I have never in my long life seen a ray of sunshine come down like that. I have seen it in religious paintings or altered photos.

I have taken several pictures like this over the years, with the same ray of light. I don't want to get off track but the following photo is one I took around 17 years ago. (It's scanned so the image quality isn't great.) Like the graveyard image, it has that same ray of light. Now, to put it in context...this photo, too, was taken of a cemetery. This is one in Mostar, Bosnia. All of those graves were from the war. In the background, you can see a bombed out house.

Now I am not a Christian, don't even believe in God, but seeing the photo from the girls' burial and then looking at mine, even I have to say I think there's something to this. Not to get all supernaturally or anything, but I definitely believe in energy and that we're all connected in some way. I hope that one day, probably way ahead in the future, SW's family can look back on the burial image and get some kind of comfort from it.

Respectfully, there are lots of evil people, but very few of them feel the need to exterminate their entire family. In response to your statement I would ask, "If it's just a choice evil people make, why don't crimes like this happen more often?"

Listen to a police scanner at night before you fall asleep. This will change your opinion.

Back to the brain. I remember seeing a documentary on tv about the brain and ADHD, especially impulse control and the rages that someone with ADHD can have. It was because parts of the brain did not allow impulses to flow as smoothly across the brain. The impulses were impeded and they could not cope like normal people and would explode. Also research neural pathways. When you repeat actions over and over, the neuron will actually grow and thicken. Absolutely, everything in our life can affect our brain and yet we know so little about it. If someone has those problems, there are medicines that can help or therapies. Not at all. Notice I said that there are medications...usually stimulants...and therapies to control the rage and frustration. Don't think that he likely had ADHD, but that was the disorder that started some of the research on the function of the brain.

But for someone who has ADHD, the stimulant actually works to calm down your racing thoughts rather than speed you up. It's strange but that's what happens.

IIRC, someone else refuted that theory by saying that most of the operators have battery powered impact wrenches that could remove and replace the bolts in minutes. Will we ever know what he really did?

What I would like to see is an actual picture of these tanks with a manway. Was the manway on the very top of the tank OR was it on the uppermost part of the side of the tank?

Perhaps the babysitter for Sat 8/11/18 was so CW could go to oil site and prep for what was to come 8/13/18. Perhaps he told babysitter he had a work event to attend.

Since he was put in jail, Watts has been placed under watch protocol, which is better known as suicide watch, and must be checked on by a detention officer every five to 10 minutes.

Several times a day, someone enters Watts’ cell to make sure he is still alive and still in custody. There is also a cell check every day, in which he has to be completely searched.

For one hour each day, Watts is allowed out of his cell, into a room where he is the only person present. He has also been denied access to television and is not allowed to have reading material in his cell.

Authorities said Watts is forbidden from keeping exercise equipment in his cell and has no personal effects and no access to the commissary.

I agree with you. Not only does she not seem the type to do that, but even if she had some “red flags” in terms of past behavior, I still wouldn’t believe CW’s insane story. His coverup, destroys even the smallest chance of it being true.

And I agree with YOU. The cover-up says it all. There are MANY things about his story that make zero sense. Coupled with the bizarre interviews.... Just no. But if you removed all his other behavior, putting those poor babies in tanks of oil seals the deal on his guilt for me. Moo

I don't disagree, but there have been many women that have helped those men and many women who have done horrible things. Andrea Yates here in Houston for instance. I'm horrified by so much that my gender does, but I am not the enemy and, I believe, most men aren't.

I would put Andrea Yates in a separate category from people like CW. She was clearly suffering from extreme mental illness and delusions. Deanna Laney out of Tyler is another example in that same category. These women come under the delusion that their children must be killed in order to save them. It is very sad.

Yates is one of the few I have genuine sympathy for. She needed help, and she was aware of this, but she couldn't get family support for it. I have a friend who is a pretty solid Americana singer and she wrote a song about Yates called Paper Gowns. Friend is Caroline Herring. It's a good song.

ETA: Sorry, her song's about Susan Smith-someone I do NOT have sympathy for, but it is still a good song. I just reread the lyrics and some of them are applicable to CW:

Two huge red flags are his changing versions. 1) His family disappeared; no affair 2) he saw Shanann strangling Cece on the baby monitor after having killed Bella who lay blue in her bed and he then strangled Shanann; an affair with a co-worker.

The importance of the initial statement to police can’t be overstated as the accused at this point is unaware of any evidence, including witness statements, that may be used against him. NU’s early intervention no doubt stopped him from disposing of the bed linen found on the floor in the master bedroom and in the kitchen trash can. Add to that the neighbour’s surveillance footage and the arrival of the police before he had time to clean up and it’s hardly surprising that he changed his story so quickly.

CW demanding DNA testing of the children is intriguing. His lawyer, Megan Ring, wrote that she wants to make sure DNA from the girls’ bodies is maintained and she has not been able to ascertain whether the prosecution is taking steps to do so. She said, ‘It does not seem clear that the coroner, pathologist, or anyone working on behalf of the prosecution team in autopsy plan to take swabs of the necks of the two decedent children’. She specifically asked for ‘several swabs of the neck’ to be taken, along with control swabs on other parts of the girls’ bodies.

If CW knows his DNA won’t be found on their necks (and no-one, including the police, believes SW strangled her babies), perhaps it’s because he didn’t strangle them but in fact smothered them. I’m looking forward to the autopsy results. I would have thought that if he had even the slightest shred of humanity, smothering would have been his preferred option. How a father could look into their eyes and see the sheer terror on their little faces as he murdered them is simply beyond my comprehension. These were his babies and they obviously loved him. There are many photos showing what appears to have been a once happy family. Only a monster could commit such a horrific and heinous crime, and we’ve seen no sign of remorse at all.

I’m finding it incredibly difficult to follow this case because it’s so distressing. Bella’s song haunts me every day.
