such a way to prove she murdered them, and I'm willing to bet it isn't.

Or an AP could have sent him a friend request on FB and he panicked and deactivated it.

@DrWander Welcome to WS! I've known several friends with Lupus over the years that had children and none mentioned difficulty getting pregnant and had normal pregnancies and deliveries. Can you speak a little about the claims that have been made regarding SW's pregnancies? Thank you in advance! Just trying to better understand.
Your friends are describing the usual pregnancy outcome with lupus, glad to hear that! I can't comment on the claims, since I'm not familiar with them. Premature birth and fetal death are certainly very bad outcomes. Having lupus in pregnancy involves more doctor visits and monitoring, blood tests, ultrasounds, but most moms and babies are healthy. There are higher risks, but adverse events are not inevitable.

How did you all find out that CW deactivated his FB prior to the murders? I've never seen it mentioned anywhere but here.

Thank you for responding! I hadn't seen your earlier response to similar post, so apologies for being a bit redundant.

Yes! Why would you ever take anything not thought to be safe? Medical studies can never prove a substance to be safe, only to be not harmful. When a human being is developing, why would you take anything not thought necessary for normal development or medically necessary for treatment of a medical condition that itself poses danger?

I wish I could -- sounds like a pathologist would be helpful for that type of question. I'm best with female physiology and pregnancy.

TY. Let me try another question. What color is the skin of the face and the body of a baby who has the umbilical cord wrapped tightly around his/her neck?

I do not understand the significance of the arrangement. Someone said that he hasn't been? What does that all mean?

Thank you. I agree. I was curious that this was supposedly “approved” by her OB.

Or even if the AP and CW weren't fb friends his friends list may not have been private.

Every fb friend I have who breaks up with a partner or divorces ends up closing their fb accounts, some permanently, some temporarily. It makes sense that that would've been when she found out about at least one AP.

My youngest grand used a sound machine that included rain (Homemedics brand, which is pretty popular) and the light was just a green dot and wasn't enough to actually see anything with and basically just let you know the unit was on. For instance, it was nowhere near as bright as the lights on a cable modem/router.

It may have been - I know a lot of OB/GYNs who are ok with it, just not the weight loss Thrive products. My favorite phrase is, "provider preference..."

Or AP could have seen loving posts on CW’s FB where SW tagged CW, and then said to C.W., “Your wife isn’t abusive! She loves you! You’re not getting a divorce! You’re lying to me!”
