Decomposition was more advanced if he killed the kids Sunday or earlier....?
We don't know exactly when they were last seen.
Girls attended birthday party with CW on Sunday 8/12 -- many witnesses. I do believe CW killed them before SW arrived home.

The thread was locked when I saw that
@Jennifer17 asked why CW would have gone downstairs --- he could have gotten water from the bathroom taps.
My asweris that he could have been grabbing something from the fridge or
I think it's possible that the Watts had a bottle water dispenser in the kitchen only.

I don't know how close fracking sites are to their housing tract but there were so many fracking tanks all over by the Roggen ranch tanks where the bodies were found.

Fracking can contaminate water making it dangerous to drink and also flammable.

The couple who videotaped their search for the crime scene tanks stopped at gas station where the toilets were locked. The owner of the gas station said that they were on well water and the toilet water now stunk. He closed down the toilets.
The thought has crossed my mind that he went down to get her phone so there would be no chance of her calling 911. Purely speculative, of course. JMO

Not for the "fun of it" - one of these shady tabloid outfits will cough up $$$ for stories like this. After it is proved wrong it still sells ! I watched one video that claimed the same sex AP is trying to sell his exclusive for 6 figures.

Ugh. Disgusting. There are family and friends out there grieving a horrendous loss. They don't need this. I guess that answers my other question: if these things are true, why not go to law enforcement instead of media? I guess $$$ is the answer.

At the very top, in the masthead, click "new posts". Took me a while to figure that one out. I was doing the same as you,
Yes. But that takes you to all of the various thread like Tibbets where people have posted new posts.

I don't want to disupt the discussion going on hre. Maybe I'll message one of the mods.

I'm not sure if this has been brought up or not.. I tried to read through everything!

I have a question about the baby monitor. If it's a modern monitor with a screen, wouldn't there be a recording somewhere? My baby monitor had a "sensor" on it when there was movement or noise that it would do a short recording so we could re-watch it later. Curious if they had something similar....

People magazine quotes a LE source as saying the monitor did not record anything.

Yes, but how did they know where to fly the drone?
Same question I have been asking. Something pointed them to that exact site prior to CW confession, which LE isn't divulging. The affidavit states that he went to check on a work site near Hudson by his own admission (I've no idea if that is the near or the exact location of the tanks. If it is, then CW truly is a moron because he led them straight to the bodies...which may have been what forced his confession once LE confronted him with drone evidence.

In the previous thread, I posted that I was interested in knowing what piqued LE interest in CW having an affair, after doing a welfare check. Perhaps because in my area, I'm pretty sure LE would show up, shrug and say, "Let's see if they return home, call us tomorrow if they don't," and then go about their business that day. They definitely would not begin investigating for infidelity nor inquiring about neighbor's surveillance cameras. But, I'm in a big city where LE have plenty other priorities. For CW, that 2-day investigation would have began the day they did the welfare check, and up to the day CW was arrested. The fact that her shoes, purse, suitcase, keys, car, etc remained is suspicion enough for foul play, but not for a cheating husband....MOO.

Yes. i think CW is the one who hid the phone behind the pillow on the couch in the loft, so SW couldn't call 911 and her phone pings would remain at the house.

Or, maybe SW hid it from CW because she knew he'd try to grab it. I still think it's possible that she as gathering stuff up in order to flee the house w/ the girls that night and go to a friends house, most likely Nikole's house amd that's why the keys were in her car.

It seems false to me . I obviously know he cheated however there are some people that try to gain attention to themselves by lying in every case. Absolutely zero proof or evidence only hearsay thus far . So I would think no . Give us evidence

Agree. And it should be noted that Radar pays for it's stories. There is a lot of false information on that site. This is most likely why we cannot link their stories here.

I agree with you, and IIRC the news, before he confessed, but after LE found the sheet was that they suspected they knew the location of the bodies of the 2 kids. Before he confessed to anything. Remember that? It was curious the way they were putting it, if they hadn't found graves of the kids, what made them think he put them IN the tanks, as opposed to burying them somewhere else? As it turned out they were in the tanks, I bet LE already knew that thru the tank videos.

I think they knew where he had disposed of the bodies, but maybe not specifically where.

AND--they needed him to confirm that location to corroborate his confession with something that was objectively verifiable. So I think they at least knew the location of the shallow grave (if not that the bodies were in the tanks), and they put pressure on him to confess. The really (!!) wanted him to confess, even though they had discovered the bodies. So they say something to him to indicate that they know he was at this location, and they found his wife buried there, and they show him a satellite picture and ask him to point to where the body was buried, and when he does, they can confirm he has information that was not released to the public.

So he confessed his knowledge of where the bodies were, and then how they got there, but he didn't confess to killing them (as was widely reported). He backtracked on his confession when he told the story about SW killing the girls. It was really too bad that they didn't continue the interrogation to see if he would break. We don't know if he requested a lawyer at that point, or if he asked to leave, or if they felt they needed to arrest him them because the story of the bodies was about to break.

Wonder what those white signs say. Wonder if says something like no trespassing and that there are cameras.

I found the image attached to an AP article- the sign reads: “keep gate closed and locked at all times”

The image is followed by this: (“A locked gate at an entrance to a ranch in Colorado's eastern plains, near where police say the bodies of Shanann Watts and her daughters Bella and Celeste were discovered at an oil work site, is seen Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018. GPS coordinates provided by the Frederick Police Department indicate the site is on or near the ranch outside Roggen, Colo. (AP Photo/Dan Elliott).”

But why would they pay people to say lies? If they wanted to lie they could just make it up themselves.

CW had to gain access somehow. Once SW and the girls went missing, one of the 1st things LE would have done would've been to verify CW was where he said he was (work). Anadarko was most likely able to confirm his whereabouts, whether from a clocking-in type system, ID badge scan, or verified key entry to the work site. Once that was confirmed, a cursory overhead search (drone) would've easily spotted the sheet and the freshly turned ground (grave).

Thanks but that just takes you to one thread, the latest one. It doesn't show you all of the threads 1-18 where you could click on one easily.

Thanks everyone. I'll try what you suggest but I don't want to keep replying and
slow down the discussion about the case.
Well, when I click on that link the very first post brings up all the threads, 1-17, easy to click on. then you scroll down for 18. When I log on in the morning I just go to the alerts and that brings to me where I was the night before.

This is fascinating! It's the Tyler Tessier case. Watch the video at the top of this news story. Police tell how they intentionally invited the suspect to speak at the news conference following the disappearance of his pregnant girlfriend. They wanted to hear what he had to say. I think that the press release by the Detective in this case was an intentional attempt to get CW to talk about the disappearance so they could use his words against him.

Maryland murder suspect Tyler Tessier dies in jail cell just before start of his trial

ETA: Tessier's words at the news conference are hauntingly similar to CW's words to the media.

Big mistake as always... just say you are too distraught over your missing family instead of looking the fool/guilty.

Exactly. I don’t know why everyone believes Chik-Fil-A lady. She’s got just as much credibility as TB. Or was there some proof that she had a relationship with Chris?

thank you! (I've been reading these forums for weeks, but finally decided to join because I had too many questions!)
I figured it was probably brought up at some time, but possibly a page I missed! Our monitor is 3 years old, has wifi capability and connects the recordings to our phone. Just thinking that with all the other modern conveniences they had, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a fancier monitor that did the same thing!
From what I have seen posted here on WS, the brand of baby monitor in the Watts home was Summer Infant baby monitor. You can see it listed on Walmart's website.
Ashleigh Banfield had a segment showing the baby monitor. I don't have cable so I have to wait a few days to see if AB posted it on her website.

I specifically posted questions about the baby monitor and Ring doorbell to SW's friend @isalybra but they weren't answered. I'm not sure that she saw my list of questions or got overwhelmed because I asked so many questions of her. ;)

So, I think this is what is known:
1. Baby monitor is Summer Infant brand not certain of the model. The displays cuts between the 2 cameras in the girls rooms. When there kids' bedroom lights are out, the image displayed looks like a fuzzy, high-contrast B/W image tinted in a blue hue. There is no way that CW could have determined that Bella's skin was blue from rigor mortis. It probably wasn't even possible that rigor had set in by that time.

2. The doorbell was Ring brand doorbell. It was activated by a motion sensor --- the person coming up to the door. The doorbell didn't have to be rung in order for it to notify the homeowners. We don't know the plan that the Watts had --whether it included transmitting to an independent Cloud besides calling CW and SW's phones. Ring doorbell me is wireless wife.

I believe that CW+SW's phones might still have on them what the Ring doorbell was seeing. That's how they would know who is at their door.

Surely CW wouldn't be dumb enough NOT to disable Ring if he's having lovers coming to the house. Who knows? Maybe he wanted to get caught by SW.
He was passive/aggressive. He would probably force her to make the decision about separating so he could blame everything on her. "She made me do it!"

WS sleuths, please correct me if I'm wrong about the above. I haven't been able
to read everything.

One can literally contact Radar with a story, and if they are interested, they will buy it. The National Enquirer does the same thing. There is no vetting involved unlike legitimate journalism.
