I understood that Bella was to start kindergarten the following Monday, not Aug. 13.

I sure could be mistaken, though.

That's what I thought. I don't remember him saying "next" Monday. I thought it was suspicious he said "Bella WAS supposed to start school Monday." In my mind he meant the following Monday and his use of "was" meant he knew she wasn't. I thought to myself, Well how does he know she won't be at school the following Monday, that's a week away from now?

I need to go back and watch his interviews I guess and now I've confused myself on which day he gave the interviews.

But are you thinking that because he said, "...next Monday," or for some other reason?

Yes, however CW classified 'Monday' in his interview made me assume that he meant the following Monday.

IIRC, CW used a word like register or registering for kindergarten in one the front porch interviews. I ran out of data to view videos til Sunday to confirm. Anyone else recall those words?

Maybe register Monday the 13th and start school on a later day?

How about this;

The change in CW's behavior (distant, according to SW) and the closing of his FB page are markers of when his planning began. Maybe not planning anything extreme yet, but planning changes. Sometime after they get home from NC, but before SW leaves for Arizona, something happens, or is said, which makes his plans become more extreme and sets them into motion. In turn he says something to her, while she is in Arizona which causes her to not feel well and perhaps be aprehensive. The delayed flight is the final trigger, because it eliminates three or more hours he had planned on, and he probably blamed her. Now horrible things begin to happen. I believe the girls were killed first, to punish SW when she arrived home.

I also believe there are triggers, if we look for them. The first trigger was his appearance and people being more attracted to him, increasing his confidence. The second trigger was the affair. The third trigger was, coincidentally, the third pregnancy. It countered the elation of his affair and made him feel trapped. The fourth trigger was something that was said,or happened, before SW went to Arizona (Maybe she told him they needed to discuss separation when she returned). The final trigger was the delayed flight. Each trigger moved things forward and led to the next trigger until the horrible, final outcome occurred.

I mostly wrote this to get things straight in my head. And I edited it a couple of times. I would appreciate any comments.

I think this is very close to what happened. I think he at least planned to leave them when he pulled his FB page. Only difference is I believe he decided to kill them sometime before SW got home from PHX. I don’t think the late flight was a trigger, but a real wrench in his plans. That’s one of the reasons I think the girls were killed first. If they were still alive it would have made sense to wait so that he’d have more than just a few hours to cover his tracks.

Then again, looks like sense for him is in short supply. Definitely not a big picture guy.

He has been shown to be cold and calculating, and I agree, this shows up in texting his wife, before any suspicion is raised.
He has had this all planned.
I also think, he murdered the girls after the birthday party.
They were probably bagged, before SW came home.
He probably overpowered, and murdered SW, when she arrived home.
He may have struck her, as autopsy may show.
MOO.
In this way, SW would not know her kids were murdered, as letting SW see her dead children, is unthinkable.
She would also be screaming, and we have not heard this.
Surely, he can't be so evil.

the neighbour seeing him grilling outdoors on his own IMO says he had already killed the girls and was enjoying the freedom this was all purposed for. singlehood.
pretty telling (on top of his I like these t-shirts ALOT two days late performance and smirks) how he felt to have done all that and worked up an appetite .....strength building ready to do it all again when SW got home.

Idk if this is relevant but it might be. The public school near their house has a start date of Wed Aug 15th. I don't know if BW kindergarten was public, private, charter, or another accredited hybrid. This might tie into him saying register BW on Monday and start on Wed. MIGHT NOT. Doesn't matter, those 4 angels are gone.

The St Vrain Valley school website, ssvsd.org, had regular grades starting Wednesday, August 15, and kinder starting on Friday, August 17. According to one of our own sleuthers, on thread #4. It came up on a Google search. Seattle1 is the sleuther, I hope it is okay to give them credit. On the school site, kinder is for kids age 5 by October 1. So Bella had a bday coming up or an exception was made.

I think it's unclear at this time. We don't even know which school she was supposed to attend. But a few pages back in this thread someone listed all the start dates for the possible schools in the area and none started on Aug 20th. They all started the week prior. So many of us are wondering if she was supposed to start Monday Aug 13. And if that is the case, then CW was wrong or misspoke when he said "next Monday".

I searched the text and the only hit for "register" was this:

About 1:12 in the video about Bella... the reporter states to CW - ETA to add exact words: “So I read that Shanann hadn't taken the girls to school which was unusual?”... and idiot CW says: "Yeah, cuz like Bella was gonna start kindergarten next..next Monday. And they had they were just getting ready to start... start back again."

Which doesn't even correctly answer the reporter's question since it WOULD NOT BE UNUSUAL IF SW DIDN'T TAKE HER TO SCHOOL SINCE SCHOOL HADN'T STARTED YET. Maybe he was just very nervous. But I don't think the guy is all that bright.

About the kindergarten- on thread #4, one of the sleuthers here said they went to a private preschool called Primrose. I don't know if they follow the same public school schedule?

Otherwise CW would have said that Bella was supposed to start school TODAY.

Also, using the word WAS was an 'oopsie' for the murderer.

That’s what I tried to impart. She was supposedly going to private school (according to a friend she has here on Web Sleuths) because she didn’t meet the age requirements for public school, but the ones in the area all start that week too. Some had “meet” sessions that were a day or two before the first official day. Therefore/first official day very well may not have been Monday, but could have taken place on another day that week.

My guess is this would have been more of a daycare situation “Kindergarten.”’

But he knew she was supposed to have started the day before and he STUMBLES and stutters over it when he says it. “Bella was gonna start school, uh, like next, uh, next Monday. They were both getting ready to start back.” He did not confuse his child’s first day of kindergarten as happening next week. It just made things more complicated if that was clear to everyone, therefore the qualifying “they were both getting ready to start back” citing no specific day.

I’ve always been so hung up on the fact that he slipped and said WAS, indicating that she WAS never going to start because she was dead. And this AFTER he had dumped them both in crude oil being the reason for it. He totally knew what he was doing, he was just doing a piss poor job of it.

Or he started to say “she was going to start school today” and mid-sentence realized that contradicted him telling NUA they were at a play date. Thus the stammer. To me, I saw even more of a flicker in his face there than when he heard the police dogs barking inside.
