LE contacted people they found on CW's phone, which led them to the
online dating services. Mystery man was contacted by LE days before he called into AB's show. It stands to reason that he went in for a personal interview at
the police station w/ homicide detectives after his 2 calls to AB.

I’m very familiar with her. My issue is more with the tabloidy nature of the show, although I must admit, it is far better than Nancy Grace in terms of sticking to actual facts. Just because she herself is reliable, does not mean that her producers are, especially when it comes to vetting sources.
Yeah. It was shockingly sloppy.

LOL. Investigative reporters don't pay their sources. The National Enquirer broke the John Edwards scandal. People is a celebrity/entertainment magazine doctor's put in their waiting rooms.
You’re talking about two different publications. People employs award winning investigative reporters who are known for being very reliable. I’m not talking about the celebrity side of the publication, just the news one.

People is an entertainment mag. and AB is a cable pundit. They might be considered MSM but they are not Main Stream NEWS Media.
Yet the moderators determine who is and who is not MSM.

The John Edwards story was true.

I hadn't thought of that possibility but I do think there is something going on in his brain.
Chemicals --- natural or synthetic?

I doubt she could just up and move to NC without his permission and then decide he could only see his children on weekends. I think it is a lot more complicated than that. They were his children, too.

Right, legally you are correct. But many people say things like that when they find out their spouse is cheating on them. ' I'll take the kids to my parents and you will not see them anymore.' That's the kind of thing that is said in anger. Doesn't mean one can really do it legally.

But if she did happen to find out he had a boyfriend, and also a woman at his job---she may have decided to try and fight him in court and it is possible to convince a judge that a move to NC, at least temporarily, to be with her family is in the best interest of the children.

Especially if she could tell the judge he was meeting up with men and women on MeetME, and he took their 3 yr old on one of the hookups with a male he had met online. That could give her the permission needed from the family court judge to move the kids back home to family while she gave birth.

At the time, AB was clear, she’d seen the texts, they looked real, but that was as far as she could go for verification. He remained anonymous because he didn’t want the media at his front door. The next day she said he was interviewed by LE. We haven’t heard from him since. Maybe L E asked him to avoid the media, maybe he was lying, don’t know. On that same show, Steve Helling, crime writer from People Mag, said C.W. had many lovers, both male and female. Either you trust or you don’t trust, it’s up to you, but I don’t think you’ll get much from LE until the trial.
Its going to be an interesting trial.

OK, I believe we're allowed to link to People. If it's not approved, someone please let me know. This article confirms the information about him being on suicide watch, etcetera from sheriff's deparment: Chris Watts Is Under Suicide Watch in Jail: Sources

Do you happen to know AB's source for this information? Just curious. I'll check our local news too as I haven't heard this.
Planks? Not sure they let him bring his plank gloves.

CW is 33 years old. I'm guessing he knew his sexual identity long ago.
Not necessarily. I have a family member who didn't know she was gay until she was over 50 yrs old and met the right partner who helped her affirm her sexuality.

I don't have cable so I don't know if the mystery caller said it on Ashleigh's show,
but he said that Chris told him he had a few same sex experiences in high school.
This is VERY interesting. Thanks for posting!

Any threat of Shanann potentially taking the kids, was of course rendered moot, by their killings. I don’t think this guy was motivated by a fear of losing his family, I think that’s precisely what he was going for when he murdered them.

My dear friend at 43 was *finally* able to accept his attraction to men (we suspected he was attracted to women, too.). I knew him from age five on... sometimes it takes adults years to unpack that information.

Not justifying, just saying that things aren’t always as simple as they seem.

I think that men are more in tune with their sexuality though and when your relative was young, there were far more restrictions on female sexuality than male.
I know a female gay couple who had always had relationships with men and one of them told me, 'I am not sure if I am really gay or not, but I fell in love with the person, not her sexuality'.
They have been together for 23 years.

It does, especially when one is bisexual and feels conflicted because one is attracted to both sexes. Its enormously confusing for some and can lead to anger, guilt, shame and loneliness.

Agree. If the same sex AP is legit and is telling the truth, I think most people would feel a father put his child's life in danger by bringing along on a hookup date from someone he met on the Internet.

Thank you for that. You provided better information than I did. (And by the way, some of Colorado Springs goes up to 7,000 feet, maybe more, it really depends on where you live.)

My father suffered from chronic asthma and COPD and eventually died from it. As I recall, the altitude here in Colorado was not good for his breathing. I was guessing about the humidity, but I know for sure that my father was triggered by mold and mildew, so he had a very hard time living in lower, more humid areas. I'm sure each person with asthma reacts differently, but you are probably correct, that on the whole, humidity is better than dryness.

Thank you.

You're definitely right about different triggers for asthma for different people, and especially the mold/mildew. I had a bad attack after going into a crawl space at a rental property that had mold. My steamy bathrooms...I try to keep those free of mold. (-: My kids were born in Colorado Springs, and their asthma issues are very different. Cold weather for me, dogs for my daughter, paint for my son, etc. SW's girls may have had just as varied of triggers.

And now, I don't recall how the asthma topic started. Something about acclimation and gestation.

I had no idea about the correlation between suicide and high elevation, which would seem to fit right in with your notion of mental illness and high-elevation.

I think I may need to go look up info about the correlation of suicide and high-elevation now.

I'm so glad that its a little easier for people to be true to their sexuality these days (at least in this country).
