Shan'nan would have had an easy time relocating her business to her family's home. And she would have received help with housework and loving childcare. This might very well have been what she told him that night, OK, bye bye, you and the AP, hope it goes great for you. I don't think a separation or divorce would have hurt her bottom line. She really didn't need him anymore, and he knew it, IMO. He knew he would have to share the little bit of home equity they had with her, and might very well have been proud occupant of the nearest long term flea motel. He knew the AP wouldn't go for that.

Would she be able to get health insurance? I think with all of her issues, it may be impossible or are the preexisting conditions still not allowed to be denied?

Why should a criminal have a right to keep his visitor log private? I am not an advocate for prisoners, who are living rent free, free meals, free everything, having the ability to dictate anything or have any control.

He should have gratitude he even gets visitors. No doubt women, who agree with his version of the story.

It has to do with assuring he gets a fair trial. They don’t want the prosecution or public to see, for example, that a psychological expert has come in to evaluate him (this is just an example). It could taint a future jury pool or give the prosecution a “preview” of defense strategy. JMO

I agree. I also thought conversations with visitors were recorded. I guess they aren't.

I would assume that defense team, and experts, would not be recorded as they are work product.

As to normal civilian visitors, they would most likely be recorded in my opinion. It's just they aren't going to be released unless it's going to go through the court to do so in addition to the logs is my understanding.

All of them would be * recorded * on the login sheet as to who is visiting them. And this information /recordings can be redacted at a later date. Moo

That is why I think the original motion was primarily for the defense attorney experts. Is because their Communications would be kept confidential in the first place, but the *login sheet itself* would not. So they wanted the login sheet itself kept from the prosecution.

With so many dependents she would be able to get ObamaCare subsidies and pay very little, IMO. Remember Ocare disregards pre-existing conditions, rightfully and logically so. She would probably be paying little rent, no mortgage, few utilities and she would be better off financially and emotionally away from someone like CW who was into playing around instead of making a solid marriage with children.

Interesting read about Apple watches, being able to track movements and possibly exonerate SW from that ridiculous story about her killing the children.

A cynical side of me, just can't believe that this family took out bankruptcy, less than 3 years ago (2015?), and yet they are living pretty well, Apple watches, private nursery school, new cars, fancy house.

CW made $65,000 a year. That covers the basics, without a lot left over...SW was earning more, based on sales, but this can fluctuate. And the HOA fees, were being ignored. Interesting.

I don't understand folks who live in debt, it is tremendous pressure to maintain that facade. At some point, everything crashes.
@mickey2942 From my research, bankruptcy statistics are alarming and the past few decades have seen a dramatic rise in the number of people who are unable to pay off their debts with poor and excess use of credit being partly to blame.

Some people simply can't control their spending. Credit card bills, installment debt, car and other loan payments can eventually spiral out of control, until finally the borrower is unable to make even the minimum payment on each type of debt. If the borrower cannot access funds from friends or family or otherwise obtain a debt-consolidation loan, then bankruptcy is usually inevitable.

She's not going to visit him in jail, IMO. Why would she do that?

That's what I'm saying, it would be ludicrous but crazier things have happened

I keep reading that preexisting conditions may be revoked. That insurance may go back to the way it was. You will be denied and put on risk unless you are on a group plan at a job. This has not happened but will? Not sure.

The kids would be under his plan as part of a divorce decree, I would imagine. She would be on her own.

They absolutely would be recorded. MOO
Thanks MerryB! Do they only record conversations with people other than his defense team?

I always had thought a person can only declare bankruptcy every seven years. Is this false?

Edit to add to my original post:
I think the size of the lawn mower and cost of the lawn mower was the least of their financial worries. For all we know, the lawn mower could have been a wedding gift, a gift from one of their parents, a sale purchase, bought second hand and/or bought through monthly payment plan.

As far as I know ObamaCare is still available throughout the country, or similar state-sponsored programs. It would be sad in America if a woman and her 3 children have to stay with a cheating man just because his employer furnishes family insurance. If she had left before he murdered her, she would have had continual coverage if it had factored into some other coverage that discriminated against those with pre-existing conditions, other than Ocare.

She's on the witness list, IIRC, why would she visit? Anyway let's cyberbet a whole lot that she wishes she had never laid eyes on him.

Question, and I apologize in advance because I'm fairly certain this was already answered. Was the bankruptcy under both of their names and was it after they purchased the house?

@human

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy– If you need to file for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy after you have filed a previous Chapter 7 bankruptcy and received a discharge, then you need to wait 8 years from the date you filed your previous Chapter 7 bankruptcy. If you file prior to the 8 years, then you will be denied a discharge.

I thought SW and/or CW only filed for one bankruptcy?

Most states have a prenatal insurance option, for pregnant women. SW may have qualified, with a spend down. Or as many people who are self employed qualify for public assistance, by making everything they have a "business expense", so on paper, they barely have $300 a month income. Crazy. I saw a woman, real estate agent, driving leased Cadillac Escalade, every dime was accounted as a "business expense". She had her kids on Medicaid and food stamps for years!

Is the 23 hours a day in his cell with nothing forever until he is convicted? What in the heck does he do all day?

Yes, he may deserve it, but I am wondering how anyone can survive that. Is this standard? A person, not him, could be innocent and they would get the same treatment? Scary.

Sources close to Mr Watts claim he is “not doing well”.

“The gravity of the situation has hit him like a ton of bricks. Depression is setting in, and he’s despondent,” the source said.

Guards check on him every 15 minutes to ensure he is alive and are constantly checking his cell to ensure he isn’t hiding anything with which he could harm himself.

He is allowed an hour a day where he showers and can call his family and lawyers.

“He sleeps all day and isn’t really talking to anyone, including his family”.

‘Killer dad’ is on suicide watch
