LE contacted people they found on CW's phone, which led them to the
online dating services. Mystery man was contacted by LE days before he called into AB's show. It stands to reason that he went in for a personal interview at
the police station w/ homicide detectives after his 2 calls to AB.
@The Saint - are these statements of fact? Please clarify .. My head is spinning!!

Chemicals --- natural or synthetic?

It could also be a brain injury, brain tumor, and other diseases such as early onset dementia, Huntington's Disease, and the like.

Any threat of Shanann potentially taking the kids, was of course rendered moot, by their killings. I don’t think this guy was motivated by a fear of losing his family, I think that’s precisely what he was going for when he murdered them.
Bingo! Personality disorders aside for the moment, this guy felt entitled to be free of any responsibilities he had so he could start whatever life it was he was envisioning. We don't know if that would have been the ongoing affair with the AP from Anadarko, life as a gay man, or simply being free to be promiscuous. Divorce wasn't an option because he was still going to have parental responsibilities and have to share any profit made from the sale of the house, etcetera.

You’re talking about two different publications. People employs award winning investigative reporters who are known for being very reliable. I’m not talking about the celebrity side of the publication, just the news one.
Giving a Shout out for "People Crime" -- the best reporting on CAnthony trial that also garnered them many awards.

Early dementia can cause violence in the sufferer, like Alzheimer's. My FIL became extremely physically violent with early dementia and was put on an anti-depressant (Celexa I think). He had never been violent towards my mother-in-law until diagnosis. The medication calmed him and he became docile again. Brain diseases and lesions like CTE found in Aaron Hernandez's brain may lead to homicidal violence. It would be interesting if the brains of people who murdered their wives (or husbands) and children were examined using CT scans or other technology.

Or he could be just a selfish man who murdered his wife and children so he could be free of them to pursue the life he wanted. Like many before him have done.

Perhaps CW is Bipolar or suffers from depression due to a chemical imbalance?
Still not things that cause you to murder your wife and children and throw your children away like rubbish.

That too. I don't know if there are CT scans performed on the brains of murderers/serial killers/ serial rapists but I think it would be of great benefit if this was employed by LE and science. It could give us better insight into the perps of these horrific crimes.

I agree. Scott Peterson, William Bradford Bishop, Robert Fisher, I’ll throw John List in there too. Those are just some famous cases, but there are many more.

SweetPeas, is childhood-onset asthma something we would have expected the Watts girls to grow out of, or is it a lifelong disease?

Again, not a doc, but in our case... ...Looks like it's for life.

My daughter, now 21, still has it and has always had it the worst. She's the one with regular preventive measures and frequent rescue treatments. By that I mean rescue inhalers and nebulizer treatments. She has the occasional visit to the ER when her home treatments don't work, but it's not as intense as ambulance rides or anything.

My teenage son still has it, but generally not very often - a few times a year he uses inhalers. Generally, it is after triggers such as exercise in cold weather and having colds.

With my daughter, we worry that eventually the meds won't work well enough, since the airways can become harder, less pliant with repeated attacks and subsequent treatments. I suppose SW could have had similar concerns with regard to her girls.

If that were the case, we would expect women to commit these crimes as often as men, but they do not.
Mental illness does differentiate between the sexes.

I wonder if testosterone can differentiate in terms of (some, but not all) women perhaps having feelings of anger or violence and not always acting upon them, but testosterone which is stronger in men can lead to an actual follow through? I am not a medical professional but these are questions I ask myself when I read of violent crimes and ask myself what the *heck* causes people to actually commit such horror? I'm squeamish and if I find a spider in the bathroom I usually ask my husband to take care of it. The thought of squishing it with my shoe just sickens me. He finds it easy to smoosh the spider!!

I disagree about AB not being news. She is a journalist who covered the 9/11 attacks on the ground in NYC. She is an experienced war correspondent. She was at ABC before she joined CNN and HLN.
Ashleigh Banfield's Biography
She isn't on a news program now. She's a host on a cable program. She's no different than Nancy Grace was on HLN.

Lol! you do not need testosterone to squish spiders IMO. I have done it although I have to really psyche myself up to. I have also apologised to Daddy Long Legs spiders when they got caught in my cobweb broom.

Perhaps he is Bipolar? Seems to be the "fits all" scenario these days.
I have bi-polar friends and family. He doesn't seem bi-polar to me.

I’m very familiar with her. My issue is more with the tabloidy nature of the show, although I must admit, it is far better than Nancy Grace in terms of sticking to actual facts. Just because she herself is reliable, does not mean that her producers are, especially when it comes to vetting sources.
Legitimate news organizations have higher ethical standards in vetting of sources. Which is why the gossipy stuff she is reporting has NOT been reported by journalistic news organizations such as the Denver Post. They have a higher professional ethical standards as to what they use for "unnamed sources."

Men are also incarcerated at a rate of something like twelve times the rate of women, so sex does play into it, whether a person suffers from mental illness, medical condition, or whatnot.

Can we link to wikipedia? Its sources contain citations, so I would think it would be considered reliable enough.

Incarceration in the United States - Wikipedia

I would think that males are also more likely to have suffered a brain injury.

People has partnered with ID over the past few years. I think they do a good job
And that's up to you but they are still an entertainment program, not a news program and they cost money to view them.
