Sorry if this is old news, but I've missed a lot of threads...Somehow I had not seen this info before. Is that why there were people insinuating CeCe and Bella didn't really have asthma? Did SW refuse to take the girls to CW's sister's friend when they were sick or something? Did the family say she made the asthma up out of spite? Or did the sister think she could diagnose the girls just by talking to a friend and decided they didn't have it based on that? Am I warm?:rolleyes:

No, it was nonsense like all of that persons claims were. I think that the friend K had not seen CW since she was friends with his sister as a child. The sister is 7 years older than CW. What she knew about him and his marriage was told to her by the sister.

Interesting. I missed this information as well but I certainly remember the whole - SW must have nefariously obtained a nebulizer so she could fake their asthma debacle. I always wondered how that idea came about. It was such a bizarre accusation.

Those of us who have lost kids could turn you upside down with the things people say. Some personally said to me:

- Think of the money you'll save on college now.
- At least he was young so you didn't have time to get attached!
- Why are you still sad? It's been almost a month.
- I know EXACTLY how you feel. When my girlfriend lost her guinea pig, she was a mess.
- Oh, I'm sorry. Did you just not get him help when he needed it or something?
- Well, at least you still have your other son. (Yeah, thank goodness I had that backup child!)
- Can't you just, like, have another kid or something? (Yes, because they are interchangeable like that.)

The truth is, there is never any real closure. The stages of grief are nonlinear and they never end. Acceptance may last for years and years and then you can wind right back up in anger again. The trial won't offer closure on the tragedy, but it WILL provide closure on the trial that was hanging over their heads. That's worth a lot.
I meant to say in my earlier post, but it seems my brain works faster than my fingers. I am so sorry for your loss.

I hope that one of our fellow Websleuthers writes a book. I think it would present a true picture of a beautiful and loving wife and mother, the woman she actually was and not the one the CW fan club created to trash her memory. She was such an inspirational woman and the world can never have too many people like that! It would be nice to have her story told and the story of those beautiful babies in a way that would do justice to them and their family and friends! As hard as it is to watch the videos, her pure joy and smile are such a wonderful gift she left in this world and Bella and CeCe absolutely warm my heart!
@JEM1975 What beautiful words. I agree that we all need to have more positive people like her.

I think that that could have been very convenient for him to park the truck away from his home and I think that he may have been stupid enough to think that the police would not look outside his driveway for the truck. Out of sight, out of mind.
I think that was the jest, needed to avoid police getting their hands on the truck as he had just hauled his dead family in the truck! Perhaps he thought he could destroy evidence, DNA, etc. participating with the furniture move, and get as many different finger prints on the vehicle as possible. Desperate to avoid the search as everyone of his plans thus far had been foiled. MOO

I have been told that you can buy nebulizers online without a prescription. I have always had to have a prescription. Had she obtained one without a prescription, where would she have gotten the medicine? She would have had to have a prescription for the medicine. If they really thought this is what she was doing making up ailments, why didn't they report her? Didn't they care about their grandchildren? I have already made my mind up about that last question.

I'm attaching an article from today in Denver7. If I'm reading this sentence correctly and the sentence itself reflects correct facts, then it appears to me that CW admitted to police that he killed them. This article specifically states police documents. It isn't referencing his admission in the plea deal.

"Police arrested Watts late on the night of Aug. 15 in the alleged killings of Shanann, Celeste and Bella. After Watts initially denied that he killed them in an interview with Denver7, police documents said that he admitted to doing so."

In the affidavit, there are several words that are blacked out right before it says that CW said he would tell the truth after he talked to his dad. I've wondered what that was and have suspected he may have admitted it, but retracted it. I'm sure he would have be advised of Miranda before that meeting started because he was being interrogated and shown evidence.

If he made an admission that he killed them when under Miranda, that would have been used against him in court.

Watts family murders: Chris Watts scheduled to be sentenced Monday
I believe we established that the redacted portion of the affidavit related the the AP who had come forward. CW wasn't aware of this and denied any co-worker affair until presented with the evidence.

Exactly. There is no evidence that we know of for any of this save some suspicions of her in-laws who visited maybe twice per year and were predisposed to judge her in the most negative light possible...having already refused to even attend their wedding. And no, we know of no reports to any child services agencies nor do we know if any psychiatric issues. As far as I am concerned, it appears to be mean girl talk. IMO

@mtnlites Oh my, some people are so thoughtless and cruel. I have never understood “closure” because I think such painful events are part of us forever. You used the word acceptance and I think that is the most we can hope for.

I know, it is so ridiculous. They did not have asthma? A great percentage of children in the western world have asthma and probably just as many in the non western world, but we have learned to recognise it earlier.
But the person who really hardly knew them and had no medical qualifications diagnosed that their mother was a liar and the kids did not have asthma.

I agree, I don't think it would be at all convenient but they were in NC for 6 weeks and she had the girls at the In-laws house at least once when the nut incident(s) happened. I could see such a suggestion being made at that time that she should take the girls to see a specific medical specialist. I believe the girls really had asthma and allergies. But I could also see SW politely declining a recommendation if it was made. And maybe they were offended somehow? IDK. I'm just trying to put the pieces together of this odd puzzle. Of all the claims made up by CW's supporters to try to smear SW that was one of the strangest to me-- to question if the asthma was real or not. o_O

Just a thought I had. Not a suggestion, just typing while thinking. I just believe there is some kind of evidence that points to him and only him. Or he never would have pled guilty. He isn't worrying about the evidence that comes out, he knows his family will stick with him no matter what. He knows NK believes he killed (assuming police told about text messages) them all so he doesn't have her anymore. I see no other reason for him to plead guilty unless he knows the evidence only points to him and his lawyers agree. All JMO
yeah I am putting money on over -dosing the girls very early in the night. tox report gunna be the goods imo
he's got nowhere to blame shanann if she is stuck at an airport insterstate on record.

Chris Watts set to be sentenced to life in prison for murder of wife, daughters
There is no question about what is going to happen to Chris Watts on Monday.

Weld County District Judge Marcelo Kopcow is going to sentence him to a minimum of three consecutive life terms with no chance of parole for the murders of his pregnant wife and the couple’s young daughters.

Kopcow will have the discretion to tack more years onto that sentence for some of his other crimes – he pleaded guilty to nine separate felonies – but none of it will alter this reality: Watts, 33, will die in prison.

But it’s expected to be a day fraught with tension – the sentencing hearing will provide Shanann Watts’ parents and brother the chance to confront him directly.

And it’s also expected that a number of lingering questions will be answered. Questions such as the suspected motive. The cause of death for the three victims. And the reasons investigators concluded Chris Watts was lying when he initially told them his family was home safe when he left for work the morning of Aug. 13 and didn’t know what had happened to them.

Cindy Watts has suggested that he should withdraw his guilty plea -- something that could be done if there is a "fair and just" reason to do so. But barring that surprise, he will walk out of court for the last time Monday, headed to the Colorado Department of Corrections and a life sentence.

And you know, I don't care if she was the biggest hypochondriac in the world or if she took her children to the doctors too often or didn't like his clothes when she first met him
That does not mean that she or her children deserved this vitriol and malice from his family and certainly did not justify his behaviour.
That house had a door that he could have walked out at any time and gone back to his mummy.
That was always there for him and he knew it (no matter what he did).

A respiratory therapist is not a doctor.

He could have had that timed perfectly and then that dang delay.
