"I cannot make heads or tails of what bedding is in the bag I just pray the couple darker spots are patterns on the bedding fabric and not bodily fluids (urine, blood, feces, vomit, maybe even semen there too). Also wondering if each entire bedset were taken in separate bags from the other beds. Our twin sized bedding, mattress cover, sheets, pillow & comforter could look like that bag. Morbid, sorry, I wonder if there were more fluids on the bedding than the pillows"

I think the yellow at the bottom is a 'GoMoji Bean Bag'.
The black you see in the bag could be the 'face' on the bean bag.

Wow, I can totally see those beanbags in that bag now...I wonder if that's really what it is?? If so, I wonder if they were kept in the girls' rooms at all? Seems in those pics they were in the loft area and then downstairs. Wonder why they'd need them if the girls were in bed, killed in bed, and nowhere near the beanbags...

I agree that suicide is probably the risk. I also think jails have learned they need to be more security and careful with the inmates because of previous escapes, as in the Ted Bundy example I gave.

Can you imagine being the person who was responsible for making sure Ted Bundy stayed in jail in Glenwood Springs? Bundy got out and went on to kill more victims.

Yeah that guy definitely lost his job I imagine lol

Bundy was a whole different monster though. He was so damn brilliant. I hate him.

Yeah. He was nothing if not determined, losing a ton of weight to facilitate one attempt, and literally throwing himself out of a 20-30 foot window in the law library during another escape.

It’s a great responsibility, but modern technology makes escape far more difficult than it was 40 years ago.

I believe he had a plan in his mind, but possibly not a timeline, not an exact date to carry out the murders. He probably entertained himself with thoughts of what he could/would do and then what his life would be like; carefree and happy. Something happened between the return from NC and SW's Arizona trip that triggered things! I believe he killed the girls before SW arrived home. I think part of her not feeling well was worry. She arrived home, put everything down, removed her shoes and rushed upstairs to check on her daughters. It seems that CW wouldn't let her speak to the girls earlier (before she got home) and we know that SW didn't leave things lying around (shoes, purse, keys, suitcase). So, why that night? It's out of character, even if she was tired and didn't feel well! Then, CW attacks her and subdues her before she can fight back. Her phone ends up in the cushions. He carries her body the short distance to their bedroom and bed, so he can use the fitted sheet to cover/move her. This may not have been an active plan, but I believe it was in his mind and became reality when something triggered it! Since NUA has said little about SW wanting to leave CW, and she would know, I have to believe either something happened with the AP or he accidently killed one of the girls and then did a Jeffery MacDonald on everyone else. JMHO

Not wearing shoes in the house is very common to me. Dragging dirt in from outside is not desirable. There is even research that tells about the things brought in on a shoe from the outside,

Many cultures do not allow shoes in the home.

Interesting, because if my son was on trial for killing his wife, with a story like this, there is no way that I would cash in 401k, or mortgage our home for his defense. Sure, I would throw some money on his account in jail, take his phone calls, help him out, but, his defense would be his own expense.

Adults make their own choices. If SW killed her children, she would have to have been completely borderline, and unstable. CW would have known how she would react to any breakup.
If CW’s parents want to throw away all of their life savings on his defense, go ahead. WILDLY stupid.

Agree - Bundy was very smart, and very dangerous. As for the Glenwood Springs jailer - loss of job, having to live with the knowledge this monster escaped while on your watch, etc. All bad.

The only thing I could think would allow them to limit non-professional visitors would be the difficulty of getting him safely to and from his cell while on suicide watch.
Aren' t they all just video visitors? Not up close and personal...

I can see it now too.
It's not a good thought, I'll tell ya. :(:(:(
Between the beanbags and the blue blankets from the last thread, I teared up. :( Now, I'm having a hard time finding the light pink item (at the top of the bag).

Well, you're right. It's not truly a leak because there's no gag order. The defense is allowed to discuss what they want to.

However, I fully believe the "source" was someone on the defense team. They are quite motivated to paint their client as a holy family man who spends his time staring at his dead family and reading the bible.

I don't believe any of it (at the least if he's doing so it's to make an impression) and I don't think any fellow prisoner or any prison staff would care to contact the media.

This is straight defense PR in my opinion. Timed perfectly to coincide with their motion response and to cushion the effects the release of the autopsy will have.

Is there any way that the autopsy reports might be able to indicate if the girls may have been sexually abused? Would the coroner actively look for that or would that have to be requested?

It would be standard procedure to check for signs of sexual abuse/assault. I hope they don’t find any.

Parents sometimes do put themselves into financial harms' way to protect an adult child. I'm not sure if it put Scott Peterson's family in financial hard way, but from what I understand, they put up $1,000,000 for his defense.

I know some people (not friends of mine) who ended up declaring Chapter 7 because they were always bailing their son out of trouble. His last crime put him in prison for life with no parole. DNA proved he did it, too. It didn't matter, his parents are 100% on his side. He can do no wrong in their eyes. Yeah - they are a very dysfunctional bunch!

I don't know actually. But just transporting a suicidal person opens them up to risk.

It's a scary thought to envision bean bag chairs shown in those SM photos being collected from the scene (we don't know if they were), but it's also not difficult in my mind to envision how they could have been used in this case for a murder. Jmo

They have protocols in place. This isn’t about punishment, it is about making sure he doesn’t hurt himself.

I’m sure he would have been interviewed by a psychologist, who determined that he may be a suicide risk.

He won’t be on suicide watch forever, just as long as necessary.

Why can he have a Bible and no other books?

I hope they wouldn’t find it either but I wouldn’t put it past CW in light of the other things he has done, while there would be a very pressing motive for him to want to cover something like that up IMO

That’s exactly why it’s so important that they check. No matter how unlikely it is, something like that could seal the case against him.

I don't even want to speculate about that. The case is horrific enough and there's zero indication IMO of that kind of thing.
