I agree about the PR. We've been told more than once CW is on suicide watch. He's allowed nothing in his cell. Not even books. And then, all of a sudden, he has a photo and a bible? PR!

I'm being snarky, but he deserves a photo of the oil tanks to look at, not his family!
Absolutely!!!

IMO, I’m wondering if he’d been working on a story for the day the girls’ bodies might eventually be found. I’m assuming one day they’d find some trace of evidence? How could he expect to get himself out of that since he worked there? Was he thinking of removing the bodies at some point in the future, maybe when the tanks were nearly empty? Could he have been working in a story to blame a co-worker, maybe even the AP if they were no longer together?
I think he would blame SW if he could. She put them in the oil and he followed her in his truck breaking speed limits and running red lights and he killed her in a rage when he caught her dumping the last little girl in the oil.

“IMO we know very little. I think there's way more that we don't know yet. It's hard to find evidence when so little has been made public. Jmo”

I think we knew a lot within 2 days of the murders but there’s no need to rehash that except to say that SW was murdered after 2 a.m. on Monday morning and he was taken to jail at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

While we really know very little about him, some people have said he was very quiet and more or less kept to himself. Any friends he may have had, other than school friends, seem to be those he met through Shanann. From what I’ve seen of him on the videos, he appeared to be a good dad, helped around the house and played with the children. Just an ordinary guy.

On the other hand, because of her Thrive videos, we saw a distorted version of the reality that was her life. Due to that, she’s been mercilessly accused of many, many things. As she’s now dead, buried and can’t speak for itself, I think that’s just reprehensible. She and her unborn child are homicide victims and there’s no escaping that.

I agree there’s a lot we don’t know, but that will mostly relate to him, not her. To date there hasn’t been a shred of evidence to support the fact that she had a reason to commit murder or would ever harm her children – on the contrary as far as I’m concerned. I know some people weren’t happy with all of the videos but obviously it’s a subjective thing. Personally speaking, I loved the videos as they brought back many of my own childhood memories and those of my children. And then there were so many beautiful photos of her happy smiling little girls.

However, the single thing that gave me the greatest insight into what she was really like is her Journey of Bella Marie blog. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s simply beautiful. Have you read it? To me, this is the real Shanann.

The suspected killer does not want to be label a monster and believes that people do not understand him, according to someone who has talked to him at the Weld County Jail.

I wonder who leaked that information.

He has not been convicted. He is only in jail. Yes, he is guilty of killing his wife but that has not been adjudicated, Why he cannot have other reading material is strange. Maybe he does not want any.

Where has it been said he cannot have any other reading material? Didn't we hear previously that he gets to read a newspaper everyday? Perhaps putting out that he only has a Bible to read is a strategic leak by his defense to make it sound like he is reading it and that is all he wants to read. Doesn't make it true though. MOO.

I'm still waiting for more information - I think there's way more that we don't know.

And so transparent that it a PR exercise IMO.

People aren't revealing their source. Could be one of the guards or a visitor, they definitely want it known he's hurting.

Watts is on suicide watch in his cell where he spends 23 hours a day without TV and things to read. According to PEOPLE, he recently found out in exchanges with guards that his case was covered around the globe and cable news networks are still talking about it.

To me, a trial would be a stupid waste of money.

What kind of advice do his lawyers give him?

When does the court decide if they are going to ask for the death penalty?

It all seems like a ridiculous waste of money. All the experts. All of the legal wrangling for what? Money that could be better spent on other things.

The Arias trial was absurd with money spent that could have gone for real needs of people.

I imagine he is willing to gamble. After all, Casey Anthony got off .
Nobody should be denied their right to a trial -- the 6th Amendment Guarantees this, even if you're not a citizen of the USA!

He had a PANIC BUTTON on the alarm system. He could have pushed that button in a split second.

And he didn't have to watch her kill...he was much stronger than she was. He could have thrown her out of the room, and then begun CPR, and screamed loud for help from neighbors. He could have knocked her out, and called 911, or any number of other options.
With the close proximity of the neighbors’ houses, driveways, and yards it amazes me that no one heard anything except for the barking dog. Or even in the past, arguments, fighting, yelling etc. They must be well insulated homes.

Legal fight brews over release of autopsies in Christopher Watts triple-murder case
Defense attorneys for Christopher Watts are letting the court decide whether to seal the autopsy reports for Watts' wife and children, while a number of media organizations have stepped forward to say the court doesn't have the authority to do so in this case.

In a court document filed Oct. 4, the public defenders for Watts say the reasons offered by the prosecution to keep the autopsy reports from the public are contradictory to its previous positions.

The defense also says the prosecution's position that this could affect jurors and thus Watts' rights is incongruous with its "indignant objection to investigating prejudicial media leaks."

I'm guessing this is where the defense is saying the prosecution is leaking information.

We could hear very well the dogs creating a racket from inside the house, but you would think that there would have to have been some arguments if he had asked her for a separation as many times as it has been claimed.

Why not the guard whom he spoke to? Those 'leaks' could have come from any source.

That makes more sense. Detected to me meant some kind of sensor, perhaps.

I have wondered the same, Human. IIRC, there are drones equipped with heat sensing capabilities. I know I have read in other cases that a body (sorry :(), will continue to emit heat (maybe from gases) after death (sorry again :()?

I do not know much about these capabilities, or how long after death a body may be detectable. Does anyone know about such things- or the case(s) in which this was discussed?
