I wonder if CW was upset with one of the girls and went too far with her discipline and the rest escalated from there to try to hide his original assault.

MerryB wrote (I hit Quote and it didn't work, so am pasting the text in quotes that I'm referring to here):
"IRC:
Asthma-both
Nuts-CC
Celiac-B
Esophageal thing (can’t recall proper name)-B
Periodic Fever Syndrome-both
Adenoid/ENT issues-both"

I believe the esophageal illness was described as the acronym "EOE."

I just looked up EOE, Celiac and Periodic Fever Syndrome. EOE might be genetic - one site refers to recent research on the subject. PFS sounds like it can be genetic. Celiac Disease is hard to diagnose (one becomes gluten intolerant and symptoms mimic other illnesses so often can remain undiagnosed for at least the first 6-10 yrs of a child's life) so in addition to avoiding nuts for CeCe, maybe Bella had to avoid certain wheat-based foods as well that contain gluten. I'm amazed they were diagnosed with those at such young ages (minus the Celiac for CeCe) as often doctors, even with adults, send you home time and time again with a diagnosis of "Oh, it's viral" or "Oh, you ate something that didn't agree with you" and so on. But maybe with SWs history of various illnesses, they went right to bloodwork and extensive testing.

It makes me wonder as it has been said she was in doctor's offices very frequently for awhile (was that still the case?) - why have a third child who most likely might only be prone to illnesses such as these as well? More stress on the parents, more money spent on office visits, and such. Just wondering if that came into play on their last horrific night. The asthma, nut allergy and adenoid issue seem common to me. Then you start factoring in all of these other conditions...

I think they would be diagnosed younger because of their mom's autoimmune disorder. Those things are often hereditary and the docs probably wanted to get a handle on it early.

Like the Jeffrey MacDonald bedwetting scenario?

I'm trying to have an open mind here, as it relates to our VI thoughts. If we go with he only killed SW, would there not be some kind of anguish, feelings, emotions that his wife killed the girls? I mean there was nothing, if you were trying to put on an act, that wasn't it. It's like they were discussing lawn care during the interview. I'm sorry but I'm going back to the shirt, and my original thoughts and feelings when I noticed that interaction, waaayyy back in thread 1?/2? It would have completely insulted me to be asked about my shirt when I was "desperately seeking my family" ! IMO

Edit: I need to add, in no way is my post meant to be hostile to anyone. I'm just exasperated with the scenario.

hypothetical scenario: 2 hyper little girls who won't fall asleep so that CW can get one more romp in with his gf before SW gets home. he smothers one with a pillow just to get her out but not to kill her. Oops. Went too far. The rest was to cover his own a..

Exactly. That’s why his tale is so unbelievable. Human instinct is to protect ones family. He decided to protect himself instead.
I would think, if his story was true, that after his initial shock and grief, his first thought would be to take the phone, call 911, and say, " Now you are going to spend the rest of your life in prison for what you have done." If he really wanted her punished for what he claims she did to the children, killing her would not have allowed him to see that justice was served for his children. Is he claiming that he went into a rage and was out of control and not thinking rationally? I haven't read everything on the threads. What exactly was his statement?

Why did he continue to date her if she was so rude?
Folks, c'mon... you must know people with low self-esteem, perhaps never having dated at all or much, who are just thrilled to finally be in the crosshairs of someone attractive and seemingly out of reach? Her early ribbing out his wardrobe and such was probably miniscule in his eyes compared to finally being in a relationship. Just guessing. I do not know either party. But look at women who stay in physically abusive relationships, ones that could potentially kill them at any time - "Oh, he didn't mean it... I know he loves me. He said he was sorry. And look at the house I have! And the school my children get to go to!" And so on. I'm guessing CW may have not thought much of her comments like that early on... but maybe after time, and after he began to be more sure of himself, they got old. IMO. MOO. Did I just type "MOO"? LOL. Love the new internet acronyms.

Not often hereditary, they are absolutely hereditary.

I never heard CW tease back .

I wonder why he didn't. She apparently 'teased him' mercilessly on their first date. Why did he keep dating her?

Why didn't he tease back? Was he a martyr?

Another poster opined several threads back that LE had (probably, maybe) tipped the media as to what to ask to possibly elicit telling responses from CW, if true that might be why some of the questions seemed weird. But then he seemed to welcome the attention of anyone asking him anything and didn't seem in any hurry to go inside, or, um, go look for his family.

I missed this, but did he admit he had a women there before she came home? Or did he just admit to having an affair?

Exactly. The affidavit simply says: “Chris said he went into a rage and ultimately strangled Shanann to death.”

I'd really like to know that too.

Trinket said in a previous thread that CW told Shanann many times that he wanted out. I'd like to know why he wanted out and why he didn't just leave if that was the case.

I know this because she bought a new wardrobe for him. Packed his old clothes up.

And that's a bad thing? That kindness makes me like her even more.

I agree. Easier said than done. Jmo

What would make you think that since there was never any indication he was anything but an interactive and good father . This information comes from SW, SW parents , the friends , the neighbors ? I think a father who would take a pie in the face , fix his daughter’s hair , play Santa , workout with them , sing to them , read to them and care for them daily is no Jeffrey MacDonald IMO
SW was repeating over and over how they were “getting on her nerves”

Sorry I assumed the reaction was he bought new clothes after that

Then maybe he realized she was right. Maybe he was too old to dress like a skater boi.
