I agree with a lot of what you say, but I can't think of a video that would change my mind as to the innocence of Shan'nan in this case, no way she killed her kids. If I were the family I would consider shutting down the FB site.

Do we know, for a fact, who has control over her Legacy Facebook page? Just wondering as I have never scene documentation on such.

Hello All — I have lurked for several weeks and followed this case very closely (rare for me.)

I do appreciate the general human decency of this forum and the diligence of the moderators and experts.

What a heartbreaking case...

Here is why I registered, (and I apologize if someone has already addressed this concern.)

In the Christmas video, in Shan’ann’s early close-up talk w the camera about her plans:
(It appears she’s in her closet) - there is this:

Has anyone else noticed what looks like a horizontal, reddish-brown scar on her neck? It’s pretty visible in that video.

I don’t see it in other pics, but may have missed something.

Wondering if she’d had some sort of surgery?

Otherwise.... a scar? On her *neck?*

For now I’ll skip what goes through my mind. Several awful possibilities.

In general, I can attest that some real nasty DV can be very well hidden behind closed doors.

Again, sorry if this has been addressed already. Can’t follow the thread 24/7!
Welcome to WS @AmaranthaRuth - you're among friends here!

SW defined her neck surgery as "anterior cervical discectomy fusion," and was later seen wearing a neck brace in her photos.

Made a good point no more Thrive. Wonder how he's going to look in Oct when he's back in court.
He may still look good since he has 23 hours a day to work out. There's really nothing else he can do in his cell MOO
Like a weak and meek mouse I think... filled with dread.

I wonder what they were thinking planning for a 3rd child when they already had serious financial problems and an unhappy marriage.

And sickly, and at least the thought of an affair, etc
Just don't know.

I almost want to post the link to my FB and have you all analyze my videos LOL

They are from my daughter wrecking a dirt bike (she's fine) , my son in a big tire being pushed down the road (he's fine too) to my husband working on my truck. Oh and the one where my 6 year old son is on a rope swing saying dad catch me as my husband misses him while having a beer in his hand (my son was ok just a fat lip and bloody nose). LOL

Anyways having said all that analyzing my own videos SW videos do seem forced and or staged not really natural to me but we are all different that's for sure. JMO MOO IMO

Yes, I think a lot of stuff is going to come out at trial. SW does seem passive-aggressive towards CW, as though he irritates her and there are some verbal jabs aimed his way. He just seems so flat and colorless and after a few years of marriage maybe they realized they were incompatible. Having a 3rd child to save an ailing marriage (if this was the case) is not a good plan, imho. JUST MOO.

Agree, not a good plan. And personally I cannot possibly see how having a 3rd child was his idea. I know his course presentation from a while back said that was a strategy for saving a marriage, but at the point at which they got pregnant with the 3rd child, the writing was on the wall I think regarding the marriage collapse. And he was having an affair. So why would a person who is so unhappy in a marriage that he is having an affair think that having a 3rd child is a good idea to the point where he *insists* on it or tries to convince his wife. Just doesn't make sense to me.

Now, I CAN see him going along with the idea. It's not out of the question to me to think SW is the one who wants another child (perhaps as a way to help deal with misgivings about his affair, or to help cement their relationship in public, or to seemingly hang on to him and their marriage, etc.), and then here he is- unhappy and having an affair- and he goes along b/c he thinks the pregnancy will keep her occupied. He sees it as a way to placate her and make her happy while he goes on along with his clandestine relationships elsewhere. That to me, makes much more sense. JMO.

Strangulation is often about control, it physically disables the victim and brings you face to face and causes immediate fear to the victim, if in an argument it stops the shouting, in domestic violence it is often used as a threat as the power is there to stop when the attacker wants too. It is possible he went too far.

When parents kill children especially mothers, sometimes suffering post natal depression or other depression related disorders, smothering is used as it is about releasing the child from some perceived threat or fete and not about causing fear and showing power.

I cannot see in any circumstance how SW would want to see that fear in her children's faces, feel their tiny hands trying to stop her. Then after doing it once, move on the second child and start again.
Add to the mix that SW is pregnant and is surging with pregnancy hormones. I have not read of any other case in which a pregnant female killed her two toddlers. Pregnant women are so vulnerable, so are little girls. How any person can kill them is beyond me. And to think the suspected murderer actually THINKS he can get away with it? When are people going to learn that if you're in an unhappy marriage and want to find AP's etc, just get a divorce, don't take innocent lives!!!

The only purpose I can see for having another child at that point (if the affair was going on) would be to distract her. Maybe if she's too sick or too busy preparing for a baby and raising two toddlers, she wouldn't notice him running around on her.

Very similar. Scott did a better job at selling it, but not by much. Just very cold people, especially outwardly.

It's possible he didn't think it would happen so soon. IRRC, she got pregnant almost immediately after "trying." Maybe he thought he had time to get out of it.

LOL my FB videos are 2 from my son's graduation, one of my teenage daughter laying on the kitchen floor laughing, one of my cat playing fetch, and one of my trashcans floating away in a storm. So I see your point.

That said, I have several FB friends whose videos are similar to SW's and they are NOT trying to sell a product. I think some people are much more private than others. It's possible too that she put so much out there so she could share daily life with her family back in NC. Heck that's the only reason I even have a FB account... to share life with all my extended family who are 1000 miles away. If I lived near them, I'd delete my account in a second.

I know there's been a few people who've claimed they were part of a case or knew people but who just seemed sort of off. I don't know if they ever were found to be frauds by the mods or not. I don't think the mods make such comments. But some were banned or just left.

That's interesting. Seems that if someone were to claim insider knowledge and seemed to only stir up trouble (not that this person was here for that reason), if they were found to be frauds or unable to be verified, someone would let us know. But that's ok. :)

In Feb. of 2016, on Staten Island, a woman named Rebecca Cutler and her little girls were stabbed to death by Ms. Cutler's ex. He claimed he killed her to defend the little girls from her. He said he walked in while she was in the process of stabbing them and that he got the knife away from her and stabbed her with it to try to save them. He had a hung jury.

Actually he was convicted for the mother, hung for the children. Life sentence for the mother.
After four days of deliberation, a Staten Island jury on Wednesday delivered a split verdict against Michael Sykes, 26, convicting him of the murder of 26-year-old Rebecca Cutler inside the Ramada Inn on N. Gannon Ave. in Willowbrook on Feb. 10 of last year.

Agreed. Heck my ex husband pulled the same on me - badgered me into having baby #2 when we were already having obvious issues. I said no, and found out later he had been cheating on me at the same time with several women, while trying to convince me another baby was a great idea.

Based on his defense for killing Shanann and blaming her for killing Bella and Celeste, we can probably assume that he will claim that she threatened to hurt the girls if he left her. MOO

Weird replying to my own post, but I just wanted to add something about my narcissistic ex bf. We lived in the same apartment complex and after we broke up he told his new gf that I was threatening her. At the same time, he told me that the new gf was threatening me. Of course he lied about all of it. He did that so he had an excuse to always go to her place, while also trying to make me think he wasn't seeing anyone new.

Regarding some of Shanann's FB videos, if you really want to see some actual mean-spirited videos at kids' expense, watch Jimmy Kimmel's "I told my kids I ate all their Halloween candy" or "I gave my kids a terrible Christmas present" videos.

Extremely interesting. There have been posts that have been hidden since being memorialized. So that means she had a legacy contact and it more than likely was not CW.
