I suppose the defense could paint a picture of him being scared, confused, and unwilling to say anything bad about his wife, that might portray her the wrong way. Kind of like how Jodi Arias said she didn't tell the truth at first because she was trying to protect Travis. Jmo

Or not doing anything— waiting for her to come into the MBR assuming he’d be asleep and instead finding the girls."

Is not unusual for HR/Security Department to be on alert when an employee is been on the news. They know they will get contacted by LE, hence, they pull out emails, workplace attendance, HR files which contains warnings, memos, etc. Also, Security Department usually issues a daily Incidental Reports; so it's possible something was caught on camera that justify employment termination before his arrest.

Maybe. I was married to someone who owned a business and he always told me an employer can fire anyone for any reason so I don't really know how it works. But he only had non union workers so I suppose that would be a different situation. Apparently their reasoning was justified. I'm sure they would not want to have any association with him. Jmo

or using a company vehicle to dispose of evidence/bodies. Also property damages by dumping evidence/humans remains on the tank, thus contamination of raw/finished materials. Those are grounds for employment termination.

I would certainly hope so.

I get the vibes from some here, that we should be treating the possibility of either one of them being the murderers of the babies as equal. But all the evidence we know of so far points to him. And, as idfinch pointed out (paraphrased), if she killed those kids, and given that we know for sure he desecrated their little bodies afterwards in a manner worse than shoving them into an active outhouse pit, we would have to believe that both parents pretty much hated those kids: one enough to murder them, the other enough to desecrate them. Which is heartbreaking and just not logical.

It's a little too convenient for him to blame it on the victim, as she is not here to defend herself. That in itself is apalling.

And, we learned yesterday from a VI that he actually had 2 opportunities for face to face discussions with his father, one when he picked the father up at the airport, then another one (after spending time with LE) when he wanted to see his father privately before he would tell the "truth".

Unjustified employment terminations happens frequently. Usually a several termination package is paid. That does not guarantee the possibility of a wrongful termination lawsuit. My hunch is that due to all the media coverage, HR has all the bases covered.

Right, but he definitely shows signs of nervousness. I think his only emotion was fear of getting caught. I had mentioned earlier that those big swallows remind me of him trying to "swallow the guilt." I could see the guilt on his face. Maybe not so much for what he did, but he knows darn well how others will perceive him. Jmo

Good point and I'm afraid that is exactly what could happen in this case as well. I'm not sure that's going to work very well because of the fact that he removed the bodies from the house and the manner in which they were disposed. That paints a very different story. JMO

I wonder if he had a co-worker in the truck, not when dumping the bodies, but just afterwards when he went to "work", maybe, aside from GPS data, maybe that co-worker noticed an attitude, smells, whatever. Or that he had come from the direction of the burial dump site. ETA of course that was before they were reported missing, but maybe in retrospect the co-worker remembered something.

That doesn't mean they won't try to use it as part of their defense. No one believed Jodi Arias either, and look how far the defense took that. Jmo

Yes, I think that is a big problem for him. Not sure anyone would believe that he lovingly placed them there so he could drive by and be reminded of his family for years to come. Jmo

It's also in his body language. The rocking and closed arms can be an indication of anxiety, or of being closed off from the situation. Imo. It depends on who is interpreting it. But yes, I agree for the most part he seemed to lie easily, with no apparent remorse, regret, or guilt for what he did. This is one reason I believe he has symptoms of Anti- Social Personality Disorder, rather than being in a state of shock, or Dissasociation as some have said. Jmo

Yes, you would think so. Yet he is bright eyed, well groomed, and there is no evidence of a frantic husband worried about what has happened to his wife and children. When he looks at the camera and " pleads" for them to come home, or for someone to let them go, he looks like he is just repeating the lines, as if in a commercial or something. It doesn't seem sincere at all. And of course, he wasn't. He didn't need to plead for their safe return because he knew they were submerged in a barrel of oil. Imo
