I don’t want to repeat but I wanted to say I also live in northern CO and the ground in this state is mostly clay. You have a foot maybe. And I mean maybe of loose soil and then clay. My uncle was a soil tester for the state and I have included a link to northern Colorado soil testing (however I’m not that learned in understanding the results). But I can say that the soil here is really hard. Soil Surveys by State | NRCS Soils

It’s bentonite soil. Very hard. Love your name.

I intend to keep open the possibility CW is telling the truth about what happened until evidence is released that proves it untrue. JMO

I am sorry. You are given many instances where he has out and out lied. It is indisputable that he lied in these instances. What logic then leads you to believe him until evidence is released to prove more of his statements untrue. I guess I do not understand the foundation on which this thinking operates. Do you say "well he lied about X, Y, Z....but I am sure he is telling the truth about A and B and will stand by until you can prove he lied because all indicators show me he is a truthful person"? Is this how one arrives at saying something like what is quoted above? You do realize he has been caught in multiple lies? So what makes you move the burden to others to prove what has already been proven...he is a liar?

Just found this court case involving SW on FB. I think this is an ok site to post. Unless I'm reading this wrong, it seems she was part owner of the rim shop the VI said she worked for. ETA it looks like they sold custom rims and audio systems--name of the company is DIRTY SOUTH CUSTOM SOUND & WHEELS.

Murders of children don't take a lot of time. This one seems pretty sloppy. JMO
Yes, but I was thinking more in terms of if they were killed upstairs, within that 27 minutes they are all three murdered, he has to go out to the street (presumably) and back his car into the driveway, then make at least three trips up and down the stairs carrying the bodies to the truck, possibly strip the bed, get himself ready for work, etc. We do know the adrenaline would have been flowing, but I still don't think it could have been done in that amount of time. I think I may do some experimenting with this (timing it) after looking at the floor plan again.

Yes he did.... absolutely. Imo... he was trying to figure out a timeline
It's interesting that he said this. This interview was done on Tuesday. Per the affdavit, on Monday, he told LE that he and SW discussed separation at 4 a.m. and then he told them this discussion was at 5 a.m.

JMO, he was having a hard time keeping his story straight.

Yes, that was sort of my point in asking. Coonrod was dispatched at 1:40 pm and called CW for the outside garage door key code. I estimate that CW arrived home sometime around 2:00 pm, and we know he was at the disposal site that morning, but we have no idea how long he was there. We know he made at least two trips up and down those stairs and had to remove bolts, etc. We know he had to dig a grave (unless it was done prior) and a local just told us earlier today how long it took to dig a smaller hole in that soil. I guess it could also depend on how someone defines "quick." IMO, it wasn't.
How sad if he used the quick release portal caps like I saw in a video here earlier.

With all due respect... and I mean that. HOW ON EARTH! Can you explain from your point of view and timeline that the monster had this emotional conversation and there was time for her to murder her babies, him to lose it and murder her, load up the bodies of those poor people and dump the babies in oil tanks and throw some dirt over his wife (per the affadavit, paraphrased). Nothing about this post makes sense to me. Does not even match his timeline. moo moo moo
Actually, the Arrest document says CW gave LE the time of the emotional conversation at 4 AM.

CW used the word "nightmare" several times and seemed nervous and somewhat flat. I think what transpired is that: he saw SW briefly when she got in because he was asleep and heard her come in. CW got up and started his usual routine at 5 AM and that's when the emotional conversation took place.

I think CW was tired of Thrive dominating their family's life and said he wanted to separate. He may have said he was in love with someone else and Medea syndrome immediately kicked in with SW.

I do believe he felt he was trapped in a nightmare. I do not think he anticipated the storm that came and the mistakes he would make. Regarding the truth of CW's confession, I think there is quite a bit of public evidence already that shows it lacks truth. A reasonable man would have called 911 to try to revive his children. If he was in too much of a rage to do so, than how could he immediately pivot to covering up the entire set of events, in such a very short and limited timeframe? There is no grieving time, no shock time. His own timeline in his confession does not allow it. In the span of a little more than one hour after waking, he claims to have an emotional discussion, two children strangled, a rage with another strangling, and a pivot to bundling three bodies up and loading them into his truck. He proceeds to text and call a wife he knows is dead that morning from work, where he is well enough to function in some capacity. Hours later he is claiming ignorance. 24 more hours and he is demanding someone should come forward to put a stop to this, knowing full well only he has the answers. I do not see how this is something a jury could find reasonable doubt in pointing to him as the murderer of all, even without additional evidence. His complete lack of feeling and acting on behalf of his girls is only inline with being the one who murdered them. All of his actions following the murders only point to his guilt not to that of an innocent man. But this is just my opinion.

IMOO The way she speaks to him around the 6 minute mark is condescending and he looks like a deer in the headlights. I don't see her as beating him up, abusing the kids or threatening his life. This *is* a situation in which a partner could LEAVE the marriage (Chris) without fearing for his life. Maybe he acted in a fit of rage but we may never know, even AFTER the trial.

I absolutely agree with you except rather than a fit of rage I think it was a build-up of emotion and stresses that led him to murder his family.

So interesting and good find! One of the other persons listed as defendant is a fb friend of hers and his profile does say CEO of Dirty South Customs.

I can’t believe everyone is just glossing over his affair with AP. Nobody knows how long they’ve been seeing each other months? Years? While SW was on her trip I imagine he saw the AP a lot and got much closer. I’m sure LE is keeping this close to the vest. He could have been fantasizing about starting a new life with this person only way by wiping out his family. Especially if SW wasn’t going to agree to a separation or divorce. By killing and hiding them within hours was hoping they would just come across as missing then he could start a real relationship with her. This happens a lot in murdering the spouse cases.

Who was watching the kids while he was at work and SW on her trip?

I'm trying my best to be open minded because we don't have all the facts, mostly speculation and opinions.

IF, and only IF, it happened as CW said: I would understand if he ONLY disposed of SW body because he killed her;
but WHY disposed of the babies bodies in such a repugnant way? when, allegedly they were strangled by SW?

why keeping the charade ? why bargain to disclose the babies lifeless bodies location?
That's a question only CW can answer but it could be he feared nobody would believe him. A very valid fear, imo.

I still don't know if the tanks actually contained any oil. If empty, CW may have opened the bottom door and gently laid them in the tanks. JMO

Is someone who has had this kind of degenerative disc situation and then surgery, capable of strangling two children to death?

Yes. My husband has been through it. He still works a very physical full time job.

Wow that's interesting!

Agree. After the VI said she "worked at a rim shop" I could't figure out how she could afford her home--it just didn't compute. Her being an owner in the shop makes much more sense.
