You know all the responsibility for these heinous murders has to rest squarely on CW’s shoulders. But I have to wonder what effect his mother and sister’s dehumanizing comments about SW for years contributed to CW’s ultimately expendable view of SW and his girls with her. They didn’t even attend his own wedding to SW over their hatred of her. Normally, I would not even make this observation, but since his parents think it is fine to point out how everything is SW’s fault and their child was perfect before she came along, I am motivated to put it out there that they may have contributed to their son’s ultimate hatred of and expendable view of SW and what he might have seen as extensions of her, their girls. Just IMO.

I have thought the same thing. I don't think they ever thought, him killing them was a possibility. I think in his mind he may have thought they hated her so much, that they would accept it.

Not to mention if it was done on the computer it would still be there so what’s this “the defense destroyed it” nonsense? If there is any such letter I’m inclined to think it was typed up while CW was in jail by someone who read that most people were wanting texts, video, or something tangible showing SW’s ability to kill her children. Now poof here’s a letter. How convenient.

Dexter, I think they are not trying to make the profit. Either, they are looking for ways to afford a private lawyer, or CW will need money in jail.

Does not matter. He will be sentenced, and after that, they can do whatever they want, it is not going to change a thing.

CW had miniscule chance to get less than life if he murdered only SW, and that only if he used a very different motive for defense. But two kids, 3 and 4 years of age, no one would forgive him. Ever.

He should not be alloted 1 honeybun off money made besmirching Shannan with nonsense innuendos by his family.

Wouldn't we all like to know what makes a person a killer? Someone on the other thread told me his parents were victims too. (I wish I knew how to bring it over) I no longer agree. In fact, I am beginning to see, he is probably a victim of theirs. His Mother is acting like he is 12 years old. He was smart enough to cover up his misdeeds and hide his little girls in oil tanks. I am certain he can decide how to plead. He is a grown man. I have no doubt they are grieving but I don't think its because they lost their precious grand babies. They seem more upset because "he will die in prison and no telling what they will do to him in there". Those were the mom's words.

This comment is so annoying! CW will take his chances, at least he has a chance, and no doubt he'll have a productive life in prison, which will probably infuriate the public but many before him are doing well passing their time. Yes, he could be targeted one day. Shanann took a chance and married CW, who'd a thought that decision would cost her, her life?! Mrs Watts should take stock of the situation, does she care about her son and his actions, or does she care about her reputation?

Having watched their interviews, I would say he was right in that assumption as they don’t seem phased by his killing her. By all accounts they seem to think it’s justified and he shouldn’t be incarcerated for the rest of his natural life

The part where MrsW says SW was more capable of killing the girls than her son.

She repeats herself in the same manner than CW did in the porch interviews! "if they are...if they aren't safe.." odd repetitive wording.

"...if something happened that night and that did happen -- God forbid if it did happen..."

So truly odd. He has her speech patterns, read the interview. And idk how she can't break down sobbing about her grandchildren. It's all about CW...and her. The lack of variation in facial expressions, even while in tears, is unnerving.
