Hearing CW's parents is very disturbing.
Can you imagine how Shan'ann's family are now feeling.
We know Shan'ann's dear friend, Colorado has been greatly affected.
I would think Shan'ann's family are in shock.
They certainly cannot just ignore this ugliness, and pretend it hasn't happened: to just lie down, go to sleep and rest.
We saw them in Court when CW was arrested: absolutely devastated.
We know they have great support from the DA, and I would think also at this ugly time.
Shan'ann's family will have Justice supporting them now, and the many years to come.
For Shan'ann's family, to hear that CW's family are 'bashing' Shan'ann, ignoring all 3 little ones, is unbelievable.

You are right. That is quite a serious allegation, that a defense team would destroy mitigating evidence in favor of their client, accused of multiple felony murders. This family better step back and take a deep breath before this backfires big time.

Doesn't CW need to want a new lawyer, not just mommy & daddy? And can he even get that now? Or meaning after the plea he will try to get it overturned if CW agrees? Ma Watts keeps saying she just wants to save his life but if this goes to trial he will get handed the death penalty. She is a pathetic woman and like her son, makes me think of the banality of evil. Pa Watts really is just as bad, that comment about "you have to know her" was beyond. They have crossed so far over the line of understandable defensiveness about their murderer son to despicable snakes lashing out at the victim, and giving not a thought to the children including Nico. Their son IS a monster and they are now behaving monstrously themselves.

Yes, and SW's family probably cannot sue them for defamation because she is dead, but the Defence team are alive and well and could show probable damage to their reputations.

Fortunately, the Watts’ public appeal seems to have backfired in spectacular fashion.

Shanann’s family have released a statement about those comments, and most importantly, will have their say on the 19th.

So will a judge.

The way his father said CW went into a “rage,” and killed her, like a “rage” is something understandable that we all go into when we catch our spouses strangling our children, and that Chris would die in jail, and who knows what will happen to him in there, I do think they think if he fights he will be acquitted or at least get a lesser sentence.

Well you are assuming that he went into a rage because he did catch his wife strangling his girls.

But what if that is anther one of his bald faced lies? What if he went into a rage because she said she was filing for divorce, seeking full custody and told him to leave right then, because she was asking for the house too?
