I have my name out there so no big mystery I'm the youngest of 7 , I was born in Bronx New York, but I will tell you this the Son of Sam murderer killed a mafia daughter and my brother was on the detectives for Bronx,NY we might have our problems and I'm not proud of them but you know what we don't have this horrifuc tragedy , thank God and I hope to God and pray to God we never do so I can't even comprehend but I do study this s***. I think it stems from selfishness, and many men become abusive more so when the wife is pregnant because she's getting attention
These types of crimes can, and do happen anywhere. It can happen in the Bronx, and it can happen in Erie Colorado.

No place is immune from acts of violence, even if they are known as “safe” places.

In every crime like this, you hear the comment “I never thought something like this could happen here.”

It can, and it does.

I've always found it weird that he stated things like "telling them to eat their dinner" as something he missed because it was like he enjoyed being an authoritarian with them. Sure, you miss the little things about people when they aren't there but that just seemed off.

I absolutely agree that he was finished with that family. I think that was the impetus of the whole tragedy.

I think that he was very passive, a pleaser, maybe somewhat submissive to SW when he was interested in her physically. And at that time, he took interest in "her" children (because obviously he did not have the inner bond with them). But once he lost interest in SW, and settled on the substitution, she started irritating him, and then he was done with them all. When and how he lost interest in SW is not yet known to me, but I think, whenever he posted profile on the dating site marks the beginning of the end.

Yes, I found that weird too. I wonder if the night they were murdered the girls missed mommy and didn't want to eat their dinner? Or maybe it's a "tell" that he never gave them dinner at all that night?

I can't stop thinking there were some bits of truth in all his lies....

Maternal instinct is not a logical thing, it is an instinct. For us CW might be a horrible person, for his mom, he's her baby.

Another fact - CW's mother might have not liked her daughter-in-law. If so, it is easier for the mom to believe CW's version of the events. It is probably the only way she can think now in order not to lose her mind, because what grandmother could accept the fact that her beloved son killed her beloved granddaughters? So she is in denial, but the denial is protective. And while I don't understand CW's fan club, the mom I can always understand. Moms stand by us when no one else does.

Good points. And there could be other elements at play adding to the determination to exonerate her child.

But I have to say, you know I defended the Anthony parents for a loooong time. Despite their bizarre behavior and minimizing of their daughter's insane behavior. And later efforts to downplay.

I saw their anguished, desperate faces. Cindy Anthony trying so hard to get something from her daughter to reveal what happened to Caylee. Trying to see some sadness for Caylee. I remember her searching casey's face.

And the grandfather. His horrified crying and telling her too late that they'd take care of her and let her do what she wanted, essentially.

I think deep inside they knew. But love and fear prevented them from believing it.

Then came the trial. The defense tactic was so abhorrent to me. And Cindy continued to stand with her daughter after that. Knowing she made sick allegations against her husband.

That's when I thought that at long last, her true character was being revealed. And it wasn't pretty.

CW is logical, but seems to be lacking imagination, plus, he did not see his family for 2 months, so I would not be surprised if "telling them to eat dinner" refers straight to their last day together . This is what stood in his memory. Did he say, "telling them to brush their teeth, putting them to bed?" Doing something after dinner?

I don't remember - but maybe someone does. What was the last activity he mentioned with the girls? I bet whatever he mentioned last was their last activity together, he is so concrete.

So if he said "telling them to brush their teeth", they at least lived till brushing the teeth.

I can't view this interview one more time, but maybe someone remembers what he mentioned last?

She's been a crime journalist for ages and covered most, if not all, of the cases that grab national attention over the last several decades. She's married to a criminal defense attorney. I'm not a big fan of hers.
Pat Lalama was on the local news in Los Angeles for years before her jump to national crime reporting.

There have been a few recent cases solved by FitBit. I'm hoping SW and CW's Apple watches will be useful for the prosecution's case.

Do we know which home security system they had? We have Vivint which is similar to some of the alerts I noticed in her SM videos. Would be interested to know because the system itself will be a handbook to what happened.
I think others who have Vivint say that is what the Watts had on the inner garage door and maybe the roolup garage doors. Although they had a Ring doorbell system on the front door.

Maybe some kind of evidence was visible, or a dog alerted on it?
Maybe the beanbag had a face indentation, saliva, hair or blood on it. CW could have used it to smother one or all of them.

It was so obvious there was no truth in the allegations against the grandfather, as if Cindy said: "Say whatever you need to, no matter how horrendous, in order to get off." A despicable defense mechanism, IMO, but one that's allowed.

It's judgmental but it made me feel as if justice for Caylee just didn't really matter if she had to actually pay for it. Disillusioning.

He mentioned that the night he spent alone in the house he knew he would not be turning on their rain machines anymore in order for them to go to sleep.

I am thinking of some men I know, narcissistic, and as I can guess, with problems in youth, but who managed to heal and become successful. They love, sometimes adore, their kids because they view them as "mini-me"s. And they love kids regardless of their feelings for the women.

I wonder what was the defect in CW's ego that prevented him from loving his kids.

Thank you! So chances are, he did turn them on that fateful night. At least they were put to sleep.

BBM. I think their doorbell is from Vivint too. See previous discussion posts here:

poster the poet said this:

eeling well was worry. She arrived home, put everything down, removed her shoes and rushed upstairs to check on her daughters. It seems that CW wouldn't let her speak to the girls earlier (before she got home) and we know that SW didn't leave things lying around (shoes, purse, keys, suitcase). So, why that night? It's out of character, even if she was tired and didn't feel well! Then, CW attacks her and subdues her before she can fight back. Her phone ends up in the cushions

—————-

So I was wondering if taking off shoes wasn’t part of their family rules. I guess not

I think she left her suitcase and took off her shoes downstairs because she didn't want to wake anyone up. She is exhausted, sick and pregnant. She wants to quietly get up the stairs and get in bed. IMO JMO

I think getting her from behind would be the easiest, but isn’t sleeping on the stomach when pregnant difficult?

maybe she was sleeping on her side, with her back to him?

6. Guest, Investigator, Tom Verni explains that investigators will pore over videos, and both Prosecution and Defense will use whatever they feel is advantageous to their case. Guest Defense Attorney, Rene Sandler, explains, when she looks at videos she looks for timeline, investigative leads, and how she can get them admitted into evidence, if at all. It’s hearsay. You can’t cross examine it. It won’t come in unless it fits into an exception under the hearsay rule. It’s difficult, it’s a text by text, blog by blog analysis. AB showed blog entry where C.W. lovingly worked on Bella’s nursery, asked if the Defense could use it. LaMama said the defense has to be careful about opening a door, once it’s opened it’s wide open and it’s a free for all for all sides. They have to be tactical and strategic.

This is from Layla's notes^^^^----very interesting. It answers some of our questions about what will happen with the many videos...

There are 3 interviews.
He mentions their names but only when prompted. He mentions and lies about Bella “was” starting Kindergarten the following week, even though she was supposed to start the week they went missing.

He mentions their Disney Princess chairs where they watch Bubba Guppies and sentimentalizes scolding them to eat dinner in order to get desert. He mentions wanting them to come home to “barrel rush him” and knock him over TWICE (in 2 separate interviews)—but it didn’t happen.” Shrug.

He mentiomd that he has had the kids for the weekend when prunpted. He never calls them by name unless he has to and refers to them as “those kids” as in “I just want those kids back!”

He described their personalities (again when prompted). Cece is a “troublemaker” with 2 speeds-awake and wreaking havoc OR sleeping. She’s loud and jumps off of things. She’s like her mom (a troublemaker) while Bella is “ calm and motherly” more like him.

I think calling your 4 year old motherly above all things is weird and possibly creepy. She wasn’t necessarily “motherly” to her younger sister and they fought constantly in videos and according to SW. Bella wasn’t “motherly to CeCe so what is he referring to? She liked babies? She is a timid child but she didn’t start out that way in the earlier pics and videos. The older she became, the more withdrawn she seems to me from my observations in the chronology of her life on tape.

He claims that both kids are his life, or “those smiles are my life” more specifically. What smiles?

If my child goes missing I’m telling you she is: brunette, braids, was wearing a red t shirt when I last saw her. Not talking about “her smile” or how I turn on a rain machine for her at night! But again-we know he’s biding time so this is just filler to make him seem credibly concerned.

We can surmise that he missed doing things with them likw turning on the rain machine & stories & kisses at bedtime.
What a total, nauseating heel!

What about: “please bring my daughters home and help me find them! I love them! My wife Shannan is pregnant and could be endangered because she doesn’t have her medication and my daughters suffer from allergies and asthma!”’ But that’s what people who have truly lost their children do. He was all bluff.

He even wondered aloud if they were “huddled up somewhere”—-Huddled up somewhere? In August? Like they were freezing and forlorn little match girls?

The pathology present in his testimony to his “I want them back” charade runs deep with me.

Yes, I found that weird too. I wonder if the night they were murdered the girls missed mommy and didn't want to eat their dinner? Or maybe it's a "tell" that he never gave them dinner at all that night?

I can't stop thinking there were some bits of truth in all his lies....

Thank you as always Layla! Interesting that they brought up Shannan's baby blog after were just discussing it here. Are AB's producers reading Websleuths? Anyone want to place bets that AB's show will be discussing the significance of the emoji beanbags sometime this week? :D
