I believe the AP being married began as rumor. Ive never seen it legitimately confirmed.

Oh my bad then. I don't know why I thought this was fact.

Lol at spaghetti. So she takes the bottom sheet off the bed to use on the couch and tells him to remake the bed for himself? o_O Why wouldn't she get clean sheets from the linen closet for herself instead of taking the one he had previously slept on and gotten his body sweat all over? I think you need to keep cooking that spaghetti, lol. It's not quite sticking for me. :p:D
You folks are so literal.

Have a drink or let me atleast enjoy mine. :)

BBM: He must be a known liar previous to the murders because he had to lie to carry on affairs, and in order to carry out those affairs undetected he must have lied to SW (possibly others too) regarding his whereabouts etc. Having an affair usually entails lying. MOO.

Right, I get what you're saying. I guess I wasn't very clear. To clarify, I realize he's a liar regarding the affair pre and post murder, but we don't know if he was prior to the affair/murders.

If he has told so many lies, wouldn't they question why they should believe him? That is exactly what the jury asked Jodi Arias: " Why should we believe you now?" It seems to be very important to a jury. Imo
We know CW lied about his affair and lied after the fact, but we have no knowledge that he was a known liar previous to the murders. Jodi lied just to lie and not just after she murdered Travis.
jmo
But these are the 'so many lies', he lied to SW while he was married, he lied on a daily basis for months, maybe years, and that's before the killings, so he is a known liar and I'd like someone to prove otherwise.

Sorry for the backtracking.......
I was reviewing the affidavit again, and have a couple of questions:

"In a subsequent interview Chris xxxxxxx (redacted) asked to speak with his Father, who was present at the police department. (Bottom of Page 2)
Chris Watts case: Read the full arrest affidavit compiled by Colorado investigators
Why was a portion of the sentence above redacted? Why was his father present at the police department- did he arrive with Chris, or was he already there? Any ideas?
How about this as the missing portion..

,on the condition that their conversation is not recorded,

Not at all Dex, just poking fun. ;)
Enjoy your drink! :)
But I expect a spaghetti dinner from you later. :D

would you agree however standing up there telling the media his family is missing DOES make him a liar and untrustworthy?

jmo
@MyBelle
this question was specific to you.
are you not comfortable replying?
or is it simply an elephant in the room for you.

you are CW'S most passionate crusader here and I appreciate your thoughts about this if you can.

Exactly MsBetsy, the monitors will play a huge role in CW's defense, it's the reason he went into a rage and entered the girl's bedroom and strangled SW to death, the monitor was the 'witness'.
CW says the children were dead, he couldn't have one alive and he couldn't be standing in the room watching SW strangle the girls. JMO
Did he atleast put on his high definition glasses before checking the baby monitor while noticing the blue color?

Because his vision may not be that good without them. Idk

I see your point. But IMO lying liars gonna lie.

Even proving he NEVER lied before the affairs...someone willing to lie to the public, police, FBI, family and friends over murders/felonies/non-missing family cannot be taken at his word when he changes the very story he was lying about to further protect himself (same reasons to lie as before).

CW is a liar, he's a deceitful person, before and after the murders, it's a fact. No one will care if he lied about trivial matters in the court of law, we're discussing known facts.

It comes down to credibility. He’s proven he will lie to save his own behind. It stands to reason then, if he pleads not guilty and this goes to trial, that he will continue to lie to try and save his own behind. His very freedom and/or his very life will be at stake. He has every reason to continue to lie.

He proved on his front porch he’s willing to do just that, so why should anyone believe him now? Nothing has changed, in fact he has even more reason to lie now. Now they have evidence against him. He needs to lie even harder.

He has no credibility. He’s not an honest, decent, upstanding citizen. He never even called 911. He was having an affair. He dumped his babies bodies in oil to hide them. He only gave this “story” when he had nowhere else to go, as LE linked him to to the disposal.

It’s not like he came forward with his “truth” of his own free will, he only presented this story when he was backed into a corner.

He gives me no reason at all to believe he’s telling the truth now.

I have wondered if he only said SW had bought it, and if maybe the AP was the actual giver of the shirt. Like posing for her, an inside secret. But maybe I'm getting too suspicious.
Or he just purchased it himself at the airport because he liked it a lot.

Cheers, its always five o' clock somewhere!
I have a feeling I'm going to say that a lot when the People Vs Watts Trial begins.

Right. Why would anyone assume he just started lying for the first time in his life when he began to have affairs? He is a grown man in his 30's. He likely has a past history of fudging the truth and seeing how much he could get away with. As time went on he may have escalated his lies and deceptive behavior because he always got away with it before. MOO.

The tests do have to be ordered by a judge, and there does have to be a reason: the person's mental state must be at issue in the case. So basically, tests cannot just be ordered for no reason or to try and prove something that doesn't exist. And most definitely (I know others had asked), no test will be ordered post-mortem to "diagnose" SW. The poor thing, man. Can't catch a break even in a grave...
Thanks, that answers my question. The last bit I pretty much knew would be the case. Never heard that one before!

Yes, and a former FBI profiler said he had arrogance and confidence to do those 3 media interviews. Most people would not be confident in their ability to lie like that. IMO it is because he had always gotten away with deception and lying in the past.

I agree. Plus, it's impossible and fruitless to try to prove a negative (i.e. "Never lying before"). IMO the prosecution will show his lies/affairs and it will be more than enough for the jury to see him as a liar. No amount of character witnesses can undo those lies and his actions taken after the murders. MOO.

I have always believed that she was killed in her bed and he just wrapped her up in the bottom sheet that she was lying on.

I agree. I think maybe the suitcase was too heavy for her to carry upstairs and she thought he was asleep upstairs and didn’t want to wake him. She could have opened the suitcase and taken out what she needed and went upstairs with the things, and her phone. I’m wondering if he pretended to be asleep and she was killed in bed, either befor or after falling asleep. In this case, the girls would likely have been killed after her. I also wonder if he didn’t later sit in the loft area to look through her phone and maybe delete some things. Running out of time, he stuck it between the cushions to deal with later that day. IMO

Right. Maybe it's just not so obvious because he is so quiet and anti-social. It seems not many knew him well.
