One would hope. Seriously. I assume there was incontrovertible evidence he was told he couldn't fight...e.g. incriminating internet searches on his phone prior to the murder, etc. I am floored this happened so soon.

And perhaps he wanted to spare his own family from hearing the dirty deets of what he got up to leading up to the annihilation.

I am angry that he gets to avoid the public shame that would come from a trial.

But I am glad that the family does not have to endure it.

I can't imagine how hard and expensive a trial would have been for them given how far away they live. And then to have his defense team try to pin it all on her. I am glad they don't have to go through that.

Oh I think some are way too committed to the narrative that she's a monster and he's an angel to do so. They'll probably claim he pled to spare her reputation.

I feel like crying. For Shanann's family.

They lost everything but they don't have to suffer the indignity of a trial and the continuation of the disgusting things said about her in an effort to absolve that monster of the crimes he committed.

I don't think his fear of the death penalty was his motivation for taking the plea. I think he didn't want all his dirty secrets to come out in the trial.

Taking this plea allows him to slink away into obscurity without his family or the rest of the world learning all the sick details of his crime (and everything that led up to it). His text messages, social media posts, the autopsy details, etc.

He knew they had so much evidence against him that he was going to be in prison for the rest of his life, trial or trial.

The DA office did not object to the Media.

Sentencing will be November 19, 2018.

I think everything will come out. Or at least a lot. Witnesses will be free to tell all now.

My heart broke for them. Her friends and family having to stay quiet and endure the nasty allegations against that poor woman.

She just loved her little family and tried so hard. Just to have it all taken away.

And to be blamed for killing the toddlers she loved most in the world was horrifying. Even worse was that some believed it and harmed her reputation. Thankfully the truth is out.

He took himself a lot! He was blessed with two beautiful children (my god they were sooooo sweet!!) and a wife who thought highly of him and presented it to the outside! He was a jerk to give it all up for an affair or a "new" life. Sadly he didn't notice what he actually had and how lucky he was in reality to have had a family!!
