I was going to say “plenty of men kill their wives” but not full blown family annhilation.
Exactly. It does happen, but unless there is evidence to the contrary, I like to play the odds.

Marli can the guys go out to the sites at 3-4 in the morning if they want? All night long?
They probably could but I doubt if they would want to be out there in the dark.

Was it CW's job to fill the tanks, or remove oil from them? Or some other sort of maintenance?
No. Mostly maintenance, although he may have been present when the oil tanker trucks came to pick up the oil.

i know headlights would attract attention, i just wonder why he waited until 5:30 to leave. I really do think he did it all as soon as she got home, if not the kids earlier.

I tend to agree.

That looks like much wider than 8 inch diameter.
Actually it's not. See page 15 - detail (drawing) of thief hatch which is drawing to the right of tank lid. (You may have mistaken hatch opening for the drawing of complete tank lid/top).

Three possibilities:
1. It simply took that long to get everything in order.

2. This crime was one of passion, and it occurred later on.

3. He was concerned about his neighbor’s camera capturing him leaving at an unusual time (if he was even aware of it).

Ha! I actually watched that movie tonight for the first time when it aired tonight. Not ashamed to say... I belted that song out. What is this thread doing to me? Lol!!! ;):)

I have a vague recollection that NA, upon seeing SW's car in the garage, canvassed the neighborhood on foot for possibly 1.5 hours after first calling CW.

He was unconcerned until NA informed him she was calling the police.

Open to corrections.

Yes, CW, mental giant that he is, had to come home, and "pretend" he was worried. I think SW told Nickole her marriage was over. Perhaps, N was supposed to help her pack that day. Maybe things were going bad at home, but SW never believed CW would kill her. N is lucky she called the police, I seriously wonder if CW would have killed her as well.

Yes. And I bet he thought he was so clever, having that great 'alibi' that he was at work, when his family 'ran off.'

And he probably didn't think anyone would even bother to look into those tanks.

(I keep thinking about how long, far, high and wide people would be searching right now, all the terrains and places but no way we would have ever found them in those tanks.)
(ETA: of course I/we would’ve wondered about the tanks due to awareness space, etc but ykwim! No amount of grid, ground, drone, air, dog searches would have ever found them there (eta: though I do think Shanann might have eventually been found there if he didn’t have a chance to move her).

I really wonder if he thought to himself well before he killed his family, maybe in the weeks/months prior, “this would be a great place to hide my dead family”.

Ronso! Hi friend!!

I would like to know what time NUA first communicated with him that day and what one he arrived home. What span of time was that.

Shanann's appt was for 10am. When she failed to show, NA started calling and texting. When she got no reply she went over to the house and feared SW was passed out inside, so she called CW and asked him to come home. Then she called LE, who arrived before CW. So, a fairly rapid sequence of events.

I hope NUA is holding up as best as possible, as well as Shannan’s family and friends.

Perhaps, like Scott Peterson, he watched some 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 movies.

SP isn't the only one. Pistorius looked at 🤬🤬🤬🤬 the night he murdered Reeva. Whatever turns you on.

5 things in gratitude...
1. Adjusting to being a cat owner with these rescue kittens. They've developed allergies so I had to bathe them. Gave them some tuna and they snuggled in to dry off in my lap. They trusted and forgave me. Cats aren't meant to be bathed. They love water though. :)
2. Never thought I'd be that guy in number one but I am and that's ok
3. Maintaining my 4.0 in my major and it's a struggle right now.
4. Figured out new ways to cook chicken... cause it's on sale lol
5. Exchanging opinions. And views. It's important.

Helps to find at least 5 things of gratitude a night for me.

Sweet dreams or no dreams at all. Keep Shining like Shanann.

My timeline shows NUA talked to CW at around noon and LE showed up around 1:40. CW showed up shortly after that, but not sure when. So, 1.5 to 2 hours is my estimate.

I strongly believe that they would have been found in due course.

I think that LE would have been on to him right away, and would have followed his phone data, GPS, video evidence, and things I’m not even thinking of, right to those tanks.

I agree with you. I think at some point in the past, he looked at those tanks and the seed was planted.
