I don't think we know the model or exact capabilities of the monitor, but I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong about that. AB demonstrated what is supposed to be (IIRC) the same system they had. It's just 3 minutes long and worth watching, IMO.

Well, from what I can tell, this is the Summer Babytouch model.. I looked it up, and it doesn't look like it has that wi-fi capability, so not likely to have a recording feature. Dang!

From what I have seen posted here on WS, the brand of baby monitor in the Watts home was Summer Infant baby monitor. You can see it listed on Walmart's website.
Ashleigh Banfield had a segment showing the baby monitor. I don't have cable so I have to wait a few days to see if AB posted it on her website.

I specifically posted questions about the baby monitor and Ring doorbell to SW's friend @isalybra but they weren't answered. I'm not sure that she saw my list of questions or got overwhelmed because I asked so many questions of her.

So, I think this is what is known:
1. Baby monitor is Summer Infant brand not certain of the model. The displays cuts between the 2 cameras in the girls rooms. When there kids' bedroom lights are out, the image displayed looks like a fuzzy, high-contrast B/W image tinted in a blue hue. There is no way that CW could have determined that Bella's skin was blue from rigor mortis. It probably wasn't even possible that rigor had set in by that time.


WS sleuths, please correct me if I'm wrong about the above. I haven't been able
to read everything.

I saw the Summer brand too - did some googling, and it looks like it's the BabyTouch model, which Summer no longer lists on their website, so I'm assuming is not produced anymore. The Motorola brand one I have specifically lists that there is wi-fi capabilities and that you can download an app for remote access (I used several times when out of town to make sure hubby was actually putting her down for a nap ha!). I found a couple on ebay that have the original box, and neither list a wi-fi function, or the app that can be downloaded. If this is indeed the brand they have, then I'm sure there was no recording function. I also agree on the not being able to tell she was blue.. when in night vision mode on our camera, everything is gray and dark gray. No distinguishable colors.
Too bad. That monitor could have been a key player!

The no time to clean up would make some people think that it wasn't premeditated.

But we have to remember that SW flight delay and Nicoles immediate response that morning/afternoon prevented CW to finish the cover up.

I wonder how many perps would have been caught on day 1 in lies if they weren't lucky enough to have several days to stage things.

So imo. The murder of SW was premeditated. He just didn't get a chance to cover it up like the rest of the killers whom were able to wait days and weeks before making a missing persons report. Jmo

The only reason I’m thinking not is why hide the girls in tank to cover scent if you throw her in a shallow grave the scent would be horrendous . Not trying to be disrespectful . We can’t have both arguements. But if he did dig graves then no way oil tanks were to hide scent . So why then are kids in tank ?

I'm still unclear as to whether these particular tanks were the ones that held
oil that turned hard like cement or whether they held lighter sweet oil that was 104 degrees.

There was a retired oil guy who posted way back on this forum who tried to eplain it to us. Maybe he is reading and will talk us through it using the latest revelations on the Watts case.

Besides the above mentioned, I'm unclear these things:
1. Were the girls found one each in these particular side-by-side tanks shown by the drone photo? Or did CW dump one of the other girls at a different location?

2. If you watch this video of a similiar Anadarko tank, you can see the small
porthole that has been opened on the top of the tank. The little girls could be stuffed through it but not SW. In the video at 1:12, you see a bigger porthole that is open with a ladder inside. An adult worker would be to discend down the ladder . SW would have been able to be dropped down this porthole. But where is this bigger hole located in relationship to the smallerone? Anyone know?

This not the murder scene tanks or CW in the video. It is Anadarko tanks though.

This is fascinating! It's the Tyler Tessier case. Watch the video at the top of this news story. Police tell how they intentionally invited the suspect to speak at the news conference following the disappearance of his pregnant girlfriend. They wanted to hear what he had to say. I think that the press release by the Detective in this case was an intentional attempt to get CW to talk about the disappearance so they could use his words against him.

ETA: Tessier's words at the news conference are hauntingly similar to CW's words to the media.

2. The doorbell was Ring brand doorbell. It was activated by a motion sensor --- the person coming up to the door. The doorbell didn't have to be rung in order for it to notify the homeowners. We don't know the plan that the Watts had --whether it included transmitting to an independent Cloud besides calling CW and SW's phones. Ring doorbell me is wireless wife.

I believe that CW+SW's phones might still have on them what the Ring doorbell was seeing. That's how they would know who is at their door.

Surely CW wouldn't be dumb enough NOT to disable Ring if he's having lovers coming to the house. Who knows? Maybe he wanted to get caught by SW.
He was passive/aggressive. He would probably force her to make the decision about separating so he could blame everything on her. "She made me do it!"

The girls had separate bedrooms, so if CW saw Bella sprawled out on her bed, he would have then had to take the time to toggle the monitor to Cece's room to observe Shanann strangling her. Now, if you see your child sprawled out and blue, are you going to think to yourself, "Hmmm, wonder what's going on in the other room, let me toggle over there..." or are you going to rush in there immediately?

Sure you're putting it right. I would absolutely hate to be constantly video taped for the huge anonymous FB audience. But I wouldn't hate it enough to kill anyone, obviously. He should have made his feelings known if that was a problem of his, the matching outfits, livestreams, etc. I'm imagining right now, the look on my ex's face had I said we were wearing matching outfits today for a tape for the internet. No not violent, but he would have thought I had lost my mind.

Girls were located in 2 separate tanks per affidavit/MSN. The tanks at CERVI 319 are not heated, they hold crude oil.

I agree, many people falsely insert themselves into cases. Usually two reasons for this.... personal attention or to stir the pot.

Since it appears the article did not name the woman, I'm guessing she wanted to remain anonymous (for obvious reasons). To me, this rules out an personal attention seeker.

Could be someone trying to stir the pot. If it's true, I wish they just contacted LE.

Still wondering IF she testifies IF this could contribute towards evidence of premeditation... doubtful probably.

I'm guessing that some of them also think there will be money involved, that they can sell their story.

Look at what the Mr. Thayer had to post on his FB after he and his wife had ONE interview with a news reporter explaining why they let him stay at their house after SW + the girls went missing. They were hounded by the press.

I agree 100%. I also wouldn't be surprised if she knows a lot more than she revealed in her early interviews. She spent a lot of time with SW that weekend in AZ, on the plane and the drive home.

I think it cuts back and forth between the rooms automatically. You don't have to physically press a toggle button or switch. Security cameras at stores can do this --if they don't have a static thumbnail grid, the cameras cycle fullscreen through
the various cameras.

Not sure if this has been discussed previously, but my thoughts today are on SW's shallow grave and on the bed sheet that was found near her grave.

My thoughts are that CW would have been familiar with oil storage tanks and the size of the openings on these tanks. Did CW want SW's body to be found and did he leave the bed sheet behind to aid in finding her body?

JMO - I do think CW planned everything in advance and like Scott Peterson, I don't think CW ever dreamed that LE would look at him with suspicious eyes because he is such an upstanding guy.

JMO - could CW's plan have been for LE to come to the conclusion that SW and the girls were abducted from their home by a kidnapper? This would explain why SW's keys, cellphone and car were still there.

JMO - could CW's plan have been for SW's body to be found and he left the bed sheet behind to aid in this discovery?

JMO - could it be the girls were put in the oil storage tanks because CW didn't think LE would think of looking there, but would rather be looking for two kidnapped little girls?

To me, this would explain why the bed sheet was left behind and why SW's keys, cell phone and car were left behind. If LE believed this to be an abduction/kidnapping that originated in the family home, finding a bed sheet from the home where SW's body was found in a shallow grave would point to a kidnapper having taken the bed sheet from the home. JMO. And SW's keys, cell phone and car being at the house would also point to an abduction.

JMO - SW's friend, N, raising an early alarm may have prevented CW from getting rid of the kitchen garbage that contained the sheet and pillow cases. After LE was involved, CW would have had a hard time disposing of that.

JMO - my thoughts are what really got him was the neighbor's security cam that showed that SW and the girls never left the house that day and that no one had been to the house. In one of the interviews, CW did speculate they could have left by the back door, where there were no security cams. But with a 6 foot tall fence in back with no gate, LE would not buy that theory. JMO.

JMO - I don't think CW realized the neighbor's security cam recorded the front of his house. I think after that was pointed out to him by LE, he brought up the "emotional conversation" to try to steer LE into thinking SW and the girls may have left on their own and just disappeared.

Hate to be crude but blood evidence or hair from a dead body that matches the 3 Watts females. Plus, DNA (hair, body fluids like saliva or semen) from CW's various sex partners. GPS that shows CW going to the locations of the 3 bodies.

I’m trying to visualize a human being who would think it was a good idea to make three separate trips carrying his dead wife and his two babies, that he’d just strangled, through his house, down the stairs, through the garage, and out to his truck, with the intention of driving them to a remote oil field, then dumping them all into crude oil tanks, believing he was going to get away with it. Something is very very wrong with his psyche. Who, but a very warped human being would think this up? And then have the hubris to do it? And then carry on with his life as though nothing out of the ordinary had happened?

All the bodies were located at / around CERVI 319. What is not visible in the tank photos is a pipe staging area to the right of tanks - walking distance. LE keeping all this info close to the vest as it should be. I also do not believe there are the type of cameras you're envisioning at this location. CW chose this location for a reason. MOO

LATE EDIT: For some perspective on CW's choice, CERVI only had 4 producing wells, but 2 are dry and/or abandoned. #319 is not a well but a cold holding tank pad. Not much activity at CERVI. MOO...
