I have always believed that she was killed in her bed and he just wrapped her up in the bottom sheet that she was lying on.

That's what I always believed too. But now I am wondering if may be he took those sheets and bedding off himself because he had the AP over, before his wife arrived back home. And maybe he didn't want to have that on the bed when he reported his dead family missing the next day.

Good work tracking down all the seating areas in the house! I think it may be confusing that there are two black leather sofas but the difference I see between the downstairs one (linked below) and the one in the loft (AB video) is that there is white stitching in the downstairs one and it is a bit curvier and less square (unless my eyes are deceiving me?)
Shanann Watts

Thank you Mo! Yes I agree that curvy one (perhaps it's a reclining sofa?) with the stitching is downstairs. That's the leather set I had seen before so when I only read the AB notes (without seeing her video) I was wondering if AB got it wrong. But it does indeed look like they owned two different leather sofas. Now I just want to see a better view of the the boxy loft one. I'm still pondering AB's theory that the phone could not have accidentally slipped between the cushions. Hmmm....

I have always had the feeling that those bed linens were taken off and put in the trash by SW when she realized AP had been in her bed during her absence...
and that's when it all kicked off.

The tests do have to be ordered by a judge, and there does have to be a reason: the person's mental state must be at issue in the case. So basically, tests cannot just be ordered for no reason or to try and prove something that doesn't exist. And most definitely (I know others had asked), no test will be ordered post-mortem to "diagnose" SW. The poor thing, man. Can't catch a break even in a grave...

If they go with the Death Penalty, they will order mental health evaluations though, correct? Or is that just sometimes...

These players only seem to be able get women when they pretend to be Prince Charming and make false promises of living happily ever after. Interesting, isn’t it?
A guy I know says women at his work were only interested in him once he was married, he always wore his wedding band!

CW was sending mixed signals in all directions, imo, SW, AP, work colleagues and everyone else.
He also was deceiving his children, a parent has to keep their young children safe from harm as much as humanly possible, whether they verbally make that promise or not.

That would be risky, but he has taken greater risks. If that had happened, do you think that he would made the bed up again before she came home.
My boss' wife first suspected an affair when she came home after one night away and he had washed the sheets and they were in the dryer and said that he spilled a cup of tea on them.
He had never washed one thing in their whole twenty year marriage and did not ever drink tea in bed.

I am hoping, it will create a film, like a thickening, an adhesive, around the body, and preserve what is on the skin: perhaps for a short time.
As putting on a film of 'glad wrap' or similar.
When applying oil, to your body: the grime and muck beneath remains, if not initially washed off.:)
It would be just great, if the oil did something similar.
I have no experience in this. MOO.
Hi just jumping in here, trying to catch up. Maybe someone has already added this but just in case, several threads ago someone who was familiar with these oil sites said that this type of oil is very liquids (thinner than water I think s/he said?)... not the type of thick syrupy tarry oil I had been imagining.

It doesn’t work according to the affidavit.

On the initial search on day 1, those sheets were observed on the floor of the bedroom.

When police took custody of the house, they were found in the trash.

At the dumpsite, a matching sheet was located. So whatever happened that night, and whatever the purpose of that sheet, he took it to the dumpsite.

Or had just made up to the loft landing 3 minutes after entering the front door and ambushed on the way to the girls rooms.
Or maybe after he killed SW (in their bed), he packed everyone up in the truck, grabbed her phone, went and lay on the loft couch, deleted a bunch of FB posts and incriminating texts between them, and took a nap until it was time to leave, leaving the phone between the cushions.

I never thought to consider that the bedding could have been on the floor earlier, before SW arrived home. It's a possibility. SW was away for a few days. And if CW had become increasingly agitated in the days leading up to her murder, or even fantasized about it, I could see him not being inclined to keep the house tidy. He might have not even cared if the bedding was all over the place, if he knew he was going to annihilate his family. Jmo

From watching SW’s FB videos, I got the sense that she did not love him. How do you know she loved him?
I'd have to furnish a hundred links to tell you all the reasons I believe that. I believe she loved him because I've listened to the friends who knew them and am looking at everything as a whole. One example is from this video I summarized a while back (this is just a portion of the summary):

At the same time she was in this bad place, she says, "I met my Chris." She says that he's been the best thing, besides her children, that has ever happened to her. He understood her struggles, was okay with her cancelling dates or reservations last minute because, "ten minutes ago I felt amazing, and then ten minutes later I didn't."

She believes that things happen for a reason and that God works in mysterious ways. She believes he places people in our lives at the right time. Her struggle that year helped her see her husband. She initially ignored his friend request, deleting it - fast forward 6 months to when she was diagnosed with her health challenges...he sent her another friend request and she said, "What the heck. We're never going to meet, it's just Facebook, right?" And they met, and they fell in love and she says, "I couldn't ask God for a better man in my life because he's so supportive. He takes care of me, he's becoming funnier…” “he's sexy, he's good looking and he does take care of our girls. He's probably the best father I could have asked for, for my children."

Being a liar isn't proof of murder. The videos don't prove CW lied about what he saw on the monitor nor do they prove he murdered the children. That is a pretty serious burden of proof. JMO
being a liar isn't proof of murder but the crucial part missing from this statement is being proven lying about your involvement in murder is rather incriminating in my eyes.

its not like we are talking about chris lying about how many burgers he ate at mcdonalds.

I am sure his defense team is consulting with mental health specialists. Although, what a psychological evaluation will really do for the defense is up in the air.

Not if she was already lying on it. I have never had any trouble getting the fitted sheet off. As soon as you release one corner, it gets slack.

Sure, but you have to do all corners. Undo the top sheet which is folded under the top mattress. Undo the blankets tucked under the top mattress, get the duvet and pillows out of the way. I just put it into a huge ball to put into the machine.

That is why I believe as you do she was in the bed rather than killed elsewhere.

Otherwise a sheet from the linen closet would be much easier

Except that they said the bed in the Master bedroom had been stripped and those sheets were lying on the floor, and were checked for signs of foul play.
The sheet he took to the tanks was obviously from another set, the mate to which was found in the trash.
The way I imagine it was that SW discovers something from AP, strips the bed , dumps everything in the trash, re- makes the bed and then all hell breaks loose.....
IMO.

Oops I thought I was quoting and replying to MassGuy.

Maybe AP served the same purpose for CW as Amber did for Scott....... these women only primed the pump for a desire to live a new life of footloose freedom.

JMO
Agree and IMO this type of man (SP, CW, etc) is incapable of loving their own children much less anyone else’s.

If he was planning on disposing of her, he wouldn't care if he had made the bed again or not.

Or maybe he didn't remake the bed, and she came up to sleep, and realized someone else's perfume or lipstick, or hair, was on the pillow? That could trigger the emotional conversation?
