I may be getting some details wrong - but at this point it seems as if he was the (for the last several years) the consistent earner - not dependant on how may people purchased some patches of whatever.
He had a 40 hour a week position earning something like a consistent 65K.
At this point in the investigation we have no idea how much she was making selling patches of something.
What we know from the videos is she was purchasing a ton of the stuff - mailing free samples all over and paying to fly two people to wherever
this is only my notions about this - but I know going out of town always costed me money

If you have the time to review the media thread, you can easily read MSM articles regarding SW's employment history. She was never without employment during their relationship. This may help you to determine if you have any of the information wrong? I refer to it frequently (except for the Thrive information- my daughter is a Thrive promoter, and I am quite familiar with the products, commission schedule, qualification requirements, etc.). I find the media thread to be very helpful!
Here is a portion of SW's employment history, as documented in the media thread (there are others listed):
She was a nanny.
She worked at the same auto dealership that CW did.
She worked at a hospital call center while building her Thrive business. (Thrive is not just patches).
The samples SW sent out were provided for free from Le-Vel, the company who owns the Thrive brand. She was not purchasing a "ton" of stuff. She earned a "ton" of free stuff every month. Way more than she ever could have used. And "tons" meant to give away.
SW was making at least double- (if not a substantial amount more), than CW was. For quite some time. Her hard work also earned the car payments for BOTH vehicles driven by SW and CW, each month. The term "200,000 club" you may see referenced on social media means something about the amount she was earning.
The trip to NC was a business expense. She conducted business while there, and would have been able to use the amount for airfare as a tax deduction.
The trips flying two people "to wherever" were trips that SW earned for FREE. All food, lodging, and transportation expenses for SW and a guest were covered by Le-Vel. CW accompanied her on each of these- there are some beautiful photos of the two of them enjoying their vacations together.
Hope some of this info helps- it can be very difficult to keep all of the information in a fast-moving forum straight (at least in my mind!)
