Heck, I believe she's even friendly with her ex and his new spouse!

Yeah. Sounds like a real nut.

I think it's obvious who the real nuts in the situation are.

And we know that she has nuts in the home. Shan'ann told us so. ;)

Their apologies will mean nothing to me. It's not as though MrsW has given only interview. She was the one that approached the media multiple times. Her story remained unchanged, and it was a hate-filled message at that. She could barely bring herself to mention Shan'ann's name. She thought, "What has SHE done". OMG. I have no words for her words, none. An apology from the monster ... no thanks. He's shown NO remorse whatsoever.
Not to mention "I would have never thought in a million years that something like this could have happened to him." Huh? "happened to him?" MOO

good morning here it is 6.40 am, putting my bag on the chair and wait.

Agreed. It defies all logic and common sense.

He was “taking care of business,” and not attempting to reenact some scene out of a horror movie.
Right. But it was suggested if they had been drugged & he thought they were dead but they weren't. I know... it gets pretty far out there. Hopefully we get some answers tomorrow.

But that was her whole attitude. It happened to him. Shanann happened to him. The baby that Ma said her son didn't want, happened to him.
He killed his little girls, just happened to him.
He dumped them in crude oil, just happened to him.
Look in the mirror Mrs Watts, if you wonder how it 'happened to him'.

That seems so odd to me. If my friend's wife and kids were missing, and the police were called in to try and help find them----would I ask that friend to help me move a Bounce Castle that night? ...weird time to ask for a favor like that, imo.
No, the bouncy castle company took care of the castle. CW was said to help haul the lawn/patio furniture in his truck. I don't know where from -- sounded like a nearby storage unit. I'm sure birthday family will talk after the sentencing. Probably many people will talk.

Agreed. I think that press conference is going to be where we learn the majority of the answers.

I hope the DA has plenty of time, because it could take a while if the reporters do their job.
I hope someone links the press conference. I will miss it. I will get to watch the court hearing just not the press conference.

I think that that could have been very convenient for him to park the truck away from his home and I think that he may have been stupid enough to think that the police would not look outside his driveway for the truck. Out of sight, out of mind.

Oh it will be posted. @PommyMommy probably has it already, and it hasn’t even taken place yet.

It also came across to me that the reporter didn't believe him. Whether that's my imagination or not I don't know.

There were three and all three seemed to know.

But come on. It was obvious to most who follow such cases and reporters would be familiar.

One reporter asked, sort of bluntly and out of the blue, "What happened?" And you could see his body sort of jerk before he quickly recovered his composure and began talking nonsense again.

Another one said, "You know Chris, you have a beautiful family.." It seemed almost recriminatory. Like: "why did you not want such a beautiful family?"

The last was the only female reporter. The one who got who him to show off his damn shirt.

Man. They had his number. They knew.

She said they were still his friends to this day. But.... There was a lot of magical thinking going on in that extended interview.

Anyone else have some "very important meetings" they have to attend tomorrow where they had to cancel any and all other commitments for a certain time period? ;)
If we hear from them, I imagine it will be along the lines of I never thought he could do something like this. If they still believed in his innocence they would have joined them for the interviews. JMO

I'm attaching an article from today in Denver7. If I'm reading this sentence correctly and the sentence itself reflects correct facts, then it appears to me that CW admitted to police that he killed them. This article specifically states police documents. It isn't referencing his admission in the plea deal.

"Police arrested Watts late on the night of Aug. 15 in the alleged killings of Shanann, Celeste and Bella. After Watts initially denied that he killed them in an interview with Denver7, police documents said that he admitted to doing so."

In the affidavit, there are several words that are blacked out right before it says that CW said he would tell the truth after he talked to his dad. I've wondered what that was and have suspected he may have admitted it, but retracted it. I'm sure he would have be advised of Miranda before that meeting started because he was being interrogated and shown evidence.

If he made an admission that he killed them when under Miranda, that would have been used against him in court.

And, to me, it seemed like he had to be prompted by the reporters to plead for his family's return.

They wanted that soundbite, and he wasn’t giving it to them.

It was stated that his sister is a respiratory therapist.

No, that is his sister's friend Kelli.

Sorry if this is old news, but I've missed a lot of threads...Somehow I had not seen this info before. Is that why there were people insinuating CeCe and Bella didn't really have asthma? Did SW refuse to take the girls to CW's sister's friend when they were sick or something? Did the family say she made the asthma up out of spite? Or did the sister think she could diagnose the girls just by talking to a friend and decided they didn't have it based on that? Am I warm?:rolleyes:

I'm a few pages behind, so I apologize if this has been asked and answered already... Just worried that our legal experts may be offline by the time I catch up....

Are we certain that the sentence will be handed down by the Judge tomorrow? I ask because another case I have followed from day 1 recently had a Sentencing Hearing, where we all thought we'd learn the final word, but it was merely submissions from Prosecution and Defence. The Judge's decision will not be heard for another month. Mind you, that case involved a guilty verdict at the end of a lengthy jury trial, not a guilty plea... and that one is in Canada, not the US.

I believe he will be sentenced tomorrow.

Just a thought I had. Not a suggestion, just typing while thinking. I just believe there is some kind of evidence that points to him and only him. Or he never would have pled guilty. He isn't worrying about the evidence that comes out, he knows his family will stick with him no matter what. He knows NK believes he killed (assuming police told about text messages) them all so he doesn't have her anymore. I see no other reason for him to plead guilty unless he knows the evidence only points to him and his lawyers agree. All JMO
