Exactly. It will affect them emotionally but that’s not all it does.

It demonstrates that he knew what he was doing was wrong, and was trying to commit a coverup.

It’s very incriminating.

Right. Because innocent people call 911. They don't go from a howling rage of insane grief after losing everything that meant anything to them, to immediately thinking rationally that, "Hey. I might be blamed for the murders." And then immediately and calmly concealing the crimes and disposing of the bodies.

He says this "emotional conversation" occurred at 4 or 5 am. Depending on what version you believe. So he's kind of stuck with that time frame. And then quickly after his truck is seen backed up into the garage and calmly driving away. No screaming heard. No wailing or crying. No screeching tires.

Just calmly loading up his dead and quietly driving away.

It's incredible to believe he just moments before witnessed the unfathomable and lost his mind due to such an insane Greek tragedy but then within moments was rationally thinking about his own skin and was able to instantly snap out of it and calmly get rid of the evidence.

It's ludicrous. Nothing explains his post-homicide behavior except guilt. There is nothing else that fits. His calmness. His callousness in quietly loading up the bodies of the babies he supposedly was so destroyed with grief about just moments before that he flipped out and killed their killer.

His flipping from rage to worry. From insane grief to calm rationality. From a love so primal and powerful that it caused him to kill, to a coldness and detachment so great he could stuff his precious babies' bodies in some tanks, separate from each other after driving miles with them down the road, and calmly deprive his family and all their loved ones of the knowledge of their fates and deprive them of the dignity of a normal burial.

No one feels such lack of care and concern for the bodies of their dead except those who never loved them or those who are completely insane and think they have to destroy the bodies to extract demons or whatever.

And he showed zero signs of insanity Nothing. Nothing close to comparable with the psychotics like Andrea Yates and Ebony Wilkerson and Jeremiah Wright and Deanna Laney.

Not close. Not anything.

No. Instead he showed cool and deceptive efforts to continue to mislead authorities and the public as to what happened to his family, leaving his loved ones and theirs to suffer in fear over their fates.

Not a case like this in history. Except when the perp is guilty as charged.

(slapping my head) Yes! Another reason to have and keep the phone, to send text messages from SW! Probably to himself, NUA, and maybe her parents. NUA sure created a hairball for him, didn't she!
Yes she did. She will be the star witness in this trial, if it comes to that. As well as the girlfriend, and we don't even have a clue what kind of information she has! I would think a great deal of damning evidence. Jmo

It's laughable, the way you describe his behavior in the beginning of the post. Sounds like a very bad movie. It's just not typical behavior. Jmo

Death kills humans, what happens afterward is a different issue. A dead body concealed is a dead body concealed no matter where it might be hidden afterwards. I'm not on some kind of religious high-horse about "desecration" because the bodies were already dead and the charges against CW reflect that fact.

I seriously doubt a jury will conclude guilt on first degree murder based only on the fact he concealed the bodies. The prosecutor must prove the charge of murder and concealment of the bodies is secondary and a lessor offense. JMO
Are states that consider tampering with, moving, concealing, or otherwise desecrating a body serious felonies somehow on a "religious high horse"? Or do you think there are valid reasons to consider these acts as crimes, besides just being disrespectful and far outside the cultural bounds of decency? Reasons like preventing determination of cause/manner/time of death; possibility of spreading disease/other health risks by improperly handling the body after death; possible psychological damage to someone stumbling upon a discarded/decomposing body; legal ramifications such as estate/financial issues or fraud (social security, etc.) if the body is concealed. It is also a VERY BIG CLUE towards consciousness of guilt on the part of the concealer/desecrator. Perhaps not evidence (though it very well could be, IANAL and do not know the rules of evidence), but gives investigators a very strong indication that this person is not operating with normal parameters and is the most logical/reasonable starting point for a murder investigation. In this case, when you factor in the desecrator has admitted to premeditated murder of two human beings (he could have stopped anytime during the several minutes it took to kill SW and her child, so most definitely premeditated); lied for several days to family, friends, media, LE, and the public about the whereabouts of his family; showed no signs of remorse, sadness, or concern; and all of the rest of the inconsistencies and tells, not to mention everything else that we are not privy to that allowed the prosecution to quickly and confidently file nine counts against him, I dont think the jury will have to rely too heavily on the fact that he desecrated his victims' bodies to conclude guilt on all counts. MOO.

I agree with all of this. I have a friend that lost her baby to SIDS, she was in her early 20's. She told me that she went to check on him that morning and knew he was dead. She is a nurse and knew nothing could be done. she said, she was so distraught that she called her MIL and told her but didn't think to call 911. She never thought about being blamed and she certainly never hid his body. The fact that CW could stand on his porch and calmly talk about his missing children and never show sadness when HE knew they were dead, is very telling. IMO

Probably we would miss seeing the texts between CW and all the APs. Like whether or not there was an ultimatum or breakup on the murder weekend.
Exactly. They acting like a plea would be to help the SW memory save face.

Yeah right. Lol.

Any plea would be to help minimize the raunchy details of CW dirty deeds and to help his family and mistresses avoid the embarrassment that's about to come. Jmo.

  • #590
Would he have turned on the light to look at his children while strangling them?

I can't imagine anyone turning on the light, so they can see their child's face, and vice versa, while strangling them.

I would think he'd want them to be asleep when he began, and not have to see each other.

The Prosecution has asked the judge to block the release of the autopsy reports.

The Prosecution has asked to move the status hearing up to Nov 6.

The Defense has seemed willing to allow the release the autopsy and go to trial IMO. The Defense has filed a sealed pleading containing information protected by HIPAA in preparation for trial.

Seems to me like something is up.

SW’s family may not want the autopsy unsealed & other information getting out if this is the case. CW still has to be held accountable for SW’s murder and 3 counts of tampering with a deceased body.

A plea to 2nd degree murder & tampering with the bodies might assure he serves time for the crimes committed as well as keep disparaging information regarding SW private. Plus, a plea is still a “win” for the DA.

MOO

I disagree the Defense has seemed willing to release the autopsy reports.

Public policy of the State of Colorado, with certain exceptions, provides that all public records shall be open for inspection by any person at reasonable times. [Colorado Open Records Act (CORA)].

On Sept 17, 2018, the District Attorney's office filed a motion to withhold disclosure of the autopsy reports until trial (reports were incomplete, and not available from the Coroner's office). This motion was filed in an abundance of caution -- it was still early in the investigation for both the Prosecution and Defense, and the DA's office had not completed interviews of all their witnesses.

In the Courts order dated Sept 21, 2018, with no known requests by the public for the autopsy reports, the Court stated that the District Attorney's office was the official custodian of autopsy reports of victims of homicide, and requested the position of the Defense. In response, the Defense did not object to the Motion (or jurisdiction) because just like the Prosecution, they'd not yet seen the autopsy reports still not issued. On October 4, 2018, after Defense received copies of the autopsy reports, they told the court they would leave the decision of whether or not to disclose the autopsy reports to the public, to the Court. Again, they did not object to the original motion.

On October 4, 2018, when the Coroner's office was in possession of the autopsy reports, and public requests for the autopsy reports received, the Colorado Press Association and Colorado Broadcasters Association filed a motion contesting the potential seal of the autopsy reports. On October 12, 2018, the Court recognized that CORA had exclusive procedures for persons requesting records, and for record custodian to dissolve disputes concerning accessibility, and that the criminal Court lacked subject matter jurisdiction to resolve their dispute.

On October 15, 2018, the Weld County Coroner correctly filed in a separate court, the record custodian's request to seal the autopsy reports, citing the reports will be critical evidence at trial, that the investigation is still ongoing, and an effort to ensure the integrity of the ongoing investigation, and a fair trial for the defendant.

On October 26, 2018, the separate Court granted petitions filed by both the Prosecution and Defense (in protection of their respective interest) to join the Media's Lawsuit to obtain the autopsy reports.

Accordingly, I don't see where the Defense has demonstrated willingness to disclose the autopsy reports. MOO

I think the "me" is a very hurrried "I mean"
Tortoise, I don't hear it the way you do. I clearly hear "She barely let me".... And, what would he be correcting? His next sentence still starts with "She barely....." So why would he say "She barely let, I mean, She barely gotten into bed" ?

Even if he did actually say it the way you hear it...there is still a big "LET" in there which could be a tell.

Anyhow I've listened to it a few times and can't bear to do it again...so maybe you are right.

What time was her original flight?

If she came home at a time when the neighborhood would be awake, would he not risk discovery by her screaming or something that might be revealing to people in homes merely feet away from their home?

It depends on the flight delay type as to how soon people would kmow there is a dealy. I wonder how much warning there was.
Delay or no delay. Once the camera shows her arriving home but never leaves the house again. Then he would still be screwed. Jmo

I believe CW planned to murder and then murdered his wife Shanann and children, Cece, Bella, and Nico. I believe the murders were then covered up by CW, and the bodies hidden, in a manner that satisfied some sick need in his warped mind. I have looked at and tried to fairly consider all of the facts and evidence, but I always return to his guilt. So, I made this list, and I still reach the same conclusion;

Did CW attempt to help any of the victims? – No! (he would have said so, if he had!)

Did CW yell, cry out, or do anything to attract attention? – No!

Did CW call anyone for help (911)? – No!

Did CW attempt to preserve the crime scene? – no!

Did CW attempt to mitigate his attack on SW to protect the unborn Nico? – No!

Did CW attempt to mitigate his attack on SW, to restrain the killer/witness? = No!

Did CW advise LE, at any time BEFORE he was made aware the truth was coming out, of an alternate explanation? – No! (Once he knew and understood the direction that LE was following and that his actions and behavior had been exposed, his confession became self-serving at best!)

At any time, before he was forced by circumstances, did CW tell the truth? – NO!

Did CW treat any of the bodies with the reverence and/or respect of a grieving parent? – No!

At any time, after NUA and LE arrived at the house, up to the current time, has CW proclaimed his love for his family or even used the word; love? – No!

At any time has CW expressed or shown any remorse, for anything? - No!

Has CW done anything that would lead a logical person to perceive innocence? – No!

Did CW kill any one? – Yes! (he’s confessed to killing SW, and by extension, Nico!)

Was CW the only survivor? – Yes!

Did CW remain quiet and do everything he could to hide the crimes? – Yes!

Did CW disrupt. manipulate, and change the crime scene? – Yes!

Did CW move and hide bodies? – Yes!

Did CW move and hide the bodies in a manner usually indicating guilt? – Yes!

Did CW treat the bodies disrespectfully and in a manner contrary to what would logically be expected by a moral society, and of a grieving parent? – Yes!

Did CW treat the bodies in a manner usually indicating mental aberration and guilt? – Yes!

Did CW attempt to manipulate others away from the truth (NUA, LE, the media)? - Yes!

Has CW lied? – Yes!

Has CW lied repeatedly and in a way indicating guilt? – Yes!

Is CW an adulterer? – Yes!

Is the adultery current? – Yes!

Has CW behaved in a manner (overall) contrary to that of a worried or grieving parent? – Yes

Has CW behaved in a manner that has caused experts to convey disbelief and concern? – Yes!

Has CW done anything that would lead a logical person to perceive guilt? – Yes!

Do the current facts and evidence greatly favor a belief of CW’s guilt of murdering his wife and children? – Yes!

IMO, the girls were killed before SW got home. She would not check on them because she would not want to wake them. Plus, she was exhausted! She felt that she had to get to sleep ASAP because the girls would wake up soon so she needed to get as much sleep as possible, expecting a full day with energetic little ones and a doctor appt.
I believe she would have went straight to their room to check on them. I recall hearing he wouldnt let her see/talk to them by phone earlier in the evening and it upset her. Another point for he may have killed them before she got home...

Had Shan'nan have lived despite being choked, yet the 2 children died, would he have accused her.....NO.

Great points! I would sum it up with something I have mentioned before...that in 2 of his 3 interviews, he describes coming back to no one home as "It's vanished." That is his family he has detached from, IMO. They are now "it" and "vanished." Those weren't his precious children, they were trash IMO. His lack of grief/devastation is frightening and the very reason I believe his friends the Thayers believe he is the sole murderer. They saw it up close his last night of freedom at their home where he spent the night. It disturbed them deeply. Their grief you could see and not mistake IMO.
