I measured a 6 year old, head, shrugged slumped shoulders and hips, all would (barely) fit through 8". That said this child is 2 years older than those lil angels, but while standing up straight and proper the shoulders would not fit. IDK, maybe I'm just looking for some comfort about breaking bones.....
I think as long as there would have been no rigor mortis he would have been able to lift up the arms and maneuver the shoulders so they would fit. A poster tried it as a game with an eight year old, I believe, to see if she could wiggle herself through a cut out hole, and she was surprised that she could. She described the child as a small eight year old. Jmo

I wonder if he did some rough calcuations (or maybe more than "rough" calculations) to account for the weight of each little girl, the volume of oil in each tank, factored in approximate evaporation (if any), etc. when devising his plan. JMO.

Jeez. Ugh. So calculating!

To be fair that doesn't necessarily mean he heard it officially.

ETA: Deleted my edited response as I didn't read your post correctly.
I think he is closer to the source than anyone else we have heard from..

haha, that gave me a good chuckle! It would be expected from an innocent person....clearly CW thought he could follow such a path and lie his way through it.
To be honest I would advise even an innocent person to ask for a lawyer before being questioned.

IDK. I wish I could remember the name of the poster, they included a description of the sensor model for overhead tanks, which, IIRC has something like a simple lead weight on a chain connected to digital scales/readouts. I might have that wrong, it was a good technical post, I wish I would have saved it.

So then in your opinion respectfully if he knew the oil tank site so well why place SW in a shallow grave? He would have understood that she would not fit bc of size of thief hatch or oil displacement . He also knowing this was not imo trying to hide odor since this fear would seem retroactive leaving SW out of tank.
I really don't know. Maybe he had intended to bury her somewhere else or do a better job and he ran out of time. Maybe he had planned to dismember the body and he did not have time. Maybe he was planning on moving the body at a later time. My guess is as good as yours! Why do you think he buried her there?

Even better .... Ask me anything you wish, I have nothing to hide.

*scurries to corner*

Yes!

I was just trying to give an example of if you are guilty as to what somebody should do and...

Yes, I remember that. Was it about three threads ago? Isn't there a way to search that's supposed to be easy? I myself have never tried, but yes, it was very informative and explained how the levels would trip off the alarm.

the 3 hours lost to airline delay may have changed all his plans.

That is possibly true. Especially if he had already killed the children.

I can't even remember the name of the poster. It was someone who hasn't been around in the last few days or longer. I could search my own posts as I answered the poster on that post, but I don't have time tonight. If I can do it tomorrow I will repost the link. IIRC they really emphasized how delicate and sensitive the sensors are. It was part of a larger discussion on why he would use 2 tanks instead of one.

Well these tanks have standard sized man holes and from what I found, they were 18” to 21” diameter. I’m not sure where the 8” diameter came from.
CERVI 319 appears to be a typical crude storage tank (API12F) which would have both a thief hatch, and manway or clean-out. The specifications or design code was uploaded in prior thread. (Tanks for hazardous liquids (crude oil) are regulated per US Code of Federal Regulations).

Imo I’m uncertain as well so I like to hear theories . I was wondering if they were apart from the mother because he did not want them with her for some reason.

I'm guessing he put the girls in the oil to destroy any evidence that would prove he murdered them.

Like what reason would he not want her with the kids? Other than not fitting in the 8" hole? And running out of time for a proper hole to bury her in?

Hi Fuelflea, Welcome, your first post. :):):):)
I agree, he was probably physically exhausted but his mind would be so busy, planning his next steps, so 'dreamt about this continually'.

<modsnip - quoted post has been removed>.
Agree. Its possible some people may have an agenda against SW and it must be very hurtful for her family and friends to read it. I'm glad this is a pro-victim site and that posts are monitored <modsnip - no need to reference other forums or sites>.

Not unless it was an official disclosure. It doesn't appear that it was and it may not have been actual officers leaking that info? It could've simply been incorrect and I believe it was incorrect.
Oh, ok, so maybe the reporter was actually incorrect. It seemed to spread to other news sources fast and then there was no more mention of it. It just seems pretty irresponsible for a reporter to say that "according to two LE officers he confessed to the murder of all three" and then never make a correction. Especially with so many reporting the same thing. Jmo

Technically, the kids were apart from one another, as they were in separate tanks.
