I actually am of the opinion that it was a sick little move of CW's. Didn't HE send the photo or am I mistaken? I put nothing past him though. MOO.

I always wanted to know the history of that photo, but I don't think we're going to ever hear about it. They could have asked that yesterday, but I don't know if he would have known the answer. But somebody probably could have known the answer if they had time to research it and it went to trial and if it was important. Chalk that up to another question we will never have the answer to?

I just listened to last night’s podcast and that is Tricia’s opinion, that he was also killing his mother. They also went discussed how perp’s like Chris Watts and Scott Peterson are so unaware and leads them to doing obviously stupid things- CW calling the school and realtor, SP selling Laci’s car. They just do not see the world like we do.

Oh, wow, thanks, I will definitely listen to it later when I have time. I have to go to the mechanics, my battery in my car is dead! Just in time for the holiday. Oh well. At least I can get it done today. I hope.

I think there are so many correlations in this case to the Peterson case. The book I read went into detail about both Scott and Laci' s childhoods, and talked about why they were seemingly perfect together, and why Lacy didn't see the warning signs. She was a perfectionist, who wanted the perfect house, the "ideal" white picket fence with beautiful gardens. She loved Martha Stewart and wanted to be like her. Scott seemingly wanted that too and helped to provide these things. As long as she had beauty around her, she was happy. This is part of what enabled her to be in denial and not see the warning signs. She knew he had had affairs, but was able to push that out of her mind.
I think Shanann had a similar personality, and wanted only to see the positive. Not that she was in denial so much, she sent him books and tried to repair the relationship. But before that there may have been warning signs that she didn't see. And we know how well CW could act like a human. It really is hard to believe when you see him in the videos prior to the murder that he could have been capable of this. But now the world knows what a monster he is! I'm glad we can call him that now. In much earlier threads some were offended that he was called a monster and we were asked not to do so. We won't be fooled anymore! We know exactly what he is. Jmo

One more post from me for now (pesky work ) I missed so much yesterday that I missed most of the autopsy conversations. So... during the presser a reporter asked how they know the girls were smothered. The coroner said, since shannan’s family was there he would not answer then, but said the evidence is in the autopsy. Did y’all see that? Sorry if it’s already been discussed.

What a lazy, stupid monster. He couldn’t even put ANY effort into just trying to pull this off? I mean come on. I’ve heard of lust fog but this man actually called the school and realtor the morning after he dumped their bodies? He literally thought (even if NUA hadn’t been so fast) that everyone would have just accepted they disappeared after an emotional conversation?
I hope NK gets some counseling and is able to move past the guilt and horror she must (and should)) feel. Also, she must feel Incredibly stupid too because this guy is clearly the most incompetent murderer I’ve ever followed other than out of a season of Fargo. He couldn’t have wanted to be with her this badly to have pulled off such a sloppy, ugly murder.
Disgusting. He didn’t deserve one day of attention from someone as lovely and amazing as SW let alone her lifelong love and devotion! Today, I’m really feeling her families statements so deeply. Who do you think you are? How dare you? May God have mercy on his despicable soul indeed. . .
It’s just another aspect of the family annihilator profile, isn’t it? They never think through the act or put enough planning into actually getting away with it. They always have a completely irrational perspective on how easily it is to get away with murder and/or that their missing family won’t cause much alarm. Granted CW was the laziest, sloppiest of all family annihilators I have followed. Perhaps he’s of borederline intelligence too though.
There IS a pattern.

The only person who can tell us what went on in the Watts home from Sunday afternoon (after the party) until 5:30am Monday is Chris Watts. I don’t believe he will ever tell anybody specifically what happened, hour by hour, and especiallyly what happened after Shanann walked theough the door.

So unless LE releases more info/evidence, or one of their friends or family, co-workers, or Nichol Kessinger shares more ...

I have to say when CW mother said how much she loved and forgave him, I felt sick. that was so inappropriate. It is pretty telling what kind of family they are- at least mom--an enabler.

Mrs. Watts quoted Bible verses in her statement. I have read that some Christian beliefs are that God cannot forgive you if you do not forgive others. She might have thought that she would never see CW again so she had to forgive him while she had the chance.

If nothing else we learned today thinking ahead is not this guy’s strong suit. I was blown away today when I heard the girls had been smothered. Iwas certain they had been strangled since that’s how he said SW killed them. Why, why, why wouldn’t he say she smothered them, or he had no idea how she killed them? I knew he was an idiot, and I still gave him too much credit.

Maybe he thought that if he said she smothered them it would show too much first-hand knowledge of how they died, in effect being in the same room to see what she was doing with her hands rather than seeing it on a small monitor, and so he was deliberately distancing himself from that. I think the thing that may have got him to plead guilty was that there was no sign of a fight with Shan'ann, and she would have had some other injuries, so his rage -with her awake but not fighting him off, not even a broken fingernail - scenario was blown.

The family of Shanann Watts, who was murdered along with her two daughters by husband Chris Watts, has filed a civil lawsuit against him hoping to prevent him from profiting from the crime.

He said that he would be seeking restitution for the Rzuceks from what assets Chris Watts does have and said there would likely be ongoing costs to pay for counseling and therapy costs for Shanann’s family, in addition to the burials and funerals.

The family also filed a civil lawsuit Monday to try and keep Chris Watts from benefiting from the story or the case in the future, the family’s attorney and the court confirmed Friday afternoon.

"He cannot profit from any inheritance that he would normally receive from Shanann," said attorney Steven Lambert. "On top of that, any proceed that he might derive from a sale of a book, he would not be able to keep any of that. Also any assets that he might receive once we get a judgment from the court, we can file any liens and get things like that on any assets from here into the future."

Rourke acknowledged there would still be a long road ahead for the family, but he said their work with him and police has been second-to-none.

Chris Watts’ Neighbor ‘Relieved’ Over Life Sentence: 'I Hope He’s Killed In Prison!’
CH, who lives two doors down from Watts, 33, in Frederick, Colorado, told Radar that she was in tears when she heard the news. Despite Watts being sentenced to life at the Colorado state prison, CH believes he should’ve been given the death penalty.

“I just wish we had the death penalty,” she said. “I hope somebody kills him in prison. It’s just wasted space. This guy killed kids, he was just really bad. Nobody understands why he had to kill them.”

CH previously told Radar that the crazed killer had come to her house before to help her move some furniture, adding that he seemed “perfectly normal.”

“I’m relieved to know that he will never be out again. We are happy that our neighborhood is safer,” she admitted. “He won’t be coming to this neighborhood in my lifetime.”

This is exactly the way I feel. I think he killed her either in her sleep or as she was getting ready to lay down. Unless he waited until everyone was asleep and killed the girls first, I think we would have seen signs of SW fighting back. Because she was mostly undressed, I find it unlikely that they were already dead when she got home. She would have checked on them.

Why did he strangle SW but yet smother the girls? I wonder why he originally told that story he killed SW because he saw her strangling Bella instead of saying smothering. Why did he kill the girls differently? Wouldn’t you smother someone with a pillow? Cover their faces? I’ve never heard of smothering with hands only. DA said no fibers found in the girls mouths so that means he smothered the girls with his bare hands? Ugh

I don’t think Chris will see his mother for a really long time, if ever.

Im wondering if he blames his Mom and I agree with Tricia that he was strangling his mother when he Strangled Shanann. I believe he has a deep hatred for his Mom who I’m sure was very controlling his entire life. Notice when he was arrested he wanted to talk to his Father not his Mom.
