What reaction advice do u think he got from his lawyers?
To be careful. Not too emotional, could look phony. Not too wooden, could look coldhearted. I don't know, but isn't coaching a normal thing? IE the floozy who is suddenly wearing nunnish looking clothes at a trial.

was CW on steroids?

The 'bulked up' CW didn't get that way from Thrive so I have suspected steroids all along..I don't believe that will help his case though.

SW was talking about going to NC at least two months before though.

Maybe she knew for awhile. Maybe she had a trip already planned but then extended it upon discovering the affair(s). Who knows...

I saw emotion all through this video

IMO as well, yes.

I contrast his demeanor to others in similar cases where men have killed their wives and/or children- such as SP or Oj (don't have links to vids or anything, but just basing it off of my impressions at the time and having re-watched some after the fact), and I see a difference here. In other cases I saw stoicism and arrogance. I do not see that in these videos of CW. I see him being overwhelmed and glimpses of pain. It may be completely insignificant. He may just be a good actor or overwhelmed only by his concern for himself. But I'm not convinced of that at this time.

Agree with this. Especially when he says "Wow". To me it seems like he's really trying to feign excitement. However, my husband watched the video and said he looks happy to him.
It might very well be that he is used to " acting" depending on what is required in the situation. It wouldn't be the only time we have witnessed this in his behavior. Jmo

And if the affair with TB is real and was going on until last spring, it's possible she found out about that one ahead of NC trip. There's a lot we don't know and some we may never find out even after trial

Me too. The still on the video link shows it, even, imo, as he's kinda sucking his lip in.

but this was a hearing - he didnt have anyone to 'impress'

I don't think anyone is suggesting they know what he did, rather speculating based on the information we have. It's very possible that initially he confessed, as was reported following his arrest, and after speaking to a lawyer and his dad he changed his story. I'm not sure if they are basing the charges on the the original confession or not, but they must have enough reason to believe he is responsible for the death of all three. If it was a mistake that he confessed to all three, then it should probably be removed from the beginning of the thread. I would say it's an important detail to leave on here if there is any chance it wasn't true. For now that's what I'm going with. Jmo
This is the affidavit. It details the beginning of LE's investigation, including what CW said.

The way he says "wow" at the end of that video doesn't look happy to me at all either. Appears to be blindsided. MOO
Yes, that he is shocked or surprised definately appears to be feigned, imo. He's definitely not a good actor. In just about every video I have seen he seems to be deceitful in some way. Imo

I’m just going to throw this out there. We know he got a sitter Sat night. I would guess he was with his lover. CW and SW had been apart for weeks she comes in at 2am could this have all started by one or the other wanting to have sex and the other one didn’t and it therefore started an argument and escalated from there? I would have said making love but honestly I don’t think there was any love left and both knew it.

Except, we don't know for a fact he had a babysitter on Saturday night. It's still being discussed and bantered about in my opinion.

Interpretation is subjective indeed! He walked right toward the camera (and SW) and laughed. He lifted his arms to embrace SW and you could also hear him kiss her, but we couldn't see that because of the camera angle. JMO.

Very subjective indeed. His friend, a man and a man who knows him well said he didn't think he looked pleased ( Nick Thayer)
I've watched again since to check my own perception.
SW clearly thought he looked happy enough or I doubt she would have posted it out there to the world. Why did she not see what NT saw? IDK.
The subtexts & dynamics of this pair and & all the videos, are so subtle

I just have a hard time believing divorce and separation would be brought up at soon as she got home from a long trip. NA said SW was not feeling well during the ride home. I imagine SW would be very tired from the delayed flight and want to go to sleep not get into an emotional conversation at 2am. Something triggered this that spiraled into murder. Why wouldn’t he or she have waited until he got home from work to have such a serious conversation? Why at 2am? What triggered this? I think there is much more to this story.

IA. I also feel like, speaking from experience, as an introvert. I keep my emotions off of my face quite often. I have a "poker face" as my friends and gf like to call it. The only time I get really emotional is if I just can't take something anymore.

Something keeps gnawing at me. If indeed CW was asking for a separation wouldn't it be more normal for him to be the one to leave the family residence and leave SW and the children in the family home?

Those who have somewhat negative things to say about the victim (and however you slice it, SW is a victim of murder) paint picture of a "bossy" woman and a good ol' boy man having at least one affair and mostly doing what his wife told him to do, until supposedly asking for an affair. SO here is a scenario I can buy (all IMO): SW is not having it, and if CW goes through with separating, she promises to make his life hell. So this weak, cowardly man who feels controlled and henpecked decides he will finally show her. He kills his children, seeing them as part of her, she will withhold them anyway, and lies in ambush for her. It's pre-meditated but not well thought out. All MOO.

Sure he did, he knew it was televised. Public opinion. Influencing the jury pool. Earning a change of venue based on public opinion.

I didn't follow the case until about a week after (IMO) he killed them, so I may have missed a few things.
I missed a lot too. Originally it came out that he was lying and he was responsible for the deaths. I didn't start following until sometime after I heard the story about him claiming his wife killed the children.

It's entirely possible but he doesn't look that big to me, not big enough for steroids. Also doesn't have acne and seems like the type that might be worried about the shrinkage side effect...IMO

Wouldn't it be to early for actual coaching - by the time of that hearing? Access to his lawyers by that date - slim? Limited time? PDefenders - not well funded?

Isn't coaching done later, in most cases, eg pre trial for witnesses who will be speaking?

help me out , I'm from the UK and know nothing about US procedures, except the bare basics!
