What I noticed about that point in the video is that he finally let go of himself. Until then, he’d been holding one arm very closely to his body, and only gesticulating with the other. When watching the video, I thought maybe he or Shanann had injured his arm in a life and death struggle.

But then he moves his arm just fine, showing off his shirt.

I assume he was holding himself so tightly because he was scared to death and trying to self-soothe or not make a motion to give himself away.

JMO
I notice that too. When someone is holding their arms crossed as he was, to me, it indicates that they are keeping themselves closed off. JMO

After @gitana1 posted the list of cases where the autopsy results were kept sealed, I started reading about Sandra Cantu. That poor little girl was sexually assaulted with a rolling pin by a deeply disturbed neighbor. And then I started asking myself why was Bella killed first? I don’t see any reason why C.W. would lie about Bella being the first to be strangled, but who knows? She was starting kindergarten. She was the oldest daughter. SW was not home at the time. People Magazine did say C.W. had many sexual encounters with a wide variety of partners. Is it possible C.W. was so sexually disturbed that he could have assaulted Bella? And then accidentally killed her in the process? That’s why LE doesn’t want to release the autopsy reports? And the other murders are part of a coverup? God, I hope not.
I really really really hope not. Think I'll get physical ill if something like that comes out.

Oh no, I didn't know about the rolling pin. I feel sick to my stomach...
Personally, and this is just MOO, I don't think CW sexually abused one (or both) the girls then tried to cover it up by committing murder. (Although disposing of their bodies in crude oil vats certainly sounds as though he was hoping evidence would be destroyed by the crude.) I think he wanted out of his marriage and killed his family rather than go through a messy divorce and having to pay child support and alimony for a long time.

I had some suspicions along those lines too. :(

Its interesting to see the differing opinions about CW's demeanor in the "hipster" interview here on WS. (That's how I think of it because of his appearance and behavior.) I have re-watched the hipster video many times and what I observe is someone who is furtive and uneasy NOT because his wife and children are missing, but because he KNOWS he's not going to get away with it. He underestimated LE and media, and thought he'd have more time to "tidy up loose ends", but NUA threw a spanner in his works. I'll bet he wishes every day that he was back in his "unhappy" marriage and not in the miserable cell he'll be in for the rest of his life.
Just curious, have you watched the other videos or just this one?

I wonder about that... or if it to keep CW from concocting a new story for the time being until they get more of their ducks in a row.

Except he'd know what's in there through defense counsel. He has the right to the info, the public not so much. IMO

He can concoct all the stories he wants, the evidence will speak for itself.

What makes you believe that, specifically? There's a very, very false belief out there that women always make out like bandits in divorces, getting full custody if they ask for it and somehow being allotted a higher percentage for child support. I work in the field of DV (and am on a policy team) and believe me, that is completely a myth and in Colorado, I can cite the laws and statistics to prove it. Unless Shannan could prove physical abuse against the children by CW in court, all CW would have to do is ask for 50% custody (called "parenting time" in CO) and he would get it. Then, their incomes would get plugged into a formula and if SW was indeed making more, she would definitely be paying HIM child support. That's the law here, on paper and in practice.
Personal experience with my ex. And yes you are correct with the dv. I'm a survivor of 18 years of dv and my ex was arrested many times but because all charges where against me and never the children my ex did get 50/50. It took me over 15k and over a year and my children finally testifying (twice) that I got sole custody. When it was 50/50 he had to pay me still. When I got sole it was moved to over $900 a month. I have never seen a dime. I also walked away with nothing, from the house, vehicles and items in the home. I took children's blankets and some clothes .

I'm really surprised at that one. I have him and her equally guilty in my eyes.

I just had too much doubt to convict. I thought it was entirely believable that she had told him CPS took the child, as that would hardly be surprising. She was such a liar, and she cut a deal so wasn’t a credible witness as she had so much to gain by lying. He seemed so genuinely shocked and stunned when police told him Bella was dead. He was not my kind of person (!!) but he didn’t seem capable of murder. There was more, much of which I’ve forgotten now anyway, and I don’t want to get too off topic and get into trouble, but that’s the basic gist

I certainly hope you and your children are living gloriously now! And good for you for getting out of there.

AFAIK, They have asked the court not to disclose them to the public, not the defense. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. MOO
Correct. It's only a request not to disclose until trial because without this request, Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) allows media/public disclosure within 10-12 weeks of autopsy completion (and without regard to age and/or minor children involved).

I remember when the videos were first aired and just being absolutely astounded that he laughed. And I know there is such a thing as nervous laughter, but when you combine it all - the smiles, the laughter, the lack of any signs of grief, etc. it is clear that what we're seeing is Dupers Delight. MOO

Yes we are thank you :)
He's in prison and we are safe :)
Thank you for the work you do. So many people helped me and once my kids are grown I hope to do volunteer work for dv victims.

For the record I don't think SW was a victim of dv but a much worse person :(

1 still does not a case make. MOO

I think that picture does make a case for him being a liar about seeing his wife kill his babies. Would he be smiling like that the next day when he discussed his family?

The only way I can understand that big ol smile, is if he is relieved that he is finally free from being a responsible family man.
