.
welcome Applecross ( one of my favourite places in Scotland BTW)

Re analysis of the interviews, this was the best analysis I read which I posted back in the first threads in August. See what you think of it, if you haven't already. It's a long twitter thread.
Dr. Jack Brown on Twitter

This is fascinating. I hadn't read it before. The part about CW not touching his face is telling. It made an impact on me because I realize I touch touch my own face in the way he describes (covering mouth, hands on cheeks) just from READING about these cases. How could he not have more reaction thinking about his own dead children?? Mind boggling.

all I could find that you had posted were these two on sep 11

1)
"No immediately visible signs of foul play ( Monday- LE)
No immediate arrest ( only the BOLO Tuesday 7am)
A dog howling c. 4am ( welfare call by neighbour)

What we have, at the moment, all leads to the same scenario. There was no big fight in the small hours.
IMO"
Another post..2)

"Dieter, Watts's dachs circa 4am Monday"

I still cannot find anything to confirm 4 a.m. anywhere. (And now folks are saying it was 5:15)

Let me head to the media threads cuz this is bugging me.

ETA.. I've gone through the post and I think I see where it started. The article never said 4 a.m., it never said 5:15 a.m., it only said the day of the murders. There is no link anywhere that people were working from with a Time on it. In my opinion. It is a rumor that has gotten legs now in my opinion
I looked into it several weeks ago and there is a neighbor there with the cited but mis-spelled (on purpose?) that owns a home there per the county assessor. ETA, the source I found on the internet does not appear to be MSM.

Murder may have been an easier path... but he should have had a better plan if that was the case. I think so at least.

Last night there were some posts about the size of the "manholes" on the tanks, I can't remember the specific term. A few people mentioned the circumferences, ie 24" or 36". Just to clarify, we're not talking about diameter here? For example 24"

True. Makes me wonder about the other option, that people have discussed. Apparently these tanks have a lower door, which a person can enter, which is where they go to clean out the tanks? Is that correct? Could he have placed the girls from there, somehow?
Wow, manways became manholes, and diameter became circ. Perhaps we should call it tank entry point. So many good diagrams of similar tanks in earlier threads for anyone truly interested. (And most tank manways are 2 or 3 foot diameter).

FYI I’m still waaaaay behind on the last thread which won’t let me reply - not a lot of time today so I may not be able to catch up.

Can’t believe how fast these threads fill up - can’t imagine what it’s going to be like when there’s some kind of major announcement/breakthrough!
Yep, during the Casey Anthony and Jodi Arias trial it felt if I looked away from my computer for 5 minutes I'd come back and be 10 pages behind!

Only it seems (?) shoes off at door, purse and such on counter, suitcase by stairs.
So far for me- Ambushed around the 4am mention but I am also considering the girls already dead, then she puts stuff down to check on them, then he gets to her as/or before she has checked on them.
Still a fencing match going on in my head over this case.

No way to come around this case. When we think we are connecting the dots then something throw off that theory and back to square one, my personal experience. JMO

Could it be that the COD is different than strangulation?

I think the motion to seal the autopsies could mean the COD is different than strangulation or maybe CW is telling the truth.

But the motion at best will only be temporary from my understanding when the defense gets it/them (discovery) they can release if they wish.
I think they will show stragulation... and maybe other things that they don't want CW formulating an excuse/alibi for- at least until they shore up a few more questions/investigations/etc
Less time for CW to make up another lie or two.

The sealing of the autopsies wouldn't seal them from the defense.

Your theory was my theory at the very beginning.. I’ve wavered back and forth a few things since, but I think at this point I’d still stick with that theory. It really was my first gut instinct.

I think she was ambushed, and I think she was blindsided. I think that until the last few weeks when it’s reported he grew distant and wasn’t being his usual self with her and the kids, she had believed she had a good marriage.

Friends reported in MSM that an affair had crossed her mind, but not seriously. Both AT and NUA said that. She knew he was acting strangely but she didn’t know why. She joked that maybe he was having an affair, but then dismissed it as “he has no game”.

That also fits in with the following: before she went away for 6 weeks, he didn’t have much time for an affair. One of the things she loved about where they were living was the numerous activities on the weekends, particularly concerts. She would often mention things they were doing in her videos on the weekend, like they were going to an 80’s concert on a Saturday night. It’s also been said that they were very scheduled. Very! So when did he have time for an affair?!

So that makes me think the affair flourished during those 5 weeks she was in NC. He visited them in NC for the last (sixth) week and was reportedly “not his usual self” and was less interested in the kids.

Perhaps AP asked him to leave his wife. Perhaps AP didn’t know SW was pregnant. Either way, we know he was having an affair, and it’s a very common factor in these cases.

He deletes his Facebook account approximately one week before the murders.

Maybe, murder was the easier answer to him than leaving his pregnant wife and two young kids. Divorce with enmeshed financials, three kids, and child support is an 18 year long messy affair.

JMO
Well said. I agree with you on everything. Up until the six weeks of SW being gone he must have spent time with AP during work hours. I read AP was an engineer (not fact) and worked in the field as well they probably would meet up different places during work hours. JMO

I feel like the bit where the reporter asks him about his shirt is very telling. He seems more relaxed, like "oh I like this attention, it's about me now..." Then they go into where she might have gotten the shirt, that she was just there. The fact he throws in "I like these shirts, a lot" I feel like he threw that in there. To say, " I love when she buys me things, I love her so much" with the thought of proving he really loves her a lot. MOO.

What I noticed about that point in the video is that he finally let go of himself. Until then, he’d been holding one arm very closely to his body, and only gesticulating with the other. When watching the video, I thought maybe he or Shanann had injured his arm in a life and death struggle.

But then he moves his arm just fine, showing off his shirt.

I assume he was holding himself so tightly because he was scared to death and trying to self-soothe or not make a motion to give himself away.

The smirks and smiles are what get to me... he should have been at his lowest low. He just doesn't give that off looking neat and tidy in his new shirt. I would look haggard I would think.
Yep. You'd expect him to have red, dry/scratchy eyes from crying and being unable to sleep due to worry. The beard would be a bit straggly, the clothes rumpled as one would think the very last thing on the mind of a husband and father who cannot find his family is how to look "hipster-ish" in tv interviews. Does anyone recall Laci Peterson's mom on tv begging and crying for her daughter to be found and to come home? I cried with her when I watched because it was so heartbreaking. That was grief. REAL grief. I saw zero grief in CW's behavior, just nervousness and furtiveness.

I was referring to your own post that said "circumference", so please don't imply that I changed diameter to circumference. I don't think that any of us are more "truly interested" than others, so let's leave out those put downs. YOU were the one who said circumference. TIA.

This I know... I was saying the defense can still release the information WHEN they get it. Regardless if the prosecution doesn't want them to or not. That was my point.

This is a good interview with a Colorado defense attorney with experience in more than 100 jury trials.
Jace Larson

He talked about how long the case might take and if CW could ever get out on bond, when plea talks begin in many cases, etc. DB worked as a legal analyst for Denver7 during the James Holmes trial.

That would mean that he is lying about seeing one of the girls blue.
How many lies does he have to tell before we get to the 'truth'? An why would anyone believe that his truth is the truth after all his lies?

I feel so bad for all the family and friends - it's so senseless. If there is a trial by jury I can't help, but think of the poor jurors.

On a side note: If we had a mock trial here on WS I get the feeling many wouldn't want me as a juror.

Many of us had that same thought - that he might have sustained an injury. I wondered if it might have been a rib injury.

Yep those videos will be shown in court and will probably seal the deal for the jury. GUILTY
