In the last thread we were talking about why CW went to NC for that last week and what he might have told his AP about it. Was it always in the plan for CW to travel there for one week?

Interestingly in this May 5th video SW gives their schedule for the upcoming summer:
Shanann Watts
And she does NOT mention Chris will be joining them in NC for a week.
She says she is going to San Diego with Chris June 22-26.
Chris asks her something and she says "No the 26th we come home at 1:30 in the morning".
Then she says that on the 26th at 5:30 at night she will fly with Bella, CeCe and her dad to NC.
She says they will be in NC for 6 weeks to spend time with family and friends (no mention of Chris coming for a week).
Then she says they will come back Aug 7th and she will fly to Scottsdale, AZ on Aug 11th for a mini retreat with her team. She talks about being thankful that she can travel the world and throws in that maybe one day Chris will be able to travel with her too. But no mention that Chris was planning to take a week off to come to NC.

Sooo.... Did he surprise her? Was it a last minute change for him to show up? Did SW find out about the AP while she was in NC and demand he come spend some time with his family? Or was it just an oversight on SW's part when she was rattling off the schedule? Is there anything where she says before the NC trip that CW would be joining them for a week? TIA.

Also the rest of this video is so heartbreaking in light of what has happened...
She talks about how her family is why she continues to do what she does and how she will continue fighting.
She will not let haters get in her way.
She will not let people discourage her.
She will not let people judge her or what she does.
She will continue to not let others influence her decisions on what she does in life.
She says "I will continue fighting for my children, for my husband, for myself."
And nobody is going to hold her back from her future or her kids future.
No one is going to tell her what the right way is to live life and no one is going to tell her what she should and shouldn't do for a job.
Then she encourages others and says: "do what you love and be a bad@ss at it".
Just do it, be strong, be confident and be you at the end of the day.
And she talks about how she tries to be positive even on her bad days.
Choose happiness, choose a drama-free life.
She says Colorado makes her feel like it's a drama free* life.
See feels at peace. She feels at home.
She has never given up, no matter what she went through.
She believes everything happens for a reason.
At the end she tells the story of how she met Chris again and talks about how he is the best thing that ever happened to her
There is always a plan and something good always comes out of something negative.

*Wow, she has no idea of the drama that is coming. So sad....:(:(:(

It is very sad watching the videos knowing the horrible events were looming on the horizon.

Regarding CW's visit to NC being announced or unannounced, I was able to find a June 30 post on SW's fb (see comments section). In that post, (paraphrasing) a fb friend asked if CW was either in CO, or if he was w/ SW and the girls. SW replied that CW would be in CO until July 31.

Knowing that CW was in NC for the last week of her 6 week trip, that would indicate to me that SW was aware, at least as early as June 30, that CW would be visiting NC. Jmo

I haven't learned about the blankets for the girls. This makes what I was thanking. If a murder doesn't care about the people he or she murdered they just dump the bodies along the way. But by him putting them in the oil tanks shows he didn't want to dump his precious babies. So he wraps them in their blanket...then he might have put the blankets in as well. That way he wouldn't have to look at them.
When time came for Shan'anns turn came he couldn't put her in tank, but he could bury her nearby. That way he has her near the girls and in his mind it was the thing to do. I think he had emotional connections but let things get out of hand when he killed them.
Oh, how caring of him to put his little girls in crude oil. I can't imagine a more caring father.

@PommyMommy regarding whether SW loved CW or not, you responded with "proof" she loved him. Including SW saying, "I couldn't ask God for a better man in my life because he's so supportive. He takes care of me, he's becoming funnier…” “he's sexy, he's good looking and he does take care of our girls. He's probably the best father I could have asked for, for my children."

I agree she may have thought she loved him in the beginning, but in all the things she said, she doesn't say she loves him. That's all I'm saying. Someone can be supportive, sexy, and takes good care of kids , but that doesn't equate to love, IMO

He's becoming funnier? o_O
I also said that was just one example and if I had to list all the reasons I'd have to attach 100 links. I did not call it "proof" of anything. It is my opinion that Shanann loved her husband and that is from EVERYTHING I have heard and read, not one video.

I saw no anger in that video, nor any of the ton I viewed. I also did not find her sad in that video at all. There are no signs that SW would ever harm her children. Since CW is the one that dumped them in tanks of crude oil, he is the only one I can see harming his children IMO.
I guess I wasn't clear in my post or you read something into it that was not there. I was just stating an observation. IMO I believe CW killed his entire family and by saying she looked sad in the video, did NOT mean I think she ever harmed her children.

So 2 detectives checking for signs of foul play didn't notice that a sheet was missing?

During that first walk through they were looking for SW and the girls and were only in the house with Chris' consent. I don't think they would have noted that a bottom sheet was missing because they were looking for big things like visible blood, broken lamps, signs of a struggle, any unlocked windows where someone could have gained entry, any notes she may have left, the things that she normally would take with her (phone, purse, girls' medicine), etc, etc. Without a warrant they cannot do things like open dresser drawers (without CW saying it's ok) or move furniture or collect evidence. IMO, they would do a visual inspection only and take notes of how the home looks. But they might not have picked up the bedding on the floor. I don't think they would take inventory of it if it was in a pile and didn't seem to have blood or fluids on it from a glance. The focus of the initial wellness check was on finding SW and Bella and CeCe and noting any large visual clues to where they might have gone. The more detailed search came later. JMO. I could be wrong though. :)

Continuing the deduction...

If SW was murdered in her bed, she was either ready to go to sleep, or was sleeping already when she was murdered. From this we could deduce, she either checked the girls before she went to bed and they were alright, or she didn't know they were dead.

She definitely did not strangle them, then casually went to her bed to go to sleep.

Conclusion: She did not kill the children.
Good job <modsnip - no need to tag someone when their quote is in the post>

I think the no anger post was directed at you.

Does 'I love you' mean love? Those three words could mean something or absolutely nothing, words are meaningless if they're not backed up by one's actions. CW put on a good show though.

There are many couples who live in loveless marriages and neither resort to murder. Intense hatred can be a trigger for murder, as well as wanting absolute freedom which fuels the hatred, there's the crunch.

I have said before, I believe SW loved her children more than CW, and her saying,' he's probably the best father she could ask for her children', backs that up. Imo, she would never harm her children under any circumstances.
Of course. I agree. A parent’s love is unconditional. You can’t just fall out of love with your kids, but obviously you can with a significant other.

Interesting, thank you.
I have read where there was one week he went. We see him in that one picture of them at the amusement park. So I do believe he went there but I have seen he went the first week. Then I have heard that it was the last week. Someone on this thread mentioned she was going to fly with her father and girls to NC. I wonder at what time and reason her Dad was there. Seems a bit odd for him to fly to CO then to NC - unless he knew there was problems and Shan'ann would need help to leave. IDK just brain storming

Or....he wrapped them in bedding because it was what was handy as he had a 40 mile drive to make and didn't want anyone noticing the dead bodies in the back seat?

Of coarse that is the only reason, he has removed their blankets.
To cover the kids in his truck.
Not because the kids love their soft blankets, and would like to be wrapped in them as a caring father.

If Shan'ann did kill them **AND I DON'T THINK SHE DID**they would have scratches on their necks from her hands around their necks because she has those long nails. I think it will come out they didn't.

I believe that SW's dad had been in CO babysitting the little girls while SW and CW were in San Diego compliments of Thrive.

Yes. He was simply being pragmatic, not sentimental. He didn’t want to risk being discovered.

No man who ever loved his kids, would treat their bodies like that.

Then again, no man who ever loved his kids, would strangle them to death in the first place.

SW dad babysat for them while SW and CW were in San Diego immediately prior to SW and kids going to NC. Dad accompanied SW an kids to NC.

CW was there the last week. SW's father was in CO to babysit the kids when CW and SW went to San Diego for a Thrive vacation. As soon as they returned, SW went with her father and the kids to NC. All was pre-planned. It was likely set up like this (though speculation on my part) so as to make traveling with two toddlers easier (this way she did not have to travel alone with them either way to NC and back).

The detectives may have noticed that the fitted sheet was missing but chose to hold back that information for investigative purposes.

I think that the police knew CW was a killer, 10 minutes after they checked the house, if not sooner.

I believe he went the last week & it was because they went to Myrtle Beach. That’s where the trampoline picture is from.

I don't agree with your reasoning.
CW does not care for his family.
He probably murdered them all, then discarded them, then lied and lied.
He used the blankets to cover the girls in his car.
If he was such a caring father, he would not have then, dumped them into oil.
SW being nearby, is not that he had emotional connections, for her to be with his kids.
He dug a shallow grave, for his wife, as he was there. Discarding his children, like trash, and his wife being buried. nearby is just convenience for CW.

#341 on thread #38
"We haven't seen anyone in authority validate his claims as yet. He asserts that AB and LE have seen his texts from CW( which he further states SW found on 4th July) and that he handed towels which contained CW's DNA to LE. All of those claims can easily be proved I suppose, so we shall see. Curious to know why you would save soiled towels unless blackmail is your thing..."
Is there a question?

Thank you Rainynights. Good find. June 30th was only 4 days into their NC trip. That tells me CW was likely planning on coming for a week very early on. I asked about his employer's time off policy in the previous thread and I didn't see anyone answer. Perhaps CW had to put in for time off the month before he requested it and in May he had no way of knowing if he could get the week off? Or perhaps he was always planning on joining them July 31 and SW unintentionally left that out when she was rambling off their schedule? I was actually quite impressed at how she remembered all those dates (and flight times) without looking at her calendar. I would need a calendar in front of me or I would not be able to tell you my family's schedule with exact dates and times 3 months out. LOL.
