This list doesn’t prove he’s a family annihilator. Without knowing more I can’t say for sure.
jmo

No. But it's about the odds. That's a lot of coincidences. He's not been charged with five counts of first degree murder on a lark.

But those specific traits (not having friends, being quiet, etc) are pretty much standard with family annihilators.

My point is that it doesn’t prove he is. I’m willing to bet there are more people with those specific traits that aren’t family annihilators than are.

Absolutely true. But this VI didn’t speak just highly of him, she attacked SW.

Because these people are anonymous (and there’s of course nothing wrong with that), we don’t know the nature of their relationship to the parties involved.

They may be biased, or have a vested interest based on the closeness of their relationship.

These people should be heard, and we should make a judgement for ourselves if we are going to listen or not.

But they can’t change the facts, and we should take what they say “with a grain of salt.”

If what they say causes you to completely change your opinion of SW and CW, you are likely putting too much stock in one lone source of evidence. JMO.

It's interesting. I didn't see any attacks towards SW from the VI. I saw someone who didn't say glowing things, but not an attack or even disparaging. I found it refreshing and honest to hear someone talk about her in a way that made her sound more like a regular, flawed human. It seems like often it seems people turn the dead into saints, which, imo, doesn't honor the person they really were.

Now, with that said, being cruel and dishonest about a deceased person isn't okay. Some things can just be left unsaid, as they aren't kind nor helpful, but I think perhaps people do get so caught up in not "speaking ill" that they end up not speaking truth.

I don't have any idea about the truth in this case. I just don't think every non-glowing statement is an attack.

And how many of those people are sitting in jail with 5 first degree murder charges?

Do we have evidence the Watts were currently unable to pay their mortgage/bills? I think I missed something. Did something new come out about their finances?

Yes. And they also don't have dead families nor are they charged with murder.

How many people have been charged with family annihilation murders and have been found innocent or had their charges dismissed? Any? At all?

FHA Mortgage Loan Payment Calculator | What's My Payment?
Interesting tidbit if we plug in a rough estimate of a 15 year mortgage with 3.5 interest(the best) with the lowest down payment (assuming bc bankruptcy so not lots of time to save) we calculate property taxes at $4000 ( I guessed low if you know exact amount you can refigure, I did not include homeowners insurance cost) $3409 a month . Then his income after taxes $65000 taxes married would be about $51000 (basing federal 15% fica 7.65 %state 4.63%) $4250 would be (assuming no other cost deductions ) monthly income
He would be left with a little over $800 from his income. Now we have Lexus insurance, homeowners , family clothing , private schools, eating healthy groceries cost more, medicines and co pays, gas, phones , utilities, WiFi, travel expense for both of them and her trips individually... assuming Lexus lease amount 100 percent covered. There is a likelihood in my opinion things could be financially strained. Her expenses although tax deductible would be a write off towards her tax owed, therefore costs would be upfront .
We don't know SW's income or potential income, yet. But what you have provided sounds like good evidence for why CW would fit the family annihilator profile. Thank you.

FYI, SW stated her car allowance covered insurance for the car as well. And she said her work vacations were fully covered by the company.

$3000 a month is a huge chunk of his income ($61k gross).
What is the percentage of your income that is usually suggested not to exceed for rent or mortgage? I can't remember. But 3000 does seem like an awful lot. They also recommend putting down a certain percent and if that's not possible, look for something that suits your budget. I know my accountant told me once but I can't recall! But I know she never would have advised putting so little down that the mortgage would be that high. Jmo

No. We have no new details as to their financial situation.

I do see it as relevant however, as financial woes tend to be part of the motive when guys like this, commit crimes of this nature.

The only thing I heard that they hadn't been paying was the HOA. Iirc they were set to go to court about it.
I wonder if the family resolved that situation and are keeping up the house payments or if the mortgage is now behind tho since CW was arrested.

This is pure speculation on my part about father/son relationships and not sleuthing CW's dad as I know nothing about him - disclaimer.

If no one knew CW very well, if he kept his inner feelings mostly to himself and was pretty agreeable and quiet on the surface, maybe he was closest to his dad. A lot of adult sons look up to their dads, want to be like them and/or please them, can't bear to let them down. Confide in them about man stuff.

His dad flew out there to support him so clearly they had been in contact since SW and the girls went missing. He had to have told him something. I think he played completely innocent with his dad until the last minute. I still think he was hoping to get away with it and have all of this (including his wife & girls) just go away.

I think once LE cornered CW and he had to confess to some involvement, he wanted to break his "truth" of having to defend his children, not having a choice, whatever his least damning and self-damaging version was to his dad instead of having LE's version and 1st degree murder charges hit him cold after CW was arrested and not able to talk to him.

I don't have any idea what his family believes now and wouldn't speculate on that, but I don't think his dad had any idea what was going on any more than anyone else before that conversation CW requested at the police dept.

ALL JMO.

EDITED TO ADD: I really feel for CW's dad. I can't fathom what it must have felt like at that moment to find out that you've lost your granddaughters, your pregnant daughter-in-law at your son's hand, and in a lot of ways your son because things will never be the same again. What a massive ton of bricks. Just tragic. Horrific.

Good insights, thank you.

Friends? Why would they be talking with an attorney about not saying they knew CW and he was a good guy?
What would they have to lose if they were confident that their friend was telling the truth?

I mean that's the point. It's basic logic. The traits don't prove anything. They just support the madness of these cases and that seemingly normal men with no signs of the horror to come, commit such shockingly violent atrocities. And there's no way to predict it or prevent it.

I don't think most of us want to hear that or believe it. It's too scary.

We are going around and around -

"I don't think he's a murderer because he was reported to be such a great dad and a nice person."

"Yes but those are the very traits of a family annihilator."

"Well that doesn't prove he is one."

No but it does show why his reputation doesn't DISPROVE his commission of these crimes.

Hi everyone! AB did a bit recently about the videos that were posted by SW per month, starting I think in May. Lots & lots as you can imagine. There were a few, way less I think, when she went back to NC. But interestingly, when CW showed up for that last week, she didnt post any videos at all during that time. Not one. Zero.
If true I wonder why.

Do we know.... did CW stay with his family when he visited NC for that week? And SW and the girls at her family's? Did CW stay where SW and the girls were staying? Maybe one of the V1's know... TIA !

ETA....were they basically estranged at that point? We know he was distant and someone (SW?) talked of a separation. I suppose it doesn't make much difference now, but I wonder why no videos of CW back together with the family after 5 weeks apart. So maybe not such a happy reunion. And where, then, did everyone stay?

I believe one of our VI's @Colorado303, indicated that the information regarding FB posts was inaccurate. There were posts/videos added during this time-frame, but they have been removed.

I would be afraid to speak out for CW if I was a friend of his. People are so mad and upset pertaining to this tragedy they might attack a so called friend of CW. No way would I say anything.

Nothing. In fact HE would gain. The defense would want people to talk highly about him in public.

It is very doubtful that any of those friends have talked to him since his arrest. So what could they possibly say to incriminate him that others haven't already said, like Nickole and the Thayers?

Which one of the people who have spoken out this far have been attacked?

The only friend of either of them I've seen attacked has been NUA.

I don't think suggesting SW might have faked her or her children's illnesses or their extent is saying she was just like everyone else, IMO. But I am also glad people speak their truth.

Maybe his talk about selling had nothing to do with finances? I can't help but to wonder if there was some other reason he would have brought this up.

He had all the lights on one night and the next he was staying with friends. Imo he didn't want to be in the house any longer....maybe? And maybe they were always planning to sell since SW had already told some they were separating, perhaps this was their plan before that night. Just brain storming
