Regarding what I said about seeing the map on AB, I can't find it. But he traveled from Frederick, passed Hudson, and went to Roggen.

"Following that conversation, according to the affidavit, Chris Watts made the claim that his wife had killed their daughters and that he had subsequently killed her, according to the affidavit. Then, it said, he loaded the bodies into the back seat of his work truck and took them to an Anadarko petroleum well site a little more than three miles north of Roggen in Weld County.

There, he told officers that he buried Shanann Watts and dumped the girls’ bodies into oil tanks, according to the affidavit." Affidavit: Chris Watts claimed wife killed daughters, then he killed her

Anyway, use google maps, put in hudson and Roggen, you can see that he drove east of Frederick, passed Hudson where he (IIRC) worked, kept going roughly NE to Roggen, desecrated them, returned to Hudson to work. IIRC

I think this will explain.

Colorado Court Procedure
Pretrial Conference
Most criminal cases are settled by agreement before they ever reach a jury trial. The pretrial conference is an opportunity to negotiate a possible resolution that is acceptable to both the prosecutor and the defendant. At the same time that these plea negotiations are occurring, the attorneys from both sides may be making requests for court orders from the judge in preparation for a possible jury trial. A pretrial conference, also called a status conference, helps the attorneys to work the case towards resolution. If a plea agreement is reached, it may be accepted with a guilty plea at this stage.

I think it is in everyone’s best interest to have no trial.

What would he plead guilty to? Killing SW? Killing them all? Would they accept a plea of just killing SW?

Would they accept a non premeditated?

If he has to plead premediatated, is that LWOP?

What if he gets a non premeditated, what would the sentence be!

Of course I would not and I would rather want other people to believe I had a nice life and everything was always fine... ;)
I don't know why she uploaded some of the videos. What would the VIs say? Are some of them still around?
Maybe it was something she just used to get used to after a few years. Perhaps she lost or never had the feeling how important the privacy of her family (especially her kids) were. That seems to be a common problem nowaday. But if she treated Chris bad on and off the camera I would expect him to end this tragic situation for him and to leave her. They were even still intimate with each other... I mean that wasn't something I would still do with somebody who "mistreated" me in some way.

Some men have sex with anyone.

Why take the bottom?

He still could’ve pinned her to the bed & killed her there. It doesn’t mean she slept there. I think she was furious & slept (or stewed) on the couch. JMO

Regarding the media interviews, did they just ring his bell and start asking questions? (which he was all to happy to lie about, er, answer, of course). Did they call and make a reservation? IMO Was he just standing outside while lying to friends, and media drove up?
I wonder too, one of "the" interviews the journalist said I was surprised when you answered the door, the way she said made me wonder if it was not planned or if she had knocked on the Thayers for info and he answered there. ?

I wouldn't be surprised to learn this whole thing began right when SW got home.
Which could be why he didn't appear to know about the dr appt on monday. IMO

Ah, I missed that. Thanks.

I'd be happy with no trial assuming he admits to murdering the children. But if it's some plea deal that leaves ambiguity about their murders, no way.

I would not think so, the oil site is directly east of the house on the highway they lived on (52), the airport is south east of the house, I'd guess E470.

There is a highway between the oil site and airport (76), those three make a triangle, house one corner, oil on another corner and airport the other.

ETA I cannot imagine what was going through his mind picking his dad up, knowing SW took that same highway home a day or two ago knowing she was dead. Chilling.
No soul, no conscience, just pure malignant evil.

What i find interesting is how he disposed of the bodies.....there must be a reason he took the time and effort to bury SW instead of placing her in the tanks with the girls. I feel sick just typing that about 2 innocent little girls....

Not sure if that has been discussed or adressed yet but there is no way I can go back through every thread to catch up on what has been covered!
It's very hard to keep up! These threads move fast! It's been noted before that it would be very difficult for him to have gotten Shannan's body up the steep steps leading up to the top of the tank. Even if he could have done that, her body would not have fit through the opening in the top of the tank. The girls' bodies would have barely fit through that opening.

I was looking for something specific, and looking at Old articles and came across this. I did not realize that the neighbor two doors down goes to work at 3:30 in the morning? I had not seen that. Only the neighbor that was going to work out early in the morning. Interesting. And perhaps he wasn't going to work that day of the killings, but he was this Monday morning in the article.

Frederick coping, uniting, after triple homicide

For C****** H********, who lives two doors down from the Watts home, the presence of news crews serves as a constant reminder of what happened.

"People are just parked outside all the time," she said. "It reminds me of it every day."

While she, too, knows people are doing their jobs, it's clear the large media presence has been a stress on the neighborhood.

H's husband left for work at 3:30 a.m. Monday and television news vans were already outside, setting up for the morning broadcast. H* has come home to find her driveway blocked by cars, leaving her to figure out if the vehicles belonged to reporters or visitors to the memorial...

Same, or even before she got home.

Would you videotape yourself saying mean things to your husband for the world to see?

When I take photis or videos, I edit them. I want them to look good and capture the fun moments or beauty.

If I take a picture of the interior of my house, I edit out something I may not realize was there such as some crumbs or a dead insect.

I think most people try to present the best.

Their videos are something else.

But saying that she was "mean" to her husband is an opinion and is subjective. She may not have edited it out because she didn't think she was being rude. I don't think she is, either.

Not necessarily. He could've planned to bury them all. When he found how difficult and time consuming it was he had to use what was available. He was up against a hard deadline, he had to be at work on time.

I’d like to propose an alternate timeline:

2 AM SW arrives home & a discussion (perhaps confrontation if she had learned of AP) occurs.

Considering the time, the couple tries to get some sleep (perhaps CW in bed, SW on the couch since they’ve argued—hence her phone in the cushions).

4 AM (ish) CW gets up to get ready for work as usual. Something happens (I’ll leave this vague as we all have varying theories).

5 AM CW is in a panic & quickly makes the decision to get rid of the bodies & worry about the rest later.

5:15 AM He is seen by a neighbor loading his truck.

5:30 AM He leaves for the CERVI site (about a 45 min drive).

6:15 AM CW disposes of the bodies

Fits regular time they get up too

Yes thank you Pommy! I had this very thought dixie. Why did he say NOTHING was there? Basically everything was there except the people. Very important things that most people would take with them even if they were just leaving for an hour or two. Also I counted... he says the word "like" at least 32 times. Wow

You couldn't make this story up if you tried. It's beyond bizarre.

Yes! IMO & JMO if SW for some reason asked to talk to the girls & he didn't allow it, I believe this did start before she got home.
