I believe this too. I think they were going strong. And I’m surprised he felt like he could hide the affair from LE considering it was a co-worker. I’m not sure any attempt was made to hide it all that well.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by the lies & shoddy coverup but it’s continually baffling to me.

I'd be surprised if other co-workers were unaware of the affair. I've seen it happen many, many times and someone always knew, sometimes many.

I saw it too. Maybe it was a reporter who assumed that all three were discovered by the drone. Was it in one of the reports by that Ashley B reporter? Maybe in the interview? I can't remember her name.

Some reporters aren’t exactly aware of real world realities. No drone can peer inside metal oil tanks, even with FLIR technology.

The site was discovered with the help of the drone. The body locations were revealed by CW. The bodies, would have been found by LE regardless.

No. But I think they suspected it at that point. They saw the sheet from the drone, and would have seen disturbed ground in the area near the tanks. They were close, and would have gotten there.

Yes, it said in the affidavit that they saw fresh dirt near the tanks. If there were no bodies, it must have crossed their mind. After all, if CW thought it was the perfect hiding place, so would they. Although they probably didnt want to believe it. Jmo

I am not sure why that is bothering you so much. One has applied as a friend, the other has applied as someone who has knowledge of the case.

got ya! It makes sense to me if there is an application process instead of the website researching and deciding where they fit because that would be different

I am still surprised that he killed the kids before he killed her. Her being absent gave him the chance, but he still took a huge risk. Our plane was once delayed from 7Am scheduled to 11 PM. Anything can happen when one is traveling. And SW was sitting in the bar and probably distracted, but what if she wanted to Facetime him and ask to look at the kids? He could have not answered, but after that many missed calls you do get anxious and call the friends or the police for the welfare check.

Another thing, I think SW probably had good intuition. She pretended to not notice what was going on, but I wonder if she said something very direct to NUA. Not just that Chris was distant, but something about her fears. Because there was a very concrete fear that NUA exhibited. Either she knew CW very well, or she heard something from SW that truly scared her.

Regarding SW. In many ways, she reminds me of people in one of my family lines. That whole line had amazing social skills. When @Colorado303 mentioned the amount of people who attended SW's funerals, I remembered the crowds, too.

I can see the control factor, and good manupulating skills, and ambition as well. And the ability to be a good vendor. My family would never get into bankruptcy and women found much better spouses than CW, but I can project certain traits.

One thing I can say - such women usually have great maternal instincts, because they are warm and in touch with their emotions. They might exploit their husbands, it is true, but driving them to murder - sorry, it does not happen. That was CW's own invention.

That's what I have been thinking about. Based on the thousands of pictures, she brushed their hair and put their hair in pigtails or ponytails often. I'm sure she touched their necks everyday just in getting them dressed and doing their hair.

Yes, DNA would be expected from both parents, I assume as with any case of a family member killing another. I'm not sure that the DNA, if found, would prove. Unless it's found under the nails, I guess. Jmo

Also, both girls would have had to have been in the same bedroom were this version of events true, but they each had their own rooms. How did they end up sleeping in the same room, unless he had set it up the way as he was the one who put them to bed?

The baby monitor can toggle between each of the 2 bedrooms.

There's "something" about the baby monitor but it's not his version that's for sure.

We still don’t know the order of the killings. There is no evidence to indicate that the kids were killed prior to Shanann’s arrival.

It’s entirely possible, but we just don’t know.

There is no difference. We have verified insiders and verified experts. Verified insiders are usually friends or family. Verified experts can be attorneys, medical doctors, psych experts, forensic specialists, etc.

I think it’s odd that it was requested for DNA to be examined from the girls by the defense. It seems if they would be bold enough to emphasize that, that he may have “thought ahead” in thinking he could outsmart experts with yet another one of his series ot blunders.

I agree. Since it was the weekend, too, there's a chance that the girls didn't really bathe between her leaving them and returning. We let things slide on the weekends and then I generally let them take baths or showers on Monday morning before going to school. Plus, if I bathe my daughter then I scrub her neck, really wash her scalp, etc. If my husband gives her a bath then it's more like he just turns on the water and lets her hop in. Her lower half winds up coming out looking clean, but her upper half doesn't change. All of that is my way of saying that if SW touched their necks, fixed their hair, kissed their skin etc. before she left, there's a good chance that the DNA would still be on them a couple of days later. A good DA could definitely argue that, depending on what they find.

Ab had a dude on that said they can differentiate between normal family touch DNA and strangulation touch DNA, it would be more concentrated, something along those lines.

Well, yes, one might be a friend or one can just be a local who is familiar with the case. I think it could be a relative, too. But they can also choose not to reveal what they are, if I understand correctly.
