Do you think he had to be quite smitten with this AP in order for him not to do the obviously smart thing in having these items on but instead, in front of cameras talking about this missing wife, he makes sure he is not seen with bracelet or ring?
JMO but I think he was planning to go with the story that the relationship was over and SW took off with the two girls. Even tho he couldn’t get back in the house and stage it the way he wanted to I think that’s the story he planned to go with in his first interview but realized quickly how many holes there were in that story. I don’t know if he thought of the wedding band and bracelet at all before his interviews but even if he had LE had seen him without those things (I assume) so putting them back on would likely generate LE questions AND upset the AP.

On AB today they said C.W. said at sometime during his porch interviews that no cameras were able to capture the goings on at his house during the time his family went missing, but he also said that SW arrived home at 1:48 AM. They pointed out that this made him a liar because he obviously knew SWs exact arrival time because he had learned about the cameras. I don’t remember hearing C.W. say that there was no camera footage. I don’t want to go back and listen to him again. It will make me sick. Does anyone remember? Did he say that?

And the VI is getting their information from CW, not SW. So I have to wonder if CW was speaking the whole truth.
If you are referring to @Trinket78 , she has stated that she knew them both well.

I actually asked her this very question & she said she would not recommend it. @DrWander
If she is around, I'd like to ask her if she would recommend a mid-wife for a high-risk patient. That sounds unbelievable to me. JMO

So, I just want to put out there.... very sincerely.

Why is it so much easier for some to grasp the theory of controlling, OCD, attention seeking woman.... who by all appearances and accounts but for one, was a go getter, a loving mother, one who may have taken a Christmas video too far, protective and loving mama who had perhaps good health insurance to make sure her babies were healthy.......taking a breath...

Loving wife who supported her husband (encouraged his 50lb weight loss per Steelers video) went out to earn her living, bought her own house that CW lived in prior to CO per VI, looked into her babies eyes and strangled one.... then after doing that moved onto the next.... watched both of their horrific deaths... all while CW went downstairs for a moment.... before he happened to see a "blue" face on a moniter

Vs the gitana1 post that has been here many times including by myself.

Sorry for the long post. Of course MOO MOO MOO

As a contrast I watched the world lupus day video that SW posted on her FB and in it she says she is grateful for very healthy kids.

Regarding Lupus, SW says, "I am choosing to conquer my life and nothing else is going to take my life away from me......and I want my kids to live a healthy, fun-filled lifestyle." :(:(:(

I'm shocked an OB would approve a mid-wife for a high risk pregnancy. I find that impossible to believe. A husband is going to go along with it if the wife claims the OB approved it. JMO
As stated above, there is no verification that a midwife was used in any of her pregnancies. Maybe Trinket can let us know.

Thanks! I agree. There are people who go to the doctor for every little symptom and some who should go, but don't. SW seems in between the two. Can I ask if you have seen the questions about CW deleting his FB account and do you have any opinions on that? I know you may not have known SW very well or may not have been very close friends but do you have anything to add about that?
I heard he deleted his FB account before “the events” and my impression at the time was he wanted to take a break from social media. As I’ve said in previous posts now I think he deleted it because he didn’t want the AP to see anyone post something on his page that would indicate he was still with SW. JMO

YES, THIS!

And yes, one could ask how we know no one did say anything to her, but considering how... opinionated... people can be on social media, critical even, when it comes to other people's lives and parenting skills, and the fact that she was by everyone's admission VERY publicly active on social media, I find it hard to believe that there would have been a virtual vacuum of silence on such a serious issue if it was even hinted to exist all along.

Social media can be a very catty place, especially in the MLM world. Negative rumors take on a life of their own in groups, etc. By all accounts, Shanann was very well liked. Or the "appearance" she gave was. Or whatever people want to call it.

So... she had a pattern of abusing or neglecting her children, or else being hyper focused on their health (depending on the theory), and either no one noticed or no one said anything publicly at all of concern. You couldn't completely and instantly scrub all mention of her bad mothering skills from SM every time if it happened. You just can't do that. Her business was by nature too purposely public.

If she was so bossy that she did this to her kids and "trained" a meek CW like an obedient mouse, I'd think that at least some negative opinions of her would have been flying on SM by the people who knew him, knew them as a couple, or knew her before her entire family (save 1) was murdered and tossed aside like trash.

Or, some negative opinions of her would have been spoken of or supported in media interviews by friends and family instantly when she went missing, if alarm bells had been ringing about her character. If CW had been feeling like she was an abusive mother. If the in-laws felt the kids were being harmed, or the couple's close friends saw her as off somehow. He never said that, and no one else did either unless I missed a MSM interview or comment? Anyone in those first confusing few days, even?

Like NUA who instantly knew something was very wrong when she heard CW's reaction. Or the Thayers who had the most intimate up close access to CW out of ANYONE post-murders and were completely and totally shaken up to the point where they instantly called police after he left. No family rushing in to support him in finding his wife and kids and making public media statements... someone. Not even one. JMO.

The only negative comment I had read about SW being “controlling” of C.W. was from her employer when she worked at a car dealership.

I don't know the set up of her mid-wife/obgyn practice, but mine were a shared office. In that office I saw the mid-wife's for most of my appointments, and the obgyn less often so they were all up to date on my pregnancies. Only my 2nd was high risk. Then at birth the mid-wife was my main attendant, but the obgyn was stuck in the hospital during my birth just in case. It gave us all peace of mind and the care I was looking for.
Just my experience.

@MyBelle said:
If CW's defense goes with the strategy that SW killed the children, those medical records and histories will become evidence. JMO
@Seattle1 said:
And why do you think the children's medical records and presumably health histories will become evidence? The children didn't kill anybody.

The horrific loss of 3 lives is not a fantasy, and requires not your "simple logic" but the application of means, motive, and opportunity. There's nothing simple about it whatsoever.
I'm not sure I see the logic, either. I read it three times and still can't figure out what it could mean.

My SIL used a midwife. She also gave birth in a hospital with the best NICU in their region.
My daughter delivered twins after a high-risk pregnancy and the nurse-midwives program at the university hospital were not an option for her.

I think so, too, especially because he mentioned his separation plans to NU before the police had even arrived. He was planting the seed! But NU thought it strange and none of her business, and refused to allow the conversation to go any further.

I see. He goes along because she said so. (She went along because her OB said so.)

I agree. The story of CW asking for a separation, served a minimum of two purposes.

It explained why she may be missing (She may have become emotional and taken off).

And when he was cornered with the evidence that the dump site had been located, it gave him a way to explain how Shanann could have killed the kids, in anger and despair. In both cases, it directed LE away from him.

It's diabolical in its simplicity.

I so appreciate your honest responses. And I cannot express my sympathies to the grief you must be feeling. You are very brave to be here and enduring some of the comments.

Adding JMO just in case

Stay strong. Shanann Strong. Thank you.

The link you provided makes no mention of that. Is there a link that verifies she was allergic , or had dangerous reactions to animals? Was the dog always kept inside? It seems that SW was an obsessive house cleaner, and CW cleaned as well. I would imagine that would keep the dander way down. Also what kind of dog was it? Did it have fur or hair that grows?

A dachshund. Lots of people with allergies purposely go for short-haired pets instead of long-haired fluffy shedder varieties.

  • #1,379
And I still haven't heard whether this particular dog even has fur.
o_O:confused:

He also wasn’t wearing the purple lupus awareness bracelet he normally wore — JMO but I think he took them off to show AP his relationship w/SW was over.
Or maybe Shanann ripped it off while he was attacking her.

Again, we are assuming this was a high-risk pregnancy. IMO there are several signs it was not.
I think we’ve already established a lot of what SW posted on SM was not true.
This is the post I responded to: I'm shocked an OB would approve a mid-wife for a high risk pregnancy. I find that impossible to believe. A husband is going to go along with it if the wife claims the OB approved it. JMO
