Yeah, I hope that is not a common term for it in the UK...she made it sound like it is. Sounds like a laundry stain remover.
Probably is. Where I live we do not mince words to protect the guilty.

Welcome back everyone! I think it was really interesting to learn in the last thread (for me) that some see putting the girls in separate crude oil tanks as not that objectionable (unless they were forced/adjusted). I can see it even though I do not agree with it. My next question for those who are open to CW's confession is how can he explain the lack of a 911 call to save the children? How do you think the defense will handle the lack of a 911 call? Can you understand a rage taking over a man that results in a 5 minute strangle instead of trying to help the children when SW could have been disabled in seconds? In fact, by strangling, we hear that she could have been unconscious after just 10-15 seconds. Last, do you find it odd that he chose strangulation, the same method he said SW used? Are you thinking that he wanted to give her a taste of what she had done?

To me this is the most solid evidence of guilt in my view. I’ll never get past that he didn’t get help for those kids. Call 911, hit the panic button, run to the neighbors screaming for help. Something!

I can’t believe that an “innocent” man would switch from a loving father who is so enraged at someone harming his kids, to quickly and suddenly thinking only about himself and how it might “look” to authorities. It just makes zero sense to me no matter what theories come to light.

Chris Watts Has a Family Picture in His Jail Cell, Says Source: 'He Has Nothing To do But Reflect'

His cell is no less sparse. PEOPLE has learned that the 33-year-old has just two personal effects: a Bible and a photo of his wife and children, 34-year-old Shan’ann Watts and girls Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3 — the same people he allegedly killed.

At a joint memorial service for Shan’ann and her daughters in August, she was remembered as “a woman of love.”

“She loved God, her family and her friends,” Father John Forbes told the mourners. “She was a woman of determination. She had dreams to be fulfilled, and she worked towards to those dreams. She wanted to make a difference. She wanted to be an exceptional wife and mother.”

A Bible, for goodness sake! And a photo of his family! Such hypocrisy.

Exactly. What he describes occurring, simply Does Not Happen in real life.

Unless the suspect is guilty, then it happens.

Hypocrisy, yes.

But not surprising coming from a guy who killed his entire family, dumped their bodies, and blamed his wife.

Par for the course here.

That is a big one for me. But it is a combination of this, the texts/calls to her within hours, the dumping of the whole family if he was guilty of only part, and the interviews. The interviews are powerful, IMO, for the prosecution. People like the Thayers can testify to demeaner, but to see it with your own eyes is just so compelling. He should have read a statement, tearful throughout or at least depressed. I really think he thought at that point that they would not be found, which is incredibly naïve on his part.

Makes sense and I'm sure he's familiar with motel rooms lol.:rolleyes:
Good thing I wasn't sipping coffee with that one. As it is, the dog looked at me very concerned while I cackled!

I wonder when the bottle of depression meds and sad handwritten poems will be leaked

His family members could supply him with a Bible, couldn't they?
Has anyone ever successfully committed suicide with a paper cut?
Don't know, but plenty of people have asphyxiated themselves with wadded up paper. I am surprised they gave him any book if he is still on close observation.

Yep, a Bible full of of how to kill your enemy's infant's head by dashing them against rocks is really the reading matter he should have. No mention of crude oil in the Bible though. Maybe that is the modern day equivalent though.

In Melbourne Gaol museum there is a Bible with the pages cut out to hide some contraband, so there are many ways to use a Bible in jail.

I don't know if it's typical behavior, but Dunham took all the family photos he was in. I've never seen that particular aspect included in any studies.
10 Notorious Cases of Familicide - Oddee

The first super religious family annihilators I think of are John List and Chris Coleman. List claimed he did it to save the souls of his family. I’m sure there are others but they are off the top of my head. If this is true, I think it’s more along the lines of “prison conversion” for CW. Or staged as @Jennifer17 said. Jmo.
Thanks PommyMommy and MKZoo. Hope this double quote thing works.

Also, the preface post had a link to how different cultures bury their dead.

Death, especially death of an offspring, is deeply troubling not only to humans. I heard of a cat giving birth to kittens. (We got one of them). It was a very young cat and she did not have experience, so she did not tear the sac off the first

It made the cat very uncomfortable, despite the fact that there were more to come, and the owner had to remove it very fast.

Here are animals that have "burial rituals".

And no animals hide their dead offspring.

Maybe its one of those hard cardboard child versions.

I'm surprised it didn't burst into flames when he touched it...
Especially when he gets to the parts that deal with being a person who pretends to have moral and religious virtues that he doesn't actually possess. JMO

Scott Peterson has been said to have a picture or pictures of Laci in his cell. Whether that's true, I do not know.

Yes, this I know to be true, from someone on the inside.

ETA: just want to clarify that the person who told me this was inside as his role in LE, and is NOT a DR inmate lol

Yes, and SP is still trying to win on appeal. When all appeals are exhausted....I wonder if it will stay. Maybe, as he has family who believes him. Likely works with the lady fans as well. Working it. Ugh.

With an inscription, "Missing you already", no doubt?

When my mother died very suddenly, our dog never stopped looking for her. It was pretty tough. It makes it very hard for me for to think about Dieter. Poor little guy always waiting for his people.
